THE PICTURES IN THIS CATALOG CAPTURE MY COLLECTION FOR
SPRING | SUMMER 2014 AND REFLECT SIX MONTHS OF CONTINUOUS
EXPERIMENTATION, TRIAL AND ERROR, DISAPPOINTMENT, SURPRISES
AND A LOT OF JOY.
IT IS NOT UNTIL WE ARE IN THE STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHING EVERYTHING
TOGETHER THAT THE DESIGN NARRATIVE REALLY COMES TO LIFE FOR ME.
CAPTURING THE RIGHT ATMOSPHERE, CREATING SETTINGS WITH OBJECTS
THAT ENHANCE THE TEXTURE AND COLORS THAT WE HAVE DESIGNED,
CELEBRATES THE CLOSE OF A SEASON FOR ME AND THE BEGINNING
OF A NEW SEASON FOR YOU.
SANDY CHILEWICH
CREATIVE DIRECTOR, FOUNDER
CHILEWICH | SULTAN LLC
Begin, Again.
And on to the next season.
Inspiration can come from anywhere.
Fourteen years ago, New York designer Sandy Chilewich introduced her
first woven textiles to the international design community. Each year her
collection grows through her tireless experimentation and passion for different
manufacturing techniques. “I am continually exploring for new materials
that combine beauty and functionality and for underutilized manufacturing
processes that, with design input, can be modernized,” says Chilewich.
Now producing a growing range of products using innovative textiles,
Chilewich has unquestionably redefined how the world dresses its tables
and covers its floors. The brand is recognized and revered internationally for
modern design, ease of care and the durability of its products.

TerraStrand
™
■
TerraStrand™, the proprietary name of our yarn, is 100% phthalate-free.
■
TerraStrand™ contains 25% renewable vegetable content.
■
TerraStrand™ will be used in over 90% of our woven products by 2015.
Chilewich is making a significant environmental development by replacing the petroleum-based
plasticizers in our yarns with phthalate-free, renewable vegetable compounds. Plasticizers have
traditionally been made from petroleum-based compounds that are used to make PVC yarns soft.
No more. We call these innovative new yarns and the fabrics made from them TerraStrand™.
Almost all of our woven products will be made from TerraStrand™ by 2015.
All Chilewich products will be 100% phthalate-free by 2015.
100% of our woven textile tablemats and all floormats are made in the USA, and finished
in our own facility in the USA.
Our quality, sustainability and of course authentic design, set us apart from all others.
Chilewich prides itself on cutting-edge design. We specialize in the manufacture of woven textile products made with vinyl for both
residential and commercial use. Vinyl is extremely durable, easy to maintain and provides us with endless design possibilities.
Unlike many other tabletop and flooring products, Chilewich textiles can be easily washed with just water and bio-degradable
detergents, helping the user reduce energy and laundering costs while maintaining a sophisticated and modern aesthetic.
Our woven vinyl products also contain Microban® antimicrobial protection. This is particularly beneficial for the home and
hospitality markets.
Microban® works continuously for the lifetime of the product to inhibit the growth of stain and odor-causing bacteria, mold and
mildew. Chilewich fabrics are covered by the GreenGuard® program certified by the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute, which
protects human health and quality of life through the reduction of chemical exposure and improved indoor air quality.
