Love is everywhere in Jesus' conversation with his friends at the Last Supper. He gives them and us his memorable commandment: "Love one another as I love you." It sounds simple. But he reminds us that loving as he does involves a willingness to "lay down one's life for one's friends." During Lent we saw this love of Jesus in action. Now during the Easter season we rejoice that such love is victorious over sin and death. 1.) How many times does Jesus use some form of the word "love" in this gospel reading? 1.) 2.) Why do you think he repeats it so often? 2.) 3.) In what ways does Jesus describe how he loves us? 3.) - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - - - cut here- - - - - -- - - - - - - - - Want to become a registered parishioner Already a registered parishioner, updating information NAME(S):_____________________________________________________ PHONE: ( Last Name First Name )___________________________ ADDRESS:___________________________________________________ EMAIL:______________________________________ Please return to: Church of the Epiphany 827 Vienna Street San Francisco, CA 94112 _____ would like Sunday Offering envelopes Epiphany Parish News Coming Up Soon: Flores de Mayo: Announcements: For Your Information: Happy Mother’s Day!: From the Blessed Mother Mary to Saint Monica, mothers have played an important role in the building of Christianity.
