No próximo dia 6 de agosto, o artista ALOE BLACC,
autor de temas como “I need a dollar” ou “Wake me
up” pisará o palco no Pine Cliffs, a Luxury Collection
Resort, enquadrado na Summer Gala de 2016, para
mostrar a sua capacidade enquanto cantor e compositor para capturar as complexidades das emoções
humanas.
On the 6th August, the artist ALOE BLACC, who’s written songs such as ‘I need a dollar’ and ‘Wake me up’,
will be stepping on to the stage of Pine Cliffs, a Luxury
Collection Resort, as part of Summer Gala 2016 to
show his talent for singing and writing songs that capture the complexities of human emotions.

Em agosto, a cidade de Loulé volta a ser local de encontro para milhares
de visitantes que se encontram de férias no Algarve. Este ano a Câmara
de Loulé aposta num programa com alguns concertos no Largo do Monumento Engº Duarte Pacheco. Um desses grandes concertos será o de Tony
Carreira, artista com enorme popularidade não só em Portugal como em
França, tendo sido até condecorado pelo governo gaulês.
In August, the town of Loulé is once again the meeting point for thousands
of visitors holidaying in the Algarve. This year, the local council is organising
a series of concerts at Largo do Monumento Engº Duarte Pacheco. One of
these concerts will be Tony Carreira’s, a hugely popular artist in Portugal and
France who’s even received an accolade from the French government.

A vila de Odeceixe no concelho de Aljezur, é uma vez mais o “palco central”
do festival E.S.T.A.R. Este é um evento cultural inteiramente gratuito que
procura espaços públicos singulares para promover diversos espetáculos
de teatro e outras animações de rua. A programação é bastante diversificada com espetáculos de marionetas, objetos, teatro de andas, teatro físico
ou café concerto.
The town of Odeceixe in Aljezur is once again the centre stage of the festival E.S.T.A.R. This cultural event is completely free and takes place in unique
public spaces to promote various theatre shows and street acts. The programme is quite varied and includes puppetry, object shows, stilts, physical
theatre, and café concert.

do país, em mais de 90 metros quadrados de uma só
mesa, com aproximadamente de 5 milhões de peças
coloridas de Lego, elaborada e construída por um só
colecionador.
Between 16th August and 4th September, for the
second consecutive year, the Fair and Exhibitions
Park will host the second edition of Portimão Arena
Fun Brick, a mega exhibition of Lego constructions.
This exhibition will include the biggest Lego city in
the country - with over 90 metres on one table only,
with approximately 5 million coloured Lego parts designed and built by one sole collector.

A Corrida da Baía de Monte Gordo é uma prova classificada como atletismo
de praia e conta com um trajeto de 8 quilómetros sempre junto à linha de
mar. O percurso tem início no areal da Manta Rota às 11h00 e atravessa
as praias da Lota e Altura e as praias Verde e Retur. A meta está situada na
praia do Coelho (Monte Gordo), onde será feita a entrega das medalhas e
prémios. Nesta corrida podem participar atletas nascidos em 1998 ou anteriores, inscritos individual ou coletivamente, quer sejam federados ou não,
de acordo com os escalões Juniores, Seniores e Veteranos (I, II, III, IV e V),
masculinos e femininos. Esta, que é já a 27ª edição de uma das provas mais
famosas do Algarve, promete reunir muito público ao longo do trajeto para
apoiar os participantes, animando as zonas balneares.
FMonte Gordo Bay Race is a competition classified as beach athletics with
an 8-km course that follows the coastline. It starts at the beach in Manta
Rota at 11:00 a.m. and goes through the beaches of Lota and Altura, as
well as Verde and Retur. The finish line is in Monte Gordo’s Coelho beach,
where the award ceremony will be taking place. In this race, athletes born
in 1998 or before can participate either as individuals or teams, registered
or non-registered, according to the categories Junior, Senior or Veteran (1,
2, 3, 4 and 5), men or women. The 27th edition of one of the most popular
competition in the Algarve will be gathering many people along the course
cheering, and livening up the beach.

Entre 3 e 7 de agosto, Portimão celebra o seu principal ícone gastronómico
e por toda a cidade o clima será de festa, aliada ao aroma da tradicional
sardinhada que promete abrir o apetite a toda a gente. A animação será
uma constante no eixo da zona ribeirinha que liga o Museu de Portimão à
zona “Entre Pontes”, com artesanato, doçaria, magia e sonoridades várias,
que vão do folclore à música portuguesa, tendo sempre presente a boa
sardinha assada. O acesso é livre e gratuito.
Between 3rd and 7th August, Portimão celebrates its gastronomic icon.
The festive spirit and the aroma of traditional grilled sardines will be all over
town to whet everyone’s appetite. Entertainment will fill the streets by the
riverfront between Portimão Museum and between the bridges. There will
be stalls selling handicrafts and sweets, artists performing magic tricks and
playing folk and Portuguese music, as well as grilled sardines for everyone.
Access is free of charge.
