For the past two years St. Alexander, St. John the Apostle and
St. Joseph’s parishes have combined to staff the Illinois Mobile Food Pantry when they
come to our area. We help an
average of 130 families from
the surrounding 5 zip codes.
No one is turned away. This
allows those who need a little extra help to get meat,
fruit and vegetables to be able to have a whole and
complete meal.

here at St. Joseph between 9 and noon. We need 30
volunteers over 18 to help hand out, set up and clean
up. As well as needing others to help the guest gather
and carry the food to their transportation and help as
needed.

The Thirty-eighth Annual Diocesan Wedding Anniversary Mass
will be celebrated on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at
the Cathedral of St. Raymond in Joliet. Couples celebrating anniversaries of 25 years, 50 years, and more than 50 years, are
welcome to attend the event. Couples will receive a special
blessing during the liturgy and will receive an anniversary certificate after the Mass. Our celebrant will be Bishop R. Daniel Conlon. Because of space limitations, there is not room for additional
guests. However, if necessary, a caregiver/helper is very welcome to attend with the couple. Pre-registration is required;
