Herstellungsverfahren
Das ätherische Lavendelöl bulgarisch wird durch Wasserdampfdestillation der frischen Blütenstände
des echten Lavendels (Lavandula angustifolia) gewonnen. Dabei dient heißer Wasserdampf als
Trägerstoff für die leicht flüchtigen organischen Komponenten der Blüten. Durch die NichtMischbarkeit der organischen Bestandteile des ätherischen Öles und des Wassers findet beim
Abkühlen eine spontane Phasentrennung statt, so dass das reine ätherische Öl abgeschieden werden
kann. Die Ausbeute liegt zwischen 0.8 und 1.6%.[1,2]
Manufacturing method
The essential lavender oil Bulgarian is obtained by water steam distillation of the fresh blossoms of real
lavender (Lavandula angustifolia). Hot water steam is used as a carrier for the volatile organic compounds of the
blossoms. Due to the non miscibility of the organic compounds with water, the phases readily separate upon
cooling and the essential oil can be easily separated. The yield is between 0.8 and 1.6%.[1,2]
Botanischer Ursprung des Lavendelöl bulgarisch
Die Art echter Lavendel (Lavandula angustifolia) gehört zur
Gattung Lavendel (Lavandula, Unterfamilie Nepetoideae) in der
Familie der Lippenblütler (Lamiaceae), die zur Ordnung der
Lippenblütlerartigen (Lamiales) zählt. Ursprüngliche Heimat
des Lavendel sind die Küstenregionen des Mittelmeeres. Die
Pflanze ist mehrjährig, wächst als verholzender Strauch und
erreicht Wuchshöhen von bis zu 1 Meter. Die Zweige sind
aufsteigend und aufrecht. Die schmalen Blätter sind zwischen
40 und 50 mm lang und graufilzig behaart. Die blauen bis
violetten Blüten sind in 6 bis 10 sogenannten Scheinquirlen
auf dem ährenartigen Blütenstand angeordnet. Blütezeit ist
zwischen Juni und August.[3]
Botanical origin of essential lavender oil Bulgarian
The species of real lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) belongs to the
genus lavender (Lavandula, subfamily Nepetoideae) in the mint
family (Lamiaceae), which belongs to the order of mint likes (Lamiales). Original home of the lavender are the
coastal areas of the Mediterranean. The plant is perennial and grows as a woody shrub-like and achieves heights
of growth up to 1 meter. The branches are ascending and upright. The narrow leaves are hairy and between 40

and 50 mm long and show a grey hairy felt. The blue to violet flowers are arranged in 6 to 10 so-called false
whorl on the ear-like inflorescence. Bloom time is from June to August.[3]
Charakterisierung
Das ätherische Lavendelöl bulgarisch ist eine leicht bewegliche, farblose bis gelbliche Flüssigkeit. Es
besitzt einen charakteristischen, frischen und blumigen Geruch. Das ätherische Lavendelöl bulgarisch
löst sich gut in Alkohol (1:5, 70% Ethanol), gut in Pflanzenölen und anderen ätherischen Ölen. Es ist
nahezu unlöslich in Wasser. Hauptbestandteile sind Linalool und Linalylacetat. In geringerer Menge
sind auch Ocimen-Isomere, Terpinen-4-ol und Limonen enthalten.[1,2]
Characterisation
Essential lavender oil Bulgarianis a mobile, colourless to light yellow coloured liquid. It has a characteristic,
fresh and bloomy scent. Essential lavender oil Bulgarianis good soluble in alcohol (1:5, 70% ethanol), and
good soluble in vegetable oils and other essential oils. It is almost insoluble in water. Major compounds are
linalool and linalyl acetate. Ocimenes, terpinen-4-ol and limonene are contained in a smaller amount.[1,2]
Verwendung in der Küche
Ätherisches Lavendelöl bulgarisch wird im Allgemeinen nicht zur Zubereitung von Speisen und
Getränken verwendet. Die Nahrungsmittelindustrie nutzt es allerdings als Aromastoff. Die jungen
Blätter und Blüten der Pflanze werden in der mediterranen Küche zum Würzen von Fleisch,
Fischgerichten und Süßspeisen eingesetzt.[2]
Use in kitchen
Essential lavender oil Bulgarian is not generally used in the preparation of food and drink. The food industry
uses it, however, as a flavoring agent. The young leaves and flowers of the plant are used in Mediterranean
cooking to flavor meat or fish dishes and desserts.[2]
Arzneiliche Verwendung, Phytotherapie
Die Inhaltsstoffe des ätherischen Lavendelöls bulgarisch besitzen eine Reihe von gesundheitlich
relevanten Eigenschaften. Lavendelöl bulgarisch ist insbesondere in Frankreich und England seit sehr

langer Zeit eine Art Volksheilmittel. Ätherisches Lavendelöl bulgarisch zeigt eine starke
antiinfektiöse Wirkung und wird daher zur Behandlung von Akne, Ekzemen, Furunkel und
Abszessen empfohlen. Zudem wirkt das ätherische Lavendelöl bulgarisch zellbildend auf der Haut.
Es kann unverdünnt bei Allergien, Wunden, Narben und Verbrennungen (auch Sonnenbrand) auf die
Haut aufgetragen werden. Bei krankhaftem Juckreiz (Pruritis) wirkt es diesem entgegen und kann
durch seine gleichzeitige entzündungshemmende Eigenschaft einer Entzündung der betroffenen
Hautstellen entgegen wirken. Als Anwendung werden Einreibungen, Massagen oder Ölbäder
empfohlen. Das ätherische Lavendelöl bulgarisch hat auch eine schmerzstillende (analgetische)
Wirkung und kann bei Muskel-, Kopf- Zahn- und Ohrenschmerzen angewandt werden.[4]
Rezept für eine Ölmischung zur Behandlung von Mittelohrentzündungen:
15 Tr. Lavendelöl bulgarisch
10 Tr. Cajeputöl
5 Tr. Teebaumöl
15 mL Johanniskrautöl
Die ätherischen Öle werden im Johanniskrautöl gelöst. 1 Tropfen der Mischung wird auf einem Stück
Watte in den Gehörgang eingeführt.
Medical use, phytotherapy
The compounds of essential lavender oil Bulgarian have a number of health-related properties. Essential
lavender oil Bulgarian is particularly in France and England a kind of folk remedy for a very long time.
Essential lavender oil Bulgarian has strong anti-infective properties and is therefore recommended for the
treatment of acne, eczema, boils and abscesses. In addition, the essential lavender oil Bulgarian acts cellforming on the skin. It may be applied undiluted to the skin with allergies, wounds, scars and burns (including
sunburn). In pathological itching (pruritis), it counteracts this, and inhibits a simultaneous inflammation of the
affected skin by its anti-inflammatory property. For application, ointments, massage and bath oils are
recommended. The essential lavender oil Bulgarian has an analgesic effect and can be applied to muscle-, head, tooth- and ear pain.[4]
Recipe for an oil mixture for the treatment of otitis media:
15 drops lavender oil Bulgarian
10 drops cajeput oil
5 drops tea tree oil
15 mL of St. John's Wort oil
The essential oils are dissolved in the St. John's wort oil. 1 drop of the mixture is put on a piece of cotton wool
and fed in the ear canal.
Aromatherapie
In der Aromatherapie wird ätherisches Lavendelöl bulgarisch aufgrund seiner stark beruhigenden
Eigenschaft insbesondere bei Schlaflosigkeit und Einschlafstörungen eingesetzt. Seine spasmolytische

Ängsten genutzt. Auch depressive Verstimmungen sollen durch die Anwendung von ätherischem
Lavendelöl bulgarisch als Einreibung, Massageöl, Ölbad oder in der Duftlampe behandelt werden.[4,5]
Aromatherapy
In aromatherapy, essential lavender oil Bulgarian is used because of its strong sedative effect especially with
insomnia. Its powerful antispasmodic (muscle relaxant), and antihypertensive effect is often used with general
nervousness and anxiety. Even depression should be treated by the application of essential lavender oil
Bulgarian as an ointment, massage oil, oil bath or in the aroma lamp.[4,5]
Anwendung in der Kosmetik
In der Kosmetik wird das ätherische Lavendelöl bulgarisch vor allem zur Herstellung von Eau de
Colognes (Lavendelwasser), Rasierwasser, Badezusätzen und als Seifenduft eingesetzt. Es ist zudem
in vielen weiteren Kosmetikartikel enthalten. Ätherisches Lavendelöl bulgarisch eignet sich gut für
Mischungen mit Cistrose, Eichenmoos, Fichtennadel, Geranie, Kiefernadel, Muskatellersalbei, Nelke,
Patchouli, Rosmarin, Vetiver, Zedernholz und Zitrusölen.[2,4]
Use in Cosmetic
In cosmetics, essential lavender oil Bulgarian is mainly used for the production of colognes (lavender water),
aftershave lotions, bath salts and as a soap fragrance and for many other cosmetic products. Essential lavender
oil Bulgarian works well for mixtures with rock rose, oak moss, pine needles, geranium, pine, clary sage, clove,
patchouli, rosemary, vetiver, cedar and citrus oils.[2,4]
Anwendungs- und Warnhinweise, Nebenwirkungen
Einige der Inhaltstoffe von ätherischem Lavendelöl bulgarisch sind als gesundheitlich bedenklich
einzustufen. Limonen, Linalylacetat und Linalool besitzen ein allergenes Potential. Bei einem
übermäßigen Konsum von Lavendelprodukten kann eine krankhafte Schläfrigkeit (Somnolenz)
auftreten. Ätherisches Lavendelöl bulgarisch eignet sich nicht für die innere Anwendung bei
Schwangeren, Säuglingen und Kleinkindern. Beachten Sie auch die Hinweise im Sicherheitsdatenblatt

Application and warning notes, side effects
Some of the compounds of essential lavender oil Bulgarian are classified as hazardous to health. Limonene,
linalyl acetate and linaool have an allergenic potential. With excessive consumption of lavender products, a
pathological sleepiness (somnolence) might occur. Essential lavender oil Bulgarian is not suitable for internal
use in pregnant women, infants and young children. Also note the reference in the material safety data sheet and
the product specification.[2,4]

Linalool and natural products known to be rich in linalool
should only be used when the level of peroxides is kept to
the lowest practical level. It is recommended to add
antioxidants at the time of production of the raw material.
The addition of 0.1% BHT or alpha-tocopherol for example
has shown great efficiency. The maximum peroxide level for
products in use should be 20 mmol/l.
