Reactor Services
& Catalyst Handling
Our services include catalyst handling in all type reactors including mechanical work under
inert (N2) or normal atmosphere in a ‘blinds to blinds' approach.
The range of equipment includes specially manufactured machinery for services requiring
continuous discharge of catalyst / support media, vacuuming, screening and cooling /
recycling of nitrogen.
Our equipment is designed to minimize catalyst attrition and exposure to unwanted dust
particles typically expelled during loading / unloading operations. To complement these
services we also offer closed circuit video inspection, removal, cleaning and passivation of
vessel internals, blinding, bolt tensioning and welding.
We offer pre-engineering services including
planning, scheduling, coordination and above
all, the right solutions for your problems. These
services are further complemented with specialty
loading processes, notably for assuring better
density and / or uniformity of beds.
All these skills are acquired through stringent
training programs with own facilities for life support
and rescue training in confined spaces.

The rapid growth of the chemical industry in Asia has resulted in CR Asia establishing a dedicated Tubular Services division to provide a ‘one-stop
solution’ for customers. CR Asia has been involved with tubular reactor change-outs for over 20 years but now has developed specific local resources
to execute the work.
With the need for shorter turnarounds, reduced headcount, and preservation of high quality standards, CR Asia can serve all your tubular reactor needs
to help reduce downtime and therefore increase profitability.
Our services include catalyst handling on all type of tubular reactors, including mechanical work on internals for removal and re-installation. Preengineering services such as; planning, scheduling, coordination and logistics are included in every CR Asia catalyst change-out. Good planning is
vital for every job execution.

One of the most important phases of a change-out is the catalyst loading. Improved performance
of reactors during runtime is achieved by even distribution of the catalyst. Different reactors require

Tubular Services
Quality
To ensure an even distribution of the catalyst a Pressure drop (Pd) measurement is carried out.
If some tubes are outside of the pre-agreed range then corrections will be done accordingly.
The data will be electronically stored and at the end of the change-out this information is given
to the customer.
Control measures are implemented at different stages for an optimal catalyst change-out, for
example:

Chemical Cleaning
Services
CR Asia is recognized throughout the region as being a leader in the ability to provide
a ONE-STOP solution to our customers in the Oil and Gas Industr y. Our Chemical Cleaning
Services complement this reputation by offering a vast amount of Chemical Cleaning process
engineered and performed by key personnel having expert experience.
Our Chemical Cleaning processes are performed by the application of chemicals, using
specialized pumping and blending equipment to remove scales, deposits, or unwanted
materials from various types of process equipment, piping, or any wetted/heated surface.
During each chemical cleaning operation, engineers are constantly monitoring the chemical
solution with specialized analytical equipment allowing onsite analysis of the solution during
circulation. Once the unwanted deposits/scales
have been removed the results are easily
recognized by the increased plant efficiencies
of the equipment, yielding savings in reduced
operating costs.
Chemical Cleaning division also offers
specialized oil flushing services for circulating
all types of critical seal oil, hot oil, lube oil and
hydraulic oil systems, filtering them down to
the manufacturers specifications NAS 1638 or
ISO 4406:1999 specifications. In order to
achieve the required level of ISO or NASA
standards, we have designed specialized
filtering units, heating tanks and circulating
equipment to meet all oil flushing
requirements.

Air Cooled Heat Exchangers (ACHE) form a critical part of your production process

There are many factors influencing the performance of ACHE. Cleaning is just one of many solutions
for improving cooling capacity.

Hydroblasting is the most commonly used industrial cleaning application for penetration
and removal of heavy deposits. Our extensive fleet of High Pressure Pumps up to 2500 bar
with large volume water being delivered to the HP cleaning tools. This enables us to remove
difficult materials such as hardened polymer and/or coked or fused catalyst.
A vast range of nozzles, drilling attachments and lances allow for superior cleaning of all
exchangers/vessels and towers. We cater our equipment and personnel to effectively match
your plants performance and obstacles.
Our specialized equipment includes Roto-clean pipeline cleaners, 3D tank cleaning heads,

robotic surface cleaners.
By utilizing a combination high pressure water,

CDT (CR Asia
Decoking Technology)
The CDT service is specifically designed to remove coke and scale from furnace tubes. A common problem encountered in furnaces is the
build-up of coke and scale inside the tubes due to the processes of the operational plant. The most common solution in the past has been to
use Steam Air Decoking (SAD). However, there are a number of issues regarding SAD that need to be considered; namely:
Incomplete removal of coke
Increased risk of tube erosion
Heat damage to tubes
Potential fire hazard
Environmental emissions
Long shutdown times
Decreased (refining) run lengths
All these issues can be resolved by using the CDT service which is an effective and proven technology. The CDT service is a safe and costeffective solution. The process does not involve high temperatures, high pressures or chemicals.

Our Mechanical services have been uniquely developed and catered for medium to large
scale projects ranging from 5,000 to 500,000 man hours.
Being one of the first to have provided a ‘blinds to blinds' concept we offer a range of general

Total Heat Exchanger
Maintenance Services
CR Asia has a long experience in Heat Exchanger Maintenance Services. The services
include a comprehensive package, enabling our clients to fully handover the total work scope
to one controlling entity without interface issues.
Any special subcontract requirements such as lifting and scaffolding, are also managed by CR
Asia and will not require any involvement in the way of management or commercial control.
CR Asia handles “one off” single heat exchanger jobs to multiple heat exchangers in
Turnarounds and Shutdowns.
As with many other sorts of process equipment, CR Asia is very much aware of the availability
issues and has therefore focused on being in control of all the required activities and has
worked towards establishing professional experience in all aspects of these services.
The services provided comprise the following aspects:
Spading and Isolation (including BA as

Preparation, planning and management:
At the enquiry stage CR Asia will execute a full site survey to assess all the potential physical
implications of the work, such as, access to each heat exchanger for all the activities. We
will also look at the access and egress issues with regard to the logistical matters, such as
bundle transport and potential congestion issues.
Together with the client we will plan towards the best approach bearing in mind the other
planned activities in the overhaul period.
Personnel:
CR Asia has a long experience in the field of heat exchanger maintenance services and that
is due to well trained, experienced personnel. Between our Mechanical Services and Industrial
Services departments we have sufficient specialist operators, fitters, mechanics and supervision
to work with.

Waste Handling
Our Waste Handling and Vacuum Services Division offers a broad range of services
including industrial waste collection and transportation to municipality landfills and other
approved waste disposal facilities. Our fleet of Super Sucker Vacuum Trucks are capable of
vacuuming both dry and liquid generated wastes. This is supplemented by Waste Bin / Hooklift
(8 cyd 17 cyd) services for collection of various dry wastes within industrial plants.
Our commitment to protecting the environment ensures that we are able to respond and
assist with emergency spills and unplanned clean ups, such as waste oils, wet and dry
industrial products.
Our Vacuum Trucks and Static Vacuum Units are located in strategically placed plant yards
and are easily mobilized to site. We offer our Units on long or short term basis with 24
hours call availability.
