JEWELRY
Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! It’s another new
year, and Americana Indian Shows would like to
thank all of you for your support in 2012 - we
look forward to serving you in 2013.
We have some very exciting new jewelry
for this St. Patrick’s weekend sale. On our
last trip through Zuni, New Mexico, we were
able to obtain the 2010 Gallup Ceremonial
first place winning concho belt by Ruddell &
Nancy Laconsello (Zuni). We then asked the
artists to make two additional conchos for this
belt and the result is one of the most stunning
inlay bird belts they have ever created. Ruddell
suggested this would be the last large concho
belt they’ll make simply because of the
extensive amount of time it takes to complete
a masterpiece like this. The proud new owner
of this treasure will take the ribbon home as
well!
Other new works just acquired include a
fantastic wide cuff bracelet in heavy silver
by Kee Yazzie, several pieces by Alton
Bedonie including a large, all silver belt
buckle weighing in at five ounces, gorgeous
14kt gold and silver earrings and pendants
from Myron Panteah, stunning necklace and
earring sets from Jack and Mary Tom, an
exquisite micro-mosaic inlay pendant (apprx
2000 stones!) with ox-blood and angel-skin coral,
turquoise and lapis by Carl & Irene Clark and another
masterpiece by resident goldsmith Brian Clark - a
one ounce 14kt gold and high grade Lone Mountain
turquoise ring.
In addition, we obtained many excellent pieces
through collections: an Ernest Benally bracelet, a
gorgeous 14kt gold and inlay ring by Jesse Monongya,
a Joseph Coriz necklace, a Nevada Blue turquoise
bolo by Archie Henderson, a buckle and bolo set by
Howard Nelson, cluster bracelet by Fannie Ondelacy,
a Bisbee turquoise and inlay ring by Gibson Nez, onyx
and Wildhorse magnesite inlay bracelet by Wes Willie,
an oval, silver belt buckle by Tom Jim in a rare size
that fits a one-inch wide belt (great for a dress belt!),
and many more, including some great concho belts by
Andy Cadman, Sunshine Reeves and Tom Jim.
See you at the show!

Navajo RUGS
It is hard to believe that yet another year has come and
gone. Our sales of rugs and pillow sets during 2012 were
wonderful and we as well as Bill Malone and his family thank
you all for your continued business. For this series of
shows, our inventory will feature more of the fine small
to medium sized unique weavings you have asked for
and we are seeking more pillow sets as of this writing.
We were also able to fill the request for a few of the
larger weavings this past year so if you are looking for
a rug larger than what you see in our inventory please
let us know and we will work with Bill to find it for you.
Thank you once again for another great year!
Kachinas
It’s the heart of winter and the Hopi katsina have
returned to their mountain home, but this doesn’t
mean that carvers are idle. The dancers are working
on repairs and replacement ceremonial attire and
this means that their thoughts are on the coming
Soyal or “Return Ceremony”. Stop in and see what
the coming of spring holds in the way of katsina.
We will have pieces by multi-award winning artists
Laurence Dallas, Raymond Chee, Marlin Pinto,
Wilmer Kaye, and Sterling MacRae as well as
others.
ART & SANdPAINTINGS
Our inventory of sandpaintings for this series
of shows will feature more fantastic pieces by
Sammy Myerson in shadow box form as well as
fine competition quality works by Joe Ben Jr.,
Bilson Kee, Baatsoslanii and Tom Clark. We
will also restock the smaller sandpaintings including those
with the reproduction arrow heads added to the mat work.
The framed art inventory will include new works by Carol
Lee Thompson, Navajo artist Jack Black and others. We
still have a few of the nice jewelry boxes with the sandpainted
lids in our inventory and with Mother’s Day just around the
corner, these are great gift ideas.

POTTERY
Polychrome pottery is described as a vessel decorated
with three or more colors. Acoma artists have for decades
been masters of combining colorful designs and patterns.
Presently, we have dozens of examples for you to choose
from. Come in to see the latest works from Diane Lewis,
Franklin Peters and Sandra Victorino. We have work by
other artists such as Patricia Daubs, Wesley Begay, Paul
Lansing, Wilfred Garcia and Loretta Navasie. On hand
will be a variety of inexpensive horsehair decoration pottery
as well.
