The Ladies for Rizal New Jersey Chapter will hold a declamation contest to honor the memory
and legacy of Dr. Jose P. Rizal, the national hero of the Philippines. The contest is open to
Grades 6 - 12 students in New Jersey and New York.

a poem written in Spanish, on the eve of his
execution on December 30, 1896. This poem was translated to English, My Last Farewell,
Tagalog, Ang Aking Huling Ptalam, and several other languages. Contestants have a choice
to recite the poem in Spanish, English or Tagalog. We have altached copies of the poem, a
registration form and a flyer on the contest.
