Welcome to the second annual Pacific Invitational all Breeds Female Sale. Again this
year we are offering the opportunity for the purebred breeders of BC to showcase their
female breeding stock. This event is meant to showcase the best we have to offer. This
year we have added a Jackpot heifer show to make this more of an event rather than
just another sale. I look forward to seeing you on sale day.
Jack Brown
Chairman, Pacific Invitational all Breeds Female Sale
On behalf of the City of Williams Lake I would like to welcome you to our community
and to the Pacific Invitational All Breeds Female Sale.
You will find the Williams Lake Stockyards to be a fantastic facility, and the people
you meet there and everywhere in our city to be friendly and welcoming. In addition,
there is plenty for you to enjoy, including our biking and hiking trails, beautiful Scout
Island, the Museum of the Cariboo Chilcotin, and much more. Williams Lake is truly a
grand place to visit.
Ranching plays a vital role in our city and our region. Local ranchers not only
contribute to our economic wellbeing, they are volunteers and community leaders,
and on behalf of council, I want to express my appreciation for all that they do.
I thank everyone involved with the organization of this sale, and wish all the best to
every participant.
Mayor Kerry Cook
I am very honoured once again to be part of the 2nd Annual Pacific Invitational
Female Sale. I look forward to the quality this Premier Sale will showcase and am
excited with the addition of a show prior to the sale! “ Hat’s Off” to all the committee
members who have worked so hard behind the scenes to ensure this sale’s success.
I am very optimistic when I look at where our industry is headed, pricing levels and
demand looks strong. A big hearty ‘WELCOME’ to perspective buyers and breeders!
Thank You for your support..... “Let’s Have a Sale!!”

OF FORT ST. JAMES, B.C.
CTF Blackcap Predominant 86Z
A big Thank You to Lynne, Harry & the boys for their generous gift of the Donation Heifer.
CTF Blackcap Predominant 86Z will be a great addition to any purebred herd.
This heifer will be at the Pacific Invitational All Breeds Female Sale in Williams Lake,
September 28, 2012. The Winner will be announced after the sale on Saturday,
September 29, 2012.
For more information or to purchase tickets contact – Jill Savage – 250-546-2813
Welcome back to the second annual Pacific Invitational All Breeds Female Sale. Due to circumstances
beyond our control, our only offering this year is the donation heifer for the annual BC Angus Association
fund raiser. After undertaking a very thorough culling last year and then only ending up with 15% of our
2012 calf crop as heifers, we were very reluctant to part with any females this year and decided to keep all
of our bred heifers as well as the heifer calves. Check out our website at www.canyontreefarms.ca to see
the sire and the rest of the herd. We look forward to visiting with you at the sale.

This is a beautiful heifer with a great pedigree, tremendous

thrilled with our Predominant daughters and expect this

We are pleased to be a part of the 2nd annual Pacific Invitational All Breed Female Sale. We have
been raising black angus cattle since 1998 and our focus is on easy fleshing, moderate framed, no
fuss cattle. We also have a small herd of commercial cattle. We are consigning a heifer calf out of
our senior herd sire HF Comeback 264U a HF Kodiak son. This is our 3rd calf crop out of him and
his first daughters calved this spring. They have beautiful udders and are moderate in frame and
very feminine. They are raising awesome calves. The Kodiak sons have been very well received at
the Northern Alliance Bull Sales. We would like to thank previous buyers and supporters and look
forward to visiting with you on September 29th!!

1Z is right off the top of our 2012 heifer calves! I really love her dam-a
moderate framed, sweet fronted, great footed and great uddered Hobson cow.
She has raised two full brothers to 1Z who have been among our top sellers
at the Northern Alliance Bull Sale selling to Gary and Julie Blackwell and
Bill Klop. 1Z has a lot of natural muscle and depth. She will be in our
show string this fall. I have no doubt 1Z will be a productive, front pasture
cow in any herd!

Way back in 1988 we went to a cattle sale in Alberta and bought several Registered Red Angus
Yearling Heifers in calf...we’ve been hooked ever since. We have built our purebred herd from those
original heifers and feel we have some top quality stock in our pasture now.
We are located about fifteen miles west of Fraser Lake on highway 16, just turn onto Savory Road
at the 550 kl board, we are 8 km (or 5 miles) from the highway at the end of the power line. We
welcome visitors anytime and would be glad to show you around.
Drop in, the coffee pot is always on!

Harvest Angus started in 2003 with a few select foundation females. We now run 40 mother cows on
170 acres of land just west of Prince George, B.C. We strive to produce functional Angus cattle who
work for today’s cattleman. We select our cattle base on structural soundness, milking ability, easy
keeping, and fertility. We are excited to consign to the second annual Pacific Invitational All Breeds

The J.K. Cattle Company is a family based business nestled in the heart of Forest Grove, 29
kilometers east of 100 Mile House, BC. We are breeders of both Red Angus and Black Angus. We take
pride in giving each of our animals the hands on care and attention they need to excel. Our blood
lines on the sire side include “Branded Beef and Brylor Beef” out of Alberta, which produces beefy
calves with good confirmation, making them easy keepers with the natural muscling to do well out on
range or in the pasture..

Hello and welcome to the 2012 Pacific Invitational All Breed Female Sale. I am proud to offer two
select females at this year’s sale. The first is the daughter of a popular AI sire, and the second is
the daughter of a home bred bull whose calves I am very impressed with. I strive to produce sound,
productive cattle that work in a variety of environments, and I feel that these heifers will go out and
perform well. I look forward to discussing the cattle with you on sale day, and hope you have a
great rest of your summer.

17Z is a very feminine heifer with good length and a great
disposition. Her dam is a young first calf heifer that has done a very
good job on this calf, in July 17Z was just inches shorter than her
mother. She is sired by the popular AI sire Mytty in Focus who is
known for siring low birth weight calves that grow and perform well.
His females are known to have good udder structure and built in
calving ease. This heifer’s grand dam Erelite 5P, had picture perfect
feet and an excellent udder with small teats which she passed to her
daughter 26X, and I am sure this heifer will follow suit.

Burgess 18Z is a stylish, growthy heifer with good depth and
thickness. She has been a favorite in the pasture all summer, and will
be a member of our 2012 show pen. Wise Guy 10W, 18Z’s sire, is
a bull I bred and his calves are the best group of calves in the bunch
this year. They are consistently thick with good muscle shape, and
excellent dispositions. Wise Guy 10W’s dam is a picture perfect
Angus cow with excellent feet and a gorgeous udder. Burgess 18Z’s
dam, 11T, is a very productive cow whose calves always come to the
top of the pen at weaning time. She has 2 daughters retained in the
herd.

We have been raising Angus since 1995. Over the years we have used some top A.I. sires and have been
fortunate to have owned some exceptional walking bulls. Recently, Blast Hobson 15U has worked well for
us, producing quality bulls and heifers. Our red herd sire, Red Nine Mile Xample, has his first calf crop on
the ground and they are looking good. Temperament is one of our main priorities and our cattle are known
for their docility. We winter our bulls calves at home and sell them as yearlings by private treaty and
through local Bull Sales.

She is from an Alberda Traveler daughter who has consistantly
produced excellent calves. This heifer is long with a clean, feminine

Any of these Hobson 15U daughters should work well in most herds.

Nine Mile Ranch is located 9 miles west of Quesnel. The Sanford Family has been ranching at
9 Mile for 5 Generations; predominantly a commercial cow calf operation of Simm/Angus cross
females. In 2000 we purchased our first Purebred Red Angus followed a few years later with
Purebred Black Angus and have developed them along side our commercial females. We expect the
same performance from our Purebreds as we do our commercials with no exceptions!

We would like to welcome you to beautiful B.C.and the 2nd Pacific
Invitational All Breed Female Sale. We are very pleased to offer choice
of twin heifer calves from Hilow Euthalla 49k an elite cow with the
Canadian Angus Association. We are very excited about the future of
these heifers as they have been standouts from the day they were born.
Euthalla was purchased through the Hollbrook Dispersal in 2008 and
has never disappointed us. We chose Mytty in Focus to use on our
Black Angus herd for his high accuracy birth to yearling spread. His
calves come so easily, are wide based, square correct individuals with
added thickness. We hope you will enjoy one of these as much as we
will miss her.

We have been raising Angus since 1965 and have always strived to have low maintenance animals. Our
cows spend the summers in the bush pastures and are wintered on hay. We have been on a performance
system since 1969 when we bought a scale. Cattle are still sold by the pound. After all the years of selection
we feel our cattle are predictable and will go on to produce well for others. Our consignments are all sired
by HF Kodiak 132W. His offspring gave us the high average at the Northern Alliance bull sale this spring.

with one heifer calf from BBT Angus and one from Marbo Angus. These two herds are managed with
ours. These cow herds consist mainly of straight Canadian genetics. The cows range on about 20,000

breeding stock that stand up under any conditions.

We started out 30 some years ago raising cattle … purebred herefords. What a delight to see those little white
faces at birth, and they were great cattle! We fell in love with the Limousin breed though, during the ten years
our girls were in 4-H. Our girls always did well with their Limo, and Limo cross steers … and we decided
to include them in our small herd at home. We made our first purchase of a purebred Limousin heifer in
February of 1988 … and have raised them ever since. That makes 24 years … and we totally believe in them!
Quality, polled Limousin cattle … our passion!

Sable is sired by our performance bull, “Ivy’s Secret Service 17S” …

(Novartis “dam of the year” for 2009 and again for 2010). Our
girl has a lot of attributes … and we’re going to A.I. her to “CJSL

This bred heifer comes right from the top of our pen. She is one of the
only Windfall bred heifers we have and she’s a good one. She’s comes
from an excellent polled fullblood cow that we purchased from Top
Meadow Farms a few years ago, and she is following in her mother’s
maternal footsteps. She is long bodied and super quiet, this heifer has
the makings to be a foundation female.

Gelbviehs introduced to our Pritchard, BC commercial herd in 1998, impressed us with their ability to thrive on
the range, pigmented hooves/udders, gentle disposition, and maternal attributes. This year we ranked 6th among
the top 20 Canadian Gelbvieh owners and breeders of Dams of Merit and Dams of Distinction. Along with our
AI program and bull selection from the top ranking sires, our herd strategy is to maintain easy fleshing, moderate
framed, maintenance free seedstock. While maintaining calving ease, crossing with Gelbvieh adds flesh to the
hind-quarters, increases weaning weights and adds the hybrid vigour that feedlots want. The pictures of the
heifers were taken on June 15/12. Updated pictures are available upon request.

With the Davidson and Carlson genetics on the dam’s side and
Pancoast genetics on the sire’s side, this heifer has what it takes to
produce the best in the industry. She could possibly be your best brood
cow. Her dam produced a ‘first in class’ winner at Agribition in the
past, and the heifer later sold to Brittain Farms at the 2009 Wish List

Ellis Cattle Co. and the Dane Ranch are owned and operated by Clint Ellis and Cordy Cox, respectively. The
Dane Ranch is situated in Tatla Lake, BC where the couple runs close to 900 mother cows. The commercial herd
is primarily made up of Angus x, and Angus x Gelbvieh cows who are then mated to Black Angus, Gelbvieh, or
Gelbvieh Balancer bulls depending on the female. Clint and Cordy raise purebred Gelbvieh and Angus and
most recently have added Simmental to their purebred line up. The purebred herd is managed the same as the
commercial herd, all of the cow/calf pairs are turned out on range from June to October and must bring home a
big calf while being bred back for the following calving season. All of the ranch’s cattle are culled hard for udder
quality, soundness, fertility, productivity, and disposition. Clint and Cordy are firm believers in good genetics
and they can be found purchasing high selling genetics across Canada. The couple is very active in promoting
the cattle industry and can be found exhibiting and selling cattle across the country where they have been very
successful. They look forward to the future of the beef industry and would like to welcome you all to the 2012

of our best second calvers who sports a great udder and is sired by a
previous calf champion at Agribition, MWH Jigsaw 18J, a black
bull that left us many daughters in the herd. Zipper is sired by VV
What a Tizzy 63W the $8000 high selling bull in VV’s 2010 bull
sale. 63W is quickly leaving his mark on the Gelbvieh breed by siring sale toppers and show winners. In his first calf crop he sired the Grand
Champion Balancer Female at Farmfair 2011 who later went on to be the high selling heifer calf at the Wishlist Sale to Severtson Land &
Cattle for $5300.00. He sired both the Champion and Reserve Champion Gelbvieh Heifer calves at IPE in 2011 and another of his daughters
was selected out of her division into the final round of the Legends of the Fall All Breeds Futurity at Farmfair in 2011. COX Zipper 6Z is a

A Tizzy 63W. 63W was the high selling bull in the VV Farms bull
sale in 2010 for $8000 and sold to the Dane Ranch. He is sired by the
prolific JCGR Louie bull and out of the well known donor cow GCC
Sugar who was a Sweatheart Classic winner at Agribition. Dazzle’s
dam 20S was purchased as a heifer calf from Davidson Gelbvieh
in Ponteix, Saskatchewan and the Dazzle line is well known in the
Gelbvieh breed for producing excellent offspring. JLD Dazzle 20Z is a
sharp fronted calf that will add a lot of maternal value to your herd.

Throughout my 81 years, I have raised many breeds of commercial cattle. Over ten years ago, I introduced
Gelbvieh genetics into my large commercial herd and was very satisfied with their calving ease, docility, and
growth. Their maternal strengths and early maturing are a bonus to the commercial cattleman.
In 2007, I started raising my own purebred herd, working together with B & R Ranch to maintain a high standard
of genetics, through sire selection and AI. My objective is to produce great working cattle with eye appeal and the
ever important fertility and growth. By raising quality Gelbvieh seedstock, I can contribute great benefits to the
cattle industry. The pictures were taken June 15/12. Updated pictures are available upon request.

Welcome to the 2nd annual Pacific Invitational All Breed Female Sale. KRS Simmentals is happy to consign one
of the best of the 2012 calf crop again this year. KRS has been raising purebred Simmentals for over 14 years,
along with our Simmentals, we run a large commercial cow/calf operation. We strive to maintain a set of hard
working females that are able to withstand the range conditions of our area. Our type of cattle are moderate
framed, easy fleshing and highly maternal. We market bulls around BC every year and would like to thank
Clint Ellis of Ellis Cattle Co for purchasing our first female consignment from last year’s sale - KRSS Blk Lace.
Looking forward to seeing you all at the sale.

KRS Simmentals is offering a onetime only chance to obtain a
heifer from our cornerstone female NLC K7353 Kelsa. Kelsa was
the pick of the herd from Nelson Livestock Co, she was consigned
and purchased in 2001 from Leachman Cattle Co out of Montana.
She has become a foundation for our breeding program and we have
retained every daughter until now. Kelsa and her offspring are the
easiest fleshing animals that we own without question. Her outcross
genetics also make her an easy match for many popular AI sires.
Her son KRSS Red Dream was a successful herd sire for Mitchell
Cattle Co and Bernese Ranch of Barriere BC. Her Dynamite Blk
Son KRSS Ace of Spades was used extensively in our commercial
and purebred herds. This lot, KRSS Mesmerize, has been a standout
for us and combines growth and performance in a useful moderate
package. We used her sire, Wheatland Red Ace throughout our herd
and she is easily our best.
Welcome to the 2nd PIABF Sale. Miocene Simmentals started in 1986, is owned and operated by Rob Starr in
conjunction with Miocene Ranch which is the family owned ranch he owns with is parents, Harold and Pat.
The Simmental herd consists of Fleckvieh influenced red, polled purebreds. From the beginning focus has been
on calving ease, fertility and the belief that a cow needs to wean a calf every year, be structurally sound and
functional, with minimal of human interventions. That said, my herd has developed to where it is today. I raise 5
or 6 bulls a year which sell privately or at the Williams Lake bull sale.

Hi I’m Lorne Webster and with my sons Jared, Joel, Jace and daughter Chelsea operate Webster Simmentals.
I recorded my first Simmental in 1970 so have seen a lot of changes in the industry from Fullbloods to Polled
Fullbloods and now to blacks and reds. Our “New” Simmentals are much easier calving, smaller framed, easier
fleshing strain than those first imports. At Webster Simmentals we concentrate on feminine looking females with
sound feet and legs and good udders. We use AI sires that will compliment our females and add to their complete
makeup . If you have any questions please contact me at 604 308-9943 or e-mail [email protected]

13Z is a Red Caesar granddaughter out of a very feminine young
cow. She goes back to the Zima cow and has a little Fleck in her
background.
Cutting Edge Cattle consist of 125 Commercial Angus/ Simmental cows which we breed to Maine Bulls. We
have sold many calves that have went to be provincial and PNE champions. Our calves are thick, hairy, and
easy to feed. We recently leased a small herd of 50 purebred Angus cows from Prime Time Cattle Company,
so look for females in future female sale and 2 year old bulls in the bull sale in March. Give us a call or stop
by for coffee, we have lots of good prospects for sale, private treaty as well.

Born: March 21, 2012

DAM: Angus-Simmental- Limo
Here is a calf that is thick, hairy and long bodied. There is a touch of
limo in his mother which gives him that hip shape you want in a fat
steer.

This calf has that big Maine hip and big top. He has a little more
shoulder to him but he is a tank!

If you are a young 4-Her or 1st time 4-Her you will love this calf. We
leased his mother to a young 4-H girl who has shown him all summer.
He is dog gentle, tons of eye appeal and will be easy to feed.
