Bone Drop Winner and more! Animal Harbor News for August 3
Announcing the Winner of the Third Annual Bone Drop The winner of the $5,000 prize is Sue Brownfield of Winchester. She
split the cost of the bone (and the winnings) with her friend Kathy
Griffith from Chattanooga. We'll have pictures of them later.
As the bones were being dropped, the wind kicked up and carried most
of them offtarget, but we still had a clear winner.
Thank you to everyone who bought a bone! We raised $10,000 for
to help complete the new shelter campaign. Thank you to our Bone Drop Sponsor:

Scotch and Bourbon‐‐ Rescued and
Rehomed
Found with his brother Scotch on the side of
the highway, Bourbon had a bad case of ear
mites and fleas, and was altogether in rough
shape and hungry. After medications, vetting,
and a little TLC from the Animal Harbor staff
and volunteers, Bourbon found a home, and
he even convinced the adopters to take his
brother as well so they get to stay together!
Dogs Great and Small find homes
Storm the Great Dane was brought in during a storm after the poor girl had been
narrowly missed by her rescuer's car, only to be hit by the next car that came
along. Lucky for her, she didn't have any serious injuries, so it wasn't too hard to
get her healthy and happy. https://ui.constantcontact.com/visualeditor/visual_editor_preview.jsp?agent.uid=1121818622776&format=html&printFrame=true

Little Man the Toy Poodle had a person who
loved him very much, but her health didn't
allow her to continue caring for him. She
gave him up in the hopes that he could find
someone to love him almost as much as she
did. We feel pretty sure that he did since his
adopters came to check him out for a friend,
then when their friend said she wasn't ready, they came right back to adopt him
themselves! Since both Storm and Lil Man were senior pets, who can sometimes
be harder to place, we were so pleased that they both found such wonderful
homes quickly.
