President’s Message
The 2015 touring season is off to a great start. The Valentine’s Day Alexander Valley/River Rock flash tour sponsored by Joan and Chris Rich was a tremendous success with thirteen cars, and that sets the benchmark for all
other tours in 2015.
Make your plans to attend the Safety check on March 21, 2015. The problems they find at the Safety Check typically range from loose steering wheels, and wobbly shims to leaking gasoline. Do you have a fire extinguisher?
Topics for discussion at the March meeting will include:
Preparation for the Safety Check:
We will vote for meat preference . . . ideas submitted are: 1. Rib s and chicken. 2. No change--Tri-tip and chicken.
Any other preferences need to be submitted at or before the March 5 meeting when this will be voted on.
Volunteers for doing the inspection: Pete, Chris and Ted? Others? Cooks? Set-up? Clean-up?
Christmas Party location . . . ideas submitted are: 1. Oakmont 2. Graton Community Center 3. Mister McGoos. If anyone is researching additional locations, we can delay the vote for another month.
Touring Tip: Allow room between yourself and the car in front of you when approaching steep hills.
See you all at the March 5th meeting,
Richard
Ed’s Notes
Lou Colombano Celebrates 100 Years!
Charter member Lou Colombano’s 1915 Runabout was center stage for the memorable event. Nobody is
prouder of their Model T than Lou, who has won many awards and trophies for his beautifully restored 1915
Runabout. I don’t know who looked more dapper, Lou or the Model T as they greeted over 200 guests.

Bring your Model T’s for a free safety inspection. We will use the guidelines provided by the
National Model T Ford Club of America. You will receive a printed list of inspection points and
problems that need attention. Our Club members provide this service every year to help new
and seasoned Model T owners recognize potential safety issues. This in no way negates the
owners responsibilty to keep their T in safe running condition. The Safety team is all volunteer
Club members.
Don’t miss this fun day and the kick-off to our touring season. Seeing friends after the winter
months and checking out the T’s. What better way to spend the day. What will Dave do this year?

How many Model T’ers does it take to replace a top?
Richard and Nanette Chuck invited REMTC members to their Garage Day to help, watch or add comments on
how to install new bows and wrap and replace their existing top. Quite a few showed up with many ideas on how
to tackle the job. Most arrived at 9:30 and left around 12 noon. The ultimate experts on installing a top, Mal and
Gwen Brown stayed to finish the job. We will wait to hear the results at the next meeting. I am sure that Richard
and Nanette were appreciative of all the help.
Fitting new bows.
Let’s see Gwen, How many of these have we done?
Malcolm tries an inside job.

Humm, wonder how long this will take?
