Penang or Pulau Pinang as locally named derived from Betel
Nut Palm. No trip to Penang is complete without going through
its historical capital city Georgetown where diverse Asian
cultures and heritage are evident. As acknowledgment of its
well-preserved cultural and historical heritage, the city was
listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO on the 7th of July
2008.
Begin with visit to the Wat Chayamangkalaram, a Siamese
temple which was officially given its site by Queen Victoria in
1845 and it houses a 180-foot gold-plated statue of the
reclining Buddha.
Then walk across to the The Dhammikarama Burmese Buddhist
Temple which was founded in 1803. It is one of the earliest and
the only Burmese Temple in Malaysia featuring the historical
pagoda, the temple's well and Sima hall, the temple was
designated in 1988 as one of the state's historical sites.
After settling in, unwind at one of the above mentioned
resort beach or sea front bars, enjoy your favourite cocktails
while the sun set. For a group of more than 30 pax, a
sumptuous array of Beach Barbeque dinner can be arranged at
the resort or hotel. After dinner take a stroll along Batu
Ferringhi which comes to life with the night market; here one
will be able to pick-up their bargaining skill when you shop for
souvenirs and gifts.

Penang Footprint Tour is an interesting combination of one of
Penang’s most notable religious realm and historical landmark.
The other on the north-eastern coastal area where preservation
of eco-friendly environment and home to many interesting
species of plants and animals, some of which may not be found
elsewhere in the country.
Next, drive to the Esplanade and hop on Penang famous trishaw
from City & Town Hall to ride pass by historical landmark such
as Fort Cornwallis that was erected in 1786, Penang Clock
Tower which was built to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee
of Queen Victoria, turn into the “Street of Harmony”, where
four religious worship houses namely, St. George Anglican
Church, ‘Goddess of Mercy Kuan Yin’ Temple, Maha
Mariamman. Hindu Temple and Kapitan
Keling Mosque are located on this street.
Continue the ride through the ever
colorful, vibrant and lively Little India,
here a brief stop to see “Roti Chanai”
making and “The Tarik” experience. The
trishaw ride ends at Khoo Kongsi - one of
the most distinctive Chinese clan
associations in Malaysia. It is well known
worldwide for its extensive lineage that
can be traced back 650 years ago, as well as a magnificent clan
house.
After the tour, stopover for a delectable Contemporary Asian
Fusion Set lunch at The Sire Museum located at the former
home of the prominent businessman and philanthropist in
Penang. It is the first museum restaurant ever set up in
Penang.
Morning visit to Tropical
Spice Gardens set out

Kek Lok Si Temple a Buddhist temple situated in Air Itam in
Penang and is one of the best known temples on the island.
Latest addition to the Kek Lok Si Temple complex is the huge
30.2 m bronze statue of the Goddess of Mercy “Kuan Yin”. Here
visitors will also get to see the panoramic view of the town and
village.
En route back to resort, stop by at Gurney Drive for lunch at
Bali Hai Seafood Restaurant for a Chinese Mixed Seafood family
style lunch.
After lunch, guests who enjoy shopping can take a 5 minutes
walk to Gurney Plaza Shopping Mall which offers endless
varieties.
In the evening, dine at The 32 Mansion set in a heritage house
by the seafront just 10 minutes walking distance from The
Eastern & Oriental Hotel, Penang. It has the feeling of stepping
back to a time of colonial bliss. This restaurant offers both
regional and international gastronomic delight.

In the evening, within Batu Ferrighi beach area is the Ferringhi
Garden Restaurant. The décor is set with beautiful landscaped
garden that surrounds the whole building. The patio is planted
with lusty tropical green plants, a mini water fall and several
fish ponds fills the whole place with tranquility. The indoor
area is tastefully decorated with Balinese furniture, decorative
items and floral arrangements that make the place charming
and cosy.
Day 4 – Sun, Sand & Sea Fiesta
Day 4 – Gala Dinner and Party…
Experience an old traditional festival of Dragon Boat Races
which dates back to the 4th Century. First, get to do aerobics
warm-up and safety briefing and Dragon eye dotting ceremony
by the leader/organizer of your group. Then, get ready for
the fun dragon boat race.
Culminate your stay in Penang on the last evening, either set
for a traditional “Baba & Nyonya” themed dinner specially
catered at Pinang Peranakan Mansion in the heart heritage
Georgetown. This theme reflects the Straits Chinese’s unique
lifestyle and customs which had not only left behind a rich
legacy of antiques but its cultural influences like cuisine,
cultural and ethics that are still evident in Penang today.
The other options are Colonial Theme Dinner at Fort
Cornwallis, Rainforest & Tribal Theme Dinner at the natural
Quarry Garden, Penang Favourite Hawkers’ Fair Theme or
simply head down to the waterfront at Tanjung City Marina
for Western Contemporary Gala Dinner and Dance Party at QE
II. Entertainment such as Classical String Quartet Live Band
and DJ with Music Machine will spin your favourite dance
music.
A fun-filled beach Olympics and team building activities take
place simultaneously with the “Dragon Boat Race”. Basically,
the theme's ingenuity and co-operation will be tested. The
event will be held at the same beach.

Day 5 – Till we meet again
After the excitement and fun, enjoy a sumptuous
International buffet spread set at the garden by the beach of
the resort.
In the afternoon pamper yourself with the resort spa or
simply laze by the swimming pool.
Be sure to pack up at least a few of Penang’s souvenirs before
leaving; be bold enough to try the local Hawker’s Centre in
Georgetown for Malay Nasi Lemak or Fried Kway Teow or
Spicy Hokkien Mee (Noodles) which are Penang’s notable
dishes, and famous King of the fruits “Durian”.
