federal leadership grant, given to only two public libraries in the nation.
This news ties back to you. Because you are a community that requires its
public library to be superb, and because you are a community willing to go
above and beyond the taxpayer’s support with your generosity, we are able
to go beyond expectations and share important resources with others—
through forward thinking, creativity and innovation.

Art exhibits in The Great Hall and
Riverwalk Display offered varying
photographic techniques, acrylic
landscapes, political cartoons,
sketches of Paris, pictures from
Westporters from the 1920s and
displays on the alluring history of
the Merritt Parkway.
Friday night receptions gave the

Each year, the nursery school of
Christ and Holy Trinity Church
seeks ways to have 3, 4 and 5 year
olds contribute to the community.
When nursery school parent
Holland Dunn and her family
discovered that a new couch for
the Children’s Library was on a
wish list, she went into action.
Kids cleaned their rooms, weeded
gardens, and fed their pets to raise
enough money to pay for two
handsome new couches for the
entire community to enjoy.
