PASTOR’S COLUMN
Dear Parish Family of Saint Clement,
The Lord be with you!
I a ended recently a mee ng at the Pastoral Center for all the priests that received a new assignment this year. There
was close to 30 in a endance. This Poem was read to us and I thought this would make a great column while I was
away on vaca on.
I've learned that no ma er what happens, or how bad it seems to-day, life goes on and it will be be er tomorrow.
I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she
handles these three things; a rainy day, lost luggage and tangled Christmas lights.
I've learned that regardless of your rela onship with your parents,
you'll miss them when they are gone from your life.
I've learned that making a 'living' is not the same as making a 'life'.
I've learned that life some mes gives you a second chance.
I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mi on both hands.
You need to be able to throw something back.
I've learned that if you pursue happiness, it will elude you. But if you focus on your family, your friends,
the needs of others, your work and doing the very best you can, happiness will find you.
I've learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision.
I've learned that even when I have pains, I do not have to be one.
I've learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone: people love that human touch holding hands, a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back.
I've learned that you should pass this one to someone you really care about ...
I just did. Some mes they just need a li le something to make them smile.
People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did.
But people will never forget how you made them feel.

for our children, the Knights of Columbus is hosting a trick-or-treat alternative.
Kids can trick-or-treat from trunk to trunk
in a line-up of vehicles parked in the
church’s back parking lot.
Interested in decorating your car &
passing out candy?
Pick a theme and bring lots of treats for the
kids. Cars will start lining up at 5pm to be
ready for trick-or-treaters at 6pm.

Have you ever wondered what it’s like up on the altar during Mass? Ever
wanted a closer look at what it’s all about? Well, the altar servers would like to
invite you to join our ministry. We are seeking boys and girls from our parish that
would like to become more involved by serving at Mass. We’ll provide the training,
all you have to do is show up with enthusiasm and a heart that is ready to participate in Mass in a new way.

Querida Familia Parroquial de San Clemente,
¡El Señor este con vosotros!
Recientemente, atendí a una reunión en el Centro Pastoral para todos los sacerdotes que recibieron una nueva asignación. Había cerca de 30. Nos leyeron este Poema y pensé que sería estupendo compar rlo con ustedes mientras estoy
de vacaciones.
He aprendido que no importa lo que pase, o lo malo que parezca hoy, la vida sigue y mañana será mejor.
He aprendido que puedes saber mucho acerca de una persona en la forma que actúa en tres situaciones: un día
lluvioso, cuando pierde su equipaje o cuando se encuentra con unas luces de Navidad completamente enredadas.
He aprendido que no importa la relación que tengas con tus padres,
los vas a echar de menos cuando se vayan de tu vida.
He aprendido que ganarse la vida no es lo mismo que hacer una vida.
He aprendido que no se debe ir por la vida con un guante de pelota en ambas manos.
Tienes que ser capaz de rar algo a cambio.
He aprendido que si persigues la felicidad, esta te eludirá. Pero si te enfocas en tu familia, tus amigos, las
necesidades de otros, tu trabajo y hacer las cosas lo mejor que puedas, la felicidad te encontrará a .
He aprendido que siempre que decido algo con un corazón abierto, generalmente es una decisión correcta.
He aprendido que aun cuando tengo dolores. No tengo porque ser uno para los demás.
He aprendido que todos los días se debe alcanzar y tocar a alguien: la gente le encanta ese toque humano –
tocar sus manos, un abrazo cálido, o simplemente una palmada amistosa en la espalda.
He aprendido que usted debe enseñar esto a alguien que realmente le importa... yo lo acabo de hacer.
A veces sólo necesita un pequeño gesto para hacerlos sonreír.

¿Que es Trunk or Treat?
Es una manera de promover un ambiente seguro y divertido para que
nuestros niños pidan trick-or-treat de
carro a carro. Carros estarán estacionados en una línea en el estacionamiento atrás de la Iglesia.

repartir dulces?
Decore su carro y traiga muchos dulces
para repartir a los niños. Carros comenzaran a ponerse en línea a las 5pm para estar listos para recibir a los niños a las 6pm.
ASISTENCIA PARA LA NAVIDAD
Una vez mas, nuestra parroquia estará ayudando a familias necesitadas de la parroquia con ayuda durante esta
temporada de Navidad. Si usted necesita ayuda durante
esta Navidad, favor de pasar por la oficina para llenar una
registración comenzando el lunes, 3 de noviembre al
Viernes, 14 de noviembre. Asistencia será dada a las
familias registradas en la parroquia solamente.
