These "home mission" dioceses cannot support an adequate number of priests. They cannot afford funding for youth ministry programs or religious education. This week we take up a collection for the Catholic Home Missions Appeal. Help strengthen the Church at home with a generous donation. LATIN AMERICA COLLECTION Today, we will take up the Collection for the Church in Latin America. Your gift to the Collection will fund catechesis, youth ministry programs, and seminarian education in Latin America and the Caribbean. One participant in catechetical training, Andrea, said that the experience was informative and enriching—the catechists were able to meet each other and share their diverse experiences. The support you give today will fund formation programs and provide opportunities for years to come. Please support the Church in Latin America and the Caribbean and be generous in today's Collection. BACK TO SCHOOL COLLECTION St. Joseph’s Social Ministry is having a “Back to School Collection” starting next week, August 8-31, 2016. Since there are so many wonderful donors throughout our Community who give school supplies, the Saint Joseph’s Social Ministry is asking your support in a different realm of much needed School needs. Receptacles for your donations will be in the parish office. Thank you for your great generosity for our needy children.
