Informed Choices After
Death: A Discussion Group
Yolo County
Town Hall Meeting
Choices, legalities, and costs surrounding a
person’s death can be difficult for the
family at a time when they may feel the
most vulnerable. Pre-planning enables
families to procure information and make
reasoned decisions regarding after-death
wishes and needs.
From 9:30-11 a.m., Wednesday, June 25, the
Yolo County Commission on Aging & the
Area 4 Agency on Aging will hold a
discussion on keeping seniors independent into
their later years. It’s also an opportunity for
seniors to state what matters most regarding
their independence. Let us know if you’re
concerned about Transportation, Housing,
Home Care, etc. in your later years. Join the
conversation!
A first time organizational meeting to preplan will be discussed at 10:30 a.m. on
Wednesday, June 18. Several helpful tools
will be available for participants. This
discussion group is sponsored by Yolo
Adult Day Health Center/Woodland
Healthcare, and partially funded by the
Area 4 Area on Aging. For information,
contact Peggy Phelps at 530.666.8828 or
[email protected].
Health Access
for Older Californians
The CA Commission on Aging will
hold a Public Hearing on health care
accessibility and barriers in rural communities. This hearing will be held on
Thursday, June 5, 2008, from 9-11 a.m.

fascinating review of medieval
kings with the first monarch in

most remembered for signing the

action, bickering, intrigue and
general chaos in this play that you
might not notice it isn’t even
mentioned!

Donor Opportunities
Teens Helping Seniors
Individuals, families, and

those they wish to honor,
memorialized within our new

dedicate rooms, artwork,
furnishings, or outdoor facilities as
lasting remembrances. Funds
raised from private donors will
allow for many enhancements to
the facility. For more information,
please contact Susannah.

around the house? If so, the THS

and the THS program provides a
team of supervised teenagers to get
the job done. Job Request Forms
