Holocaust Memorial Service planned Nelladele Henke Aldrich Nelladele Henke Aldrich opened her eyes in Heaven on the morning of April 6, 2012. She was born in Michigan City, Indiana on February 22, 1929, to Harvey and Pearl Henke. Nell married Cleo Todd Aldrich, Jr. on August 12, 1949. During their 62 years of marriage, Nell and Cleo served as missionaries in Bolivia, SA and worked at Gull Lake Bible Conference in Michigan. Nell earned her degree in Christian Education at what is now Cornerstone University and then worked as a Preschool director and teacher. After retiring, Nell also had the privilege of teaching English in China for eight weeks. Nell was also instrumental in getting the SCC Observer delivered to the Community in Kings Point. An active member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, she enjoyed being involved in Bible studies and sharing her faith with whomever and wherever she could. Nell is survived by her husband, Cleo; sons, Gary (Judy), Geoff (Debra) and daughter, Gwen; “Adopted” children, Frank and Edith Blaszczak, seven grandchildren and eleven greatgrandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Rev. Wilbur Henke (June) and preceded in death by her sister, Mildred Henke Johnson. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 1239 Del Webb Blvd. West, Sun City Center, FL on Friday, April 13 at 1:00 PM. James T. Bortell James T. Bortell, 70, of Ruskin FL, passed away on March 23, 2012. He was born on July 2, 1941 in Knox, IN to Thornton J. and Lois G. (Teufert) Bortell, both deceased. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Betty S. Bortell; son Jacob T. Bortell of Lithia, FL; and stepdaughter, Gina Gonzalez of Baytown, TX; and 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Stepson Harry L. Humphrey. He was buried with his hunting dog Gus in Crownhill Cemetery, Knox, IN, on March 29, 2012. Bruno A. Ramella Bruno A. Ramella, 90, of Ruskin, Fla passed away April 6, 2012. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired as a cement mason and was a 50 year member of the Cement Masons Local # 526 in Pittsburgh, PA. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and V.F.W. Post # 7505 in Mars, PA. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Katherine; a daughter, Pamela Bowen; three sons, E. Gregory (Sarah) Ramella, Gary (Suzanne) Ramella and Stephen (Sunok) Ramella; a brother, Frank (Pari) Ramella,12 grandchildren,10 great grandchildren and 3 nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. with a wake service at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center, Fla. Williamson Thomas D. Williamson, 80, of Sun City Center passed away April 2, 2012. He was born in Niles, Ohio to George and Laura Williamson; graduated from McKinley High School and retired from Republic Steel in Warren, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rae Jean.Thomas had 9 brothers and 4 sisters. He is survived by 2 brothers and 2 sisters, many nieces, nephews and his dog, Truman. A celebration of his life took place Saturday, April 7, 2012. A community wide Yom Hashoa service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 19 to remember the victims of the Holocaust will take place at St. John the Divine Episcopal Church, 1015 Del Webb Blvd. East. The service will include prayers, memorial candle lighting, and survivor’s stories of the Holocaust. Songs representing the faith at the time of the Holocaust will be sung by a community choir led by Chuck Wirick. As a community participants will come together to remember what happened to the victims of Hitler, and to remember the heroes who did not live to tell their stories. The community is encouraged to attend. Ruskin Aglow to meet Ruskin Aglow will meet at 10 a.m. on Saturday April 21 at Palm Gardens 3850 Upper Creek Dr., Sun City Center. Dueling pianos recital at United Methodist Church The United Methodist Church of Sun City Center, 1210 Del Webb Blvd. West, is proud to present the Spring 2012 edition of Dueling Pianos: a Four and Eight-Hand Piano Recital on Sunday, April 15 at 3 p.m. in the church sanctuary. This program features eighthand (two players at two pianos) arrangements of the Triumphal March from Sigurd Jorsalfar by Edvard Grieg, works by Bach, Mozart, Clementi, and others plus popular tunes such as April in Paris and Tea for Two. EVERETT TATE, MINISTER Welcome to the: South Hillsborough Church of Christ Marion Mariece Hoefgen Marion Mariece Hoefgen, Sun City Center, Florida, formerly of Springfield, Missouri, with a deep religious conviction, passed away on March 22, 2012. She was born on February 11, 1918 in Osage, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by Nelson G. Hoefgen, her husband of 54 years, her mother and father, Edna and Clyde Stanley, as well as her twin brother, Charles M. Stanley. Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca S. Bodden of Ruskin, Florida; a son, Samuel R. Hoefgen of Eureka, Missouri; three grandsons; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation and services were held at National Cremation and Burial Society ( the former Lewer Funeral Home) in Ruskin, Florida on Monday, March 26.
