Name:
Charity
Afternoon
Our first proper Charity
Day was a roaring success. Hundreds
of pounds were raised and the Student
Council is going to decide who to donate the
money to. There were lots of fun activities
including HBL’s Football Tournament, a ‘Chubby
Bunny Challenge' to see how many marshmallows
a person can hold in their mouth. There was also
a chance to ‘Soak the Teacher’ with hundreds
of students lining up to throw a wet
sponge at members of staff.
Form:
LGBT
DRAMA
The LGBT Drama production was so critically
acclaimed that an external organisation came
into school during the last half term to work
with our students. Their work was then part of
an installation in Birmingham City Centre with
a number of schools visiting to see what PBIV
had produced. We have so, so many talented
young people.
We have had a week of different European
foods this week. Each lunchtime, there has
been a different country’s offer from Italian
homemade pizza to Greek kebabs. We have
learnt more about the many cultures that
make up Europe.
Carol Pemberton MBE has been
heavily involved in working with
PBIV students. The world
renowned quintet have taken over
extra-curricular music to inspire
our Year 7s and look at developing
them as musicians. We are very
fortunate to have them be part of
Team PB and this is an incredible
opportunity for our students who
are producing some first class
music.
Our Student Council visited the Careers
and Apprenticeship show to look at what
opportunities lie before them once they
leave Team PB. Not only did they get to
speak to people from major companies,
they were rewarded with a trip to Nandos
for their hard work. We must thank our
Governors Murrett and Georgina Mendez
for organising the event and inviting us
along.

St. Ge
Our
Sports’ Leaders have
organised a Handball Tournament
with our local Primary Schools. This
was an incredible success, not only were
our students brilliant at being organisers
and Leaders but our Primary Partners, were
impressed by how mature our PBIV
students were.
Recruitment Drive
Team PB is growing, as you already
know we will have both Year 7 and Year
8 at PBIV and we are opening PBV in
September. If you know anyone who you
think is good enough to be a member of
staff at Team PB then please look on our
website for further information.
St. George’s Day was celebrated in
traditional style by our students,
tucking into Roast Beef and Yorkshire
Pudding!
