AEGLE 2013 - Come on, it’s on
A
IM organizes its 3 rd Management Fest,
AEGLE 2013 - a p l a t f o r m f o r m a n a g e m e n t
professionals of the 21st century to gauge their skills
against the best brains from various B-Schools
across South India, on Saturday, November 9, 2013.
The preparations are on in full swing with the entire
Albertian family actively involved to make the event
a grand success.

Placement of 2011 - 2013 Batch
S
em. 4 students continue to receive career
opportunities amidst their final semester examinations.
Major recruiters of the month were South Indian Bank
(for the post of Relationship Managers - Marketing),
Vodafone (for Zonal Management Trainees) and ICIC Bank
Ltd (for Development Officers). Placement figure of the
batch has crossed 60% mark; a few students await their
final interview result as well.

nam Celebrations at our Institute was held on
Friday, the 13 September, 2013. The programme began
with the prayer song by Mr. Akash A, Sem. 1. Rev. Fr.
Antony Arackal, Manager, AIM delivered the Onam
message. In the message he stressed on the importance
of equality for all and reminded everyone that it is also
our responsibility to ensure that all are happy.

M. of Sem.1 together presented a paper on "Rupee
Depreciation : Boon or Bane", in the National
Conference on "Rupee Depreciation - Causes
andConsequences" , organized by M.E.S Marampilly on
28 September, 2013. The paper presentation was well
appreciated by the audience at M.E.S.

Ms. Shiny C. M., Dr. Rajagopala Nair, Mr. Peter Afraini
and others made the audience tap their feet to some
beautiful melodies.The stage programmes were followed
by other traditionalOnam events like Tug O' War,
Uriyadietc. The Onam games came to an end with the
distribution of a huge bunch of banana to the winners
(first semester boys and girls teams).

Dr. RajagopalaNair, our Director, speaking on the
occasion explained the significance of Onam to
Keralites; where one dreams of a world that does not
differentiate between persons. Onam, he said, may have
lost many of the pomp and splendour it had earlier,but
is still one occasion where we come together and spend
some quality time with family and friends.

presented a paper on "Rupee depreciation and
policy measures to overcome economic
downturn in India"in the National Conference on
"Rupee Depreciation - Causes and Consequences",
organized by M.E.S Marampilly on 28 September ,
2013. Mr. Nidhin Johny, Asst. Professor, AIM also
participated in the above conference.

interesting competition held was the writing down of
maximum number of words that included the name
Onam. Ms. Sonia P. Thomas, Sem. 3 emerged the winner
in this event.
The games were followed by a lip-smacking
sumptuous sadhya, served in the traditional manner.
The many different Onam dishes and Payasam served
reminded everyone of the unique features of a festival
that Keralites always carry with them all around the
world.
Ten students of the First semester Fr. Vimal Francis,
Mr. Prashanth G., Mr. Sinto Joy, Mr. Vineeth Maxwel,
Mr. Ankith Tolasaria, Ms. Padmini P. V., Ms. Anisha
Thomas C., Ms. Rincy Bernadin Huberts, Ms. Teena
Thomas, and Ms. Sajida M. had their first experience in
participating in a management fest when they attended
'Denovo 2013 held at TOC-H on the 26- 27 September,
2013. They put up a good performance and reached the
final round in two of the games they participated.

Prof. Harry Cleetus, Principal, St. Albert's College
recalled many of the Onam celebrations that took place
in St. Albert's College in the past and exhorted everyone
to remember the message of togetherness that Onam
brings to people.
Fr. Vimal Francis, Sem. 1 welcomed the gathering
and Mr. Jithu Kachappilly, Sem. 1 proposed the vote of
thanks.
The inaugural session was followed by the cultural
programmes which included group song by the first
semester students who also enthralled the audience

Guest Talk @ AIM
Mr. Aravind Warrier addressing the students
M
r.AravindWarrier, HR Lead, Timken India Pvt. Ltd,
addressed our first Sem. students on "How Professionals
behave in an Organization" on Saturday,October 7,2013.
He is a certified NLP trainer, who is very much dynamic
and resourceful. He was successful in giving out a positive
vibe to the audience and encouraged the students to
pursue their dreams in spite of the many obstacles that
might come their way. He shared the experiences which
he had to face while he was reaching out for his goals.
Being a potential recruiter, his discussion was on how to
behave while facing an interview. He also stated some
qualities that a recruiter would expect from anindividual
like composure, professionalism, integrity, flexibility and
communication. The struggles he had to endure to become
a happy and successful man right before their eyes became
a true eye-opener to all. Hisphilosophy that children should
not be exposed to all the luxuries of life, as the future
itself is unpredictable was a life-lesson for all. He also
encouraged the students to develop and keep useful
contacts in the industry and spoke about the importance
of building a strong reading habit. The interactive session
was an enlightening experience for the students.
Transition from Campus to Corporates

r. Sanjith Ravi, Regional Manager, Wealth,
ICICI, Hyderabad addressed the Sem. 1 students at AIM
on 7 September 2013 on 'Management Transition from
Campus to Corporates'. He discussed the need for MBA
graduates in corporates and explained how one should
behave to reach the horizons of success in life. The
talk concluded with an interactive session where the
students eagerly interacted with the guest. The session
was an enriching experience for the students.
