SINOPSIS
Tot vandag toe, lok die naam Glenda Kemp gemengde
reaksie uit. As ‘n ikoniese ontkleedanseres, geteister
met beide berugtheid en publieke nuuskierigheid, het
Glenda dit reggekry om ‘n uiters konserwatiewe regime
uit te daag. Dit in ‘n tyd van sensuur en geweldige
onderdrukking van die vrou.
Bladsy 3 ondersoek die impak van Glenda se bestaan
op ander individue asook op die regering. Deur
verskeie karakters se oë word ‘n reis deur haar lewe
onderneem......
Haar storie speel af van die 1970’s tot die
hede, waar die bedreiging van sensuur en
die onderdrukking van vryheid van spraak dit
skielik weer van toepassing gemaak het.
Met gedramatiseerde beeldmateriaal en
nuwe onderhoude wat vir die eerste
keer te sien is, word Glenda Kemp in
hierdie produksie ontbloot soos nooit

AKTRISE
Elma Postma het bekend geword as Dezi van 7de
Laan op SABC2. Daarna was sy aanbieder van
Ontbytsake en Boer Soek ‘n Vrou, reeks 1, 2,
en 3, en is tans in Binneland te sien as Bea
Basson.
Sy was ook te sien in Kruispad (kykNET) en The
Mating Game (SABC2) in 2010.
Behalwe televisie het Elma ook ‘n passie vir die
teater en het al gespeel in verskeie produksies
op Kunstefeeste onder andere Hartsondes,
onder regie van Henry Mylne, Haaks en
Monsters, saam met Chris Voster, onder
leiding van Pierre van Pletzen, Hel-opHemel-en-Aarde onder leiding van Vicky
Davis en Vaselinetjie, ook onder regie
van Henry Mylne. Sy doen ook gereeld
radio-dramas en advertensies.

AUCAMP
ACTOR
Armand is an actor and producer working
out of Cape Town and Johannesburg. He
graduated from City Varsity School of Media and
Creative Arts in 2009 with distinction. Since then
he has worked in TV, film, theatre and radio both
as an actor and producer. He produced and played
the lead in Walking Every Day, a South African feature
film due for release in 2014.
His most recent performance credits include playing the title
character in 2013 Maynardville’s Cardenio, appearing in the
multi-award winning production Huistoe directed by Henry Mylne
(Harold Pinter’s The Homecoming) and travelling to Dublin with Mary
and the Conqueror. He has a string of local and international TV and
Film credits of which include ‘Mandela: Long Road to Freedom, 21st
Centuary Fox’s Chronicle and BBC’s, Mankind.
He is soon to be seen in kykNET’s lastest drama/musical series, Sterlopers
and Koos Roets and P.G. du Plessis’s latest venture, Pandjieswinkel Stories
alongside Deon Lotz and Elize Cawood. He will soon be travelling to Canada
to wrap production of Book of Negros, a six part mini-series based on the
international best seller of the same title, alongside Aunjanue Ellis and Cuba
Gooding Jnr. He has also recently started production on Die Ontwaking, a film
adaptation of Chris Karsten’s thiller novel, Abel se Ontwaking.

Vicky Davis het bekend geword as aktrise in
reekse soos Backstage (eTV), Known Gods
(MNET) en 7de laan (SABC2) en later as aanbieder
van leefstyl program Pasella op SABC 2. Daarna
was sy ook te sien in verskeie reekse soos League
of Glory (SABC3), Vloeksteen, Boland Moorde en
meer onlangs in Die Byl (kykNET). As teateraktrise
verwerf sy ‘n Fleur de Cap as mees belowende
dramastudent (2004) en n Fiësta nominasie as beste
byspeler in Ingrid Winterback se Spyt (2011).
Gedurende haar tyd by Pasella het sy ook as insetsel regisseur
en inhoudsvervaardiger opgetree en is tans insetselvervaardiger
by Expresso oggendprogram en Doctors Orders mediese
joernaalprogram (SABC3) waar sy ook n veldaanbieder is. Sy
is ook teaterregisseur en verwerf n Fiësta nominasie vir haar
ruimtelike teaterstuk Hel op Hemel-en-Aarde vir beste nuutgeskepte
toneelstuk.
As skrywer werk Vicky ook as vryskut fiksie, teks- en draaiboekskrywer
en publiseer in 2013 haar eerste kinderboek “A is vir Appel” met NB
Uitgewers wat die ABSA en ECD raad se toekenning as beste publikasie
van die jaar vir opvoedkundige kinderliteratuur verwerf.
Vicky het n meestersgraad in Opvoedkundige Drama (cum laude aand) aan
die Universiteit Stellenbosch.

PRODUCER
I was born human, but grew up wanting to be an entertainer. With great support from
parents and friends, I started performing in the small towns of Gansbaai and Caledon,
where I also attended Overberg High School. This then lead me to a degree in Drama
at the University of Stellenbosch at the end of 2009.
During my studies I was privileged enough to work with the multi talented Marthinus Basson and
landed the role of Bobby in the Kander & Ebb Musical cabaret directed by him. This experience
got me thinking on the process on how does a show get put together? Thus, planting the seed
of becoming a Producer.
At the end of 2009 the BBC came knocking and I was cast in a small supporting lead as Dengler
in the two part German submarine World War 2 film, The Sinking Of The Laconia. Acting
alongside names such as Lindsay Duncan, Brian Cox, Andrew Buchan and Ken Duken.
In 2010 I left my trailer for the Artscape Theatre stage in Cape Town and appeared in the classic
tale of Romeo & Juliet as Balthazar, directed by Roy Sargent.
Later that year, at the age of 23, I started my own management and production company, EPM
Projects and was privileged to sign on as the management team for one of my mentors and
heroes – Mr. SA 2007 and Pasella presenter, Dieter Voigt.
My producer-dream came true in 2011 when I debut my first production, Bye Ma, Jaypee, based
on the true story of Jaypee Malherbe at the KKNK. The production was directed and co-produced
by a woman that I am proud to now call my friend and mentor, Margit Meyer–Rodenbeck.
Productions that followed was Labirint with Illse Roos and Deon Lotz, the wonderfully inspiring
Kytie - ‘n Koos Kombuis-storie’ and the youth drama, Agtervolger.
I finally did become an entertainer, but still not sure if I became a grownup? What I am sure of, is
that you can go a long way in life with a dream, vision and people that support you. And for that,
this small town boy, will always be grateful.

In 2010, Tara was awarded the Fleur du Cap Rosalie van der Gucht Prize for New
Directors, and the Baxter Theatre/GIPCA/ Theatre Arts Admin Collective Emerging
Theatre Director’s Bursary. Added to this, her show ‘…miskien’, beat off stiff
competition for the 2010 Standard Bank Silver Ovation Award at the Grahamstown
National Arts Festival.
She was invited to the prestigious Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab in 2011 to spend
3 weeks working with some of the world’s leading young directors in New York City. While
there, the three shows she directed at the National Arts Festival were much-lauded: ‘Mafeking
Road’ was awarded a Standard Bank Silver Ovation Award for Physical Theatre – the only in its
category – and ‘Dream, Brother ‘was awarded the Silver Award for Theatre – again, the only in
its category.
2012 proved as successful as it was prolific, including directing 6 shows at NAF. Among these
were ‘Lord Hamlet’, which received an Ovation Award, the return of ‘...miskien’ and ‘Mafeking
Road’ as well as the NAF hit ‘The Three Little Pigs’ which picked up invitations to travel to Perth,
New York and Amsterdam in 2013. ‘...miskien’ was also invited to travel to New York in 2013.
‘Mafeking Road’ enjoyed a sell-out run at Kalk Bay Theatre and she directed the premiere of
Albert Pretorius’s ‘Nagwond’ at Aardklop (which then went on to travel to the Absa KKNK in
2013).
In 2013 ‘The Three Little Pigs’ travels to ten national and international festivals. The production
won ‘Best Theatre Production’ at the US-Woordfees, travelled to the KKNK, NAF, Vryfees and
then went to Edinburgh as part of the Assembly’s South African Season. After multiple 5-star
reviews, the show went on to the Amsterdam Fringe, where it won the ‘Silver Award for Best
International Production’. Amsterdam was very busy for Tara, as her production of ‘Thom Pain
(based on nothing)’ as well as Stuart Lightbody’s Illusive were also presented – both recent
winners of Standard Bank Ovation Awards at the NAF. This meant that all three productions
from South Africa were directed by her. ‘The Three Little Pigs. then went to the Aardklop Festival
where it was nominated for Best Production, and Tara was nominated for Best Director.
She has since been nominated two Fleur du Cap awards; one for Best New South African
Script, with her co-writers van Vuuren, Cairns and Pretorius for The Three Little Pigs, and the
other for Best Director, also for The Three Little Pigs.
When she is not busy producing and directing her own shows, she works as a freelance
production manager and administrator. Companies that she has worked for include From the
Hip: Khulumakahle (FTH:K), Mike van Graan, and theatres in Cape Town, including the Baxter
Theatre, Artscape, and Kalk Bay Theatre.
She has served on the board for various organisations, which include FTH:K and The Theatre
Club of Cape Town. She also worked as the Project Manager for the annual Shakespeare
season at Maynardville Open-Air Theatre from 2008 and 2013.

om op ‘n sosiaal-onaanvaarbare wyse die land se
rigiede denkwyse uit te daag. Sy was Glenda Kemp.
Suid-Afrika se eerste ontkleedanseres, wat ikoniese
