CHOIR PRACTICE
Looking for children (second grade and up) and teenagers to sing for Holy Week and Easter Services:
Palm Sunday 9:15 am, Holy Thursday 7:30 pm, Good Friday 3 pm and Easter Sunday 9:15 am.
There will be three mandatory rehearsals: March 10, 17, 24 at 6 pm in the lower hall of the church.
All Religious Ed students are strongly urged to participate in helping to enhance these Liturgies.

2. „Gdzie jest brat twój?” – Parafie i wspólnoty
To co zostało powiedziane odnośnie do Kościoła powszechnego, trzeba zastosować w życiu parafii i wspólnot. Czy w
tych rzeczywistościach kościelnych daje się doświadczyć przynależności do jednego ciała? Ciała, które zarazem
otrzymuje i dzieli się tym, co Bóg pragnie ofiarować? Ciała, które zna i troszczy się o swoje najsłabsze członki, ubogie i małe? Czy też chronimy się w miłość uniwersalną, która angażuje się daleko w świecie, zapominając o Łazarzu,
który siedzi przed naszymi zamkniętymi drzwiami?.
Aby przyjąć i w pełni owocnie wykorzystać to, co Bóg nam daje, trzeba pokonać granice Kościoła widzialnego w
dwóch kierunkach.
Po pierwsze, jednocząc się w modlitwie z Kościołem w niebie. Kiedy ziemski Kościół się modli, powstaje wspólnota
wzajemnej służby i dobra, która dociera aż przed oblicze Boga. Ze świętymi, którzy znaleźli swoją pełnię w Bogu,
stanowimy część tej wspólnoty, w której obojętność zostaje przezwyciężona przez miłość. Kościół niebieski nie jest
tryumfujący dlatego, że odwrócił się plecami do cierpień świata i sam zaznaje radości. Raczej święci mogą już kontemplować i radować się z faktu, że dzięki śmierci i zmartwychwstaniu Jezusa pokonali ostatecznie obojętność, zatwardziałość serca i nienawiść. Dopóki to zwycięstwo miłości nie ogarnie całego świata, święci wędrują z nami jeszcze jako pielgrzymi. Św. Teresa z Lisieux, doktor Kościoła, przekonana, że radość w niebie ze zwycięstwa miłości
ukrzyżowanej nie jest pełna, dopóki choćby tylko jeden człowiek na ziemi cierpi i się skarży, pisała: „Bardzo liczę na
to, że nie będę bezczynna w niebie, moim pragnieniem jest nadal pracować dla Kościoła i dla dusz”.
My również mamy udział w zasługach i radości świętych, a oni uczestniczą w naszej walce i w naszym pragnieniu
pokoju i pojednania. Ich radość ze zwycięstwa zmartwychwstałego Chrystusa jest dla nas źródłem siły, aby przezwyciężyć liczne formy obojętności i zatwardziałości serca.
Z drugiej strony, każda wspólnota chrześcijańska jest powołana do przekraczania progu, który pozwala jej wejść w
relację z otaczającym ją społeczeństwem, z ubogimi i dalekimi. Kościół ze swej natury jest misyjny, nie zasklepiony
na samym sobie, ale posłany do wszystkich ludzi.
Tą misją jest cierpliwe dawanie świadectwa o Tym, który chce doprowadzić do Ojca całą rzeczywistość i każdego
człowieka. Misja jest tym, czego miłość nie może przemilczeć. Kościół idzie za Jezusem Chrystusem drogą, która go
prowadzi do każdego człowieka, aż po krańce ziemi (por. Dz 1, 8). W ten sposób możemy zobaczyć w naszym bliźnim brata i siostrę, za których Chrystus umarł i zmartwychwstał. Wszystko, co otrzymaliśmy, otrzymaliśmy także dla
nich. I podobnie, to co ci bracia posiadają, jest darem dla Kościoła i dla całej ludzkości.
Drodzy bracia i siostry, jakże pragnę, aby miejsca, w których wyraża się Kościół, w szczególności nasze parafie i nasze wspólnoty, stały się wyspami miłosierdzia na morzu obojętności! (c.d.n.)
