with aquatic wheelchairs
In July Fuerteventura’s Cabildo provided the island’s
Ayuntamientos and the Island’s Disabled Residence
with aquatic wheelchairs for people with reduced
mobility.
The event took place on the beach of Los Pozos in
Puerto el Rosario (known as Playa Chica) with the
participation of the Cabildo’s President, Mario Cabrera and the mayors and Social Affairs councillors of the
Island’s Ayuntamientos.

mes de julio a los ayuntamientos de la Isla y a la Residencia Insular de Discapacitados, de una partida de
sillas acuáticas para personas con movilidad reducida.
El acto tuvo lugar en la Playa de Los Pozos de Puer-
to del Rosario (conocida como Playa Chica), contando
con la presencia del Presidente del Cabildo, Mario
Cabrera y los alcaldes o concejales de Asuntos Sociales de los ayuntamientos majoreros.

Behinderte Wasserrollstühle für Personen mit
eingeschränkter Mobilität übergeben.
Der Akt fand am Strand Playa de Los Pozos in Puerto del Rosario (als Playa Chica bekannt) statt, dabei
waren der Präsident des Cabildo, Mario Cabrera, und
die Bürgermeister und Beauftragten für Soziales der
Gemeinden von Fuerteventura anwesend.

EasyJet habilita cinco nuevos vuelos con el
Reino Unido

El Patronato de Turismo de Fuerteventura ha confirmado con la aerolínea de bajo coste EasyJet, la puesta en marcha de dos nuevas conexiones aéreas entre
la Isla y el Reino Unido, que comenzarán a funcionar
el próximo mes de noviembre con cinco vuelos semanales, tres con la ciudad de Liverpool y dos con Londres (aeropuerto de Stansted).
Según los cálculos del órgano de promoción insular,
el funcionamiento de estos cinco vuelos semanales durante toda la temporada de invierno supone un incremento en la oferta de más de 22.000 plazas aéreas.
Los billetes correspondientes a estos vuelos se encuentran ya a la venta en la página web oficial de easyJet.

Fuerteventura’s Tourism Council and the low cost
airline Easyjet have confirmed the creation of two new
connections between the Island and Great Britain
which are due to start from November onwards with
five weekly flights, of which three are with Liverpool
and two with London Stanstead.
According to calculation of the Tourism Council, those
five weekly flights during the whole winter should
represent an increase of over 22.000 seats. Tickets
can be purchased on Easyjet’s website.

Das Patronat für Tourismus von Fuerteventura hat
gemeinsam mit der Billigfluggesellschaft EasyJet
bestätigt, dass es ab November zwei neue
Verbindungen zwischen der Insel und dem Vereinigten
Königreich geben wird. Es wird fünf Flüge pro Woche
geben, drei nach Liverpool und zwei nach London
(Flughafen Stansted).
Nach den Rechnungen des Organs für die Promotion
der Insel wird durch diese fünf neuen Flüge pro Woche
in der ganzen Wintersaison das Angebot an Flügen um
mehr als 22.000 erhöht. Die Tickets für diese Flüge
werden schon auf der offiziellen Website von EasyJet
verkauft.

Llega el primer vuelo del turoperador
danés Apollo/Kuoni

El Aeropuerto de Fuerteventura recibió, a primeros
del pasado mes, a los pasajeros del primer vuelo del
turoperador Apollo/Kuoni que conectará Fuerteventura y Copenhague durante la temporada de verano.
La puesta en marcha de esta conexión es fruto del
acuerdo alcanzando por el Patronato de Turismo con
Apollo/Kuoni para promocionar Fuerteventura en los
países escandinavos durante la temporada de verano.
Hasta ahora las conexiones existentes se limitaban únicamente a la temporada de invierno. Apollo/Kuoni tiene
previsto mantener esta conexión semanal hasta el mes
de noviembre, momento en el que se ampliarán los enlaces al entrar en servicio la programación de invierno.

Early July, Fuerteventura’s airport welcomed
passengers from the first flight of the tour operator
Apollo/Kuoni that connects Fuerteventura and
Copenhagen during the summer season.
This new connection is the fruit of the agreement
that was reached between the Tourism Council and
Apollo/Kuoni to promote Fuerteventura in
Scandinavian countries during the summer season.
Until now the existing connections were limited to the
winter season. Apollo/Kuoni aim to maintain this
weekly connection until November when the frequency
will then be increased for the winter programme.

Die Passagiere des ersten Fluges des Reiseveranstalters Apollo/Kuoni, der Fuerteventura in der Sommersaison
mit Kopenhagen verbinden wird, kamen im vergangenen Monat am Flughafen von Fuerteventura an.
Diese Verbindung entstand durch ein Abkommen zwischen dem Patronat für Tourismus und Apollo/Kuoni
um für Fuerteventura im Sommer in den skandinavischen Ländern zu werben. Bis jetzt gab es diese Verbindungen
nur in der Wintersaison. Apollo/Kuoni sieht vor, diese Verbindungen bis November zwei Mal in der Woche
beizubehalten. Ab diesem Zeitpunkt wird es mehr Flüge geben, da dann das Winterprogramm beginnt.

Monarch Airlines comenzará a operar en
Fuerteventura el próximo mes de octubre
El Cabildo de Fuerteventura, a través del Patronato de
Turismo, organizó el encuentro que tuvo lugar, el pasado
mes de julio, entre los responsables de la compañía aérea de bajo coste Monarch y los empresarios e instituciones locales de la Isla, con la finalidad de buscar fórmulas
de colaboración que permitan comercializar las 22.000
nuevas plazas aéreas que oferta la aerolínea a partir del
21 de octubre y durante toda la próxima temporada de
invierno, entre la Isla y cuatro ciudades británicas.
El presidente del Cabildo, Mario Cabrera, el alcalde de
Antigua, Gustavo Berriel, el presidente de la AEHTF, Antonio Hormiga, y representantes de diversas empresas turísticas de Fuerteventura, se encontraban en el salón de
plenos de la Corporación con Hugh Morgan, director de
compras y de operaciones de Monarch, y representantes
del touroperador británico Cosmos, adscrito a la aerolínea.
Morgan anunció la intención de la compañía británica
de permanecer en la Isla durante las próximas temporadas turísticas. Las plazas aéreas por la aerolínea de bajo
coste, que opera principalmente desde sus portales en

majorero a seguir este camino y «aprovechar las facilidades que ofrece esta aerolínea para los establecimientos hoteleros interesados en darse a conocer en
sus circuitos promocionales, porque la venta de estas
nuevas plazas aéreas será tan beneficios para la compañía como para las empresas radicadas en la Isla».

conectarán el aeropuerto insular de El Matorral con
los de Londres-Gatwick, Londres Luton, Manchester y
Birmingham. Todos ellos tendrán una frecuencia semanal y una capacidad de 214 pasajeros cada uno,
volando a la Isla todos los miércoles de la próxima

Antonio Hormiga, and representatives of various
tourism businesses of Fuerteventura, met in the
Corporation’s congress centre with Hugh Morgan, the
director of purchases and operations of Monarch and
representatives of Cosmos, the British tour operator
appointed to the airline.
M. Morgan announced the airline’s intention to keep
flying to the island for the next few tourist seasons.
The seats available on the low cost airline that operates
mainly from its website are already for sale from 56
euros each way (plus taxes), «but now we need the
collaboration of the Island’s businesses in order to
market the new routes and look for accommodation
for tourists who will fly with us» Mr. Morgan added.
Mario Cabrera, then added that the Cabildo
collaborates in the promotional strategy of the
company through the signature of an agreement
designed to promote Fuerteventura on the British
market. The President urged Majorero businesses to
follow this path and «take advantage of the facilities
that the airline is offering for hotels interested to be
known on promotional circuits given that the sale of
new airline tickets is as beneficial to the company as
it is for the Island’s businesses».
Monarch Airlines will be operational with four weekly
flights connecting Fuerteventura with London Gatwick,
London Luton, Manchester and Birmingham,
accommodating 214 passengers and will fly on
Wednesdays for the winter season starting on 21st
October.

Morgan kündigte an, dass das britische Unternehmen

Mario Cabrera nahm seinerseits vorweg, dass der
Cabildo die Werbestrategie des Unternehmens durch
die Unterzeichnung eines Abkommens unterstützt,
durch das auf dem britischen Tourismusmarkt für Fuerteventura geworben werden soll. Der Inselpräsident
ermutigte die Unternehmer aus Fuerteventura, diesem
Beispiel zu folgen und „die Vorteile zu nutzen, die dieses Unternehmen denjenigen Hotels bietet, die daran
interessiert sind, diese Promotion zu nutzen, um
bekannter zu werden, so dass der Verkauf dieser
Flugtickets sowohl für die Fluggesellschaft als auch
für die Unternehmer der Insel nützlich sein wird».

La Bandera Azul ondea en la playa de Gran

La bandera azul otorgada recientemente por ADEAC
(Asociación de Educación Ambiental y del Consumidor) ya ondea la Playa de Gran Tarajal. Con esta es la
octava vez que esta playa sureña consigue este galardón, según el alcalde Salvador Delgado «esto es un
reconocimiento a la labor municipal y a la continuidad
en nuestra lucha por mantener una constante en el
cuidado de nuestras playas, hay que decir que hemos
consolidado las instalaciones de la playa colocando
nuevas torres de vigilancia, duchas, sillas adaptadas
para personas de movilidad reducida, baños, papeleras o sombrilla con una subvención del Gobierno de
Canarias. Estamos trabajando para que las Playas de
Las Playitas y Tarajalejo consigan este galardón y acabar la legislatura con tres playas en las que ondee
este símbolo de calidad».
The Blue Flag flies once
again on Gran Tarajal’s

The Blue Flag recently awarded by ADEAC
(Association for the Environment and Consumer’s
Education) already flies on the beach of Gran Tarajal.
This is the eighth time that this southern beach gets
this award, according to the mayor Salvador Delgado
«this is the recognition of the Municipality’s work and
continuity in our efforts to constantly take care of our
beaches. In fact we have been improving our beaches’
facilities by installing new watch towers, showers,
special chairs adapted for disables people, toilets, bins
and umbrellas thanks to a subvention from the
Canarian Government. We are carrying out work in
order to get the beaches of Las Playitas and Tarajalejo
to be awarded the Blue Flag and end our term with
this symbol of quality on three of our beaches».

Umwelterziehung und Verbrauch) übergebene blaue
Fahne weht schon am Strand von Gran Tarajal. Es ist
das achte Mal, dass dieser Strand des Südens diese
Auszeichnung erhält. Nach Angaben des
Bürgermeisters Salvador Delgado ist «dies eine
Anerkennung für die Arbeit der Gemeinde und für
unseren ständigen Kampf, damit unsere Strände
ständig gepflegt werden. Es muss gesagt werden, dass
wir die Einrichtungen am Strand sehr verbessert
haben, indem wir mit einer Subvention der Regierung
der Kanaren neue Wachtürme, Duschen, angepasste
Stühle für Behinderte, Bäder, Papierkörbe und
Mülleimer aufgestellt haben. Wir arbeiten zurzeit
daran, dass die Strände von Las Playitas und Tarajalejo
diese Auszeichnung bekommen, und möchten, dass
diese Symbol für Qualität am Ende der
Legislaturperiode an drei Stränden weht».

«Fuerteventura en Música» se despidió del
público canario

El gancho de Chambao permitió que alrededor de
12.000 personas se dieran cita el pasado mes de julio en la Playa de La Concha, en El Cotillo (La Oliva),
para asistir al festival Fuerteventura en Música. La
velada transcurrió en una noche en la que el descenso del viento, que fue amainando durante todo el día,
permitió al público disfrutar de los últimos conciertos
programados.
Los rumanos Fanfare Ciocarlia aparecieron nuevamente para cerrar el festival, y se entregaron plenamente a un público que no abandonó su espacio hasta que lo hizo esta gran orquesta. Los locales Jazz
Homos pusieron el toque autóctono de la fiesta, mientras que Fuel Fandango fue la sorpresa agradable y
bailable de la noche. Dj MPS Pilot siguió en la misma
línea de la jornada anterior: buena música en grandes dosis para los cambios de grupo.
Liderados por La Mari, y acompañados en varios
momentos por algunos componentes de Fuel Fandango, Chambao ofreció en Fuerteventura en Música un
espectáculo cálido, fiel a su estilo, sencillo y enérgico
a un tiempo. El grupo se soltó en el escenario, y su
famoso y particular flamenco chill se paseó e hizo flotar al respetable sobre la arena de la playa.
El talento instrumental de Jazz Homos trasladó a
los espectadores al auténtico sonido de Nueva Orleáns
en la primera actuación de la noche. Cuatro músicos
de diferentes orígenes (un majorero, un conejero, un
maño y una andaluza) y tres estilos diferentes (folclore, funk y clásico), dan como resultado el peculiar jazz
con tintes canarios de este original conjunto.
La actuación de Fuel Fandango animó a los asistentes moverse. Sobre el escenario estuvo la música orgánica con tintes rock, funk y flamenco de este dúo
que forman Ale Acosta y Nita. Frente a él, mucha gente bailando la propuesta del ex de Mojo Project, y disfrutando de la voz de su alter ego, el flamenco que
fluye del alma y la música negra de la garganta de
Nita.
Para cerrar, el huracán de viento y metal de Fanfare
Ciocarlia. La actuación de la orquesta fue una portentosa propuesta musical, difícil de creer de una típica
orquesta rumana surgida en su totalidad de un pueblo de 400 habitantes. La actuación de la fanfarria
fue una fiesta gitana en estado puro, que demostró
con holgura por qué este sencillo grupo de veteranos
músicos ha sido merecedor del premio en la categoría europea de los World Music Awards.

Los Rumanians Fanfare Ciocarlia closed the festival
and gave their best to the public that did not leave
until this great orchestra left themselves. The locals
Jazz Homos brought a local touch to the party while
Fuel Fandango was a lovely surprise and inspired
dancers for the night. Dj MPS Pilot followed the same
line as during the previous day with a lot of good music
between group swaps.
Liderados por La Mari that were backed up at times
by artists from Fuel Fandango and Chambao, gave a
quality performance for Fuerteventura en Música, true
to their style, simple and energetic. This group came
on stage and their famous and peculiar flamenco chill
gave an amazing performance for the audience on the
beach.
The musical talent of Jazz Homos took the spectators
to the authentic sound of New Orleans during the first
act of the night. Four musicians of different origins
(one from Fuerteventura, one from Lanzarote, one from
menco that flows from the soul and the black music
from the throat of Nita.
The closing act came with the hurricane of wind and
metal of Fanfare Ciocarlia. The orchestra’s performance was a prodigious musical act and made it hard to
believe that this typical Rumanian orchestra came in
its totality from a village of 400 habitants. The performance was of pure gypsy style, demonstrating easily
why this simple group of veteran musicians deserved
the prize in the European category of the World Music
Awards.

Chambao ermöglichte es, dass sich im Juli ungefähr
12.000 Menschen am Strand von La Concha, in El Cotillo

statt. Obwohl es ein windiger Tag gewesen war, ging der
Wind zurück, was es dem Publikum ermöglichte, die

Die Rumänen Fanfare Ciocarlia schlossen auch dieses Jahr das Festival ab und gaben sich ganz und gar
dem Publikum hin, das nicht aufstand, bis das große
Orchester die Bühne verließ. Die einheimische Gruppe
Jazz Homos verlieh dem Fest ein autochthones Flair,
während Fuel Fandango, zu deren Musik man tanzen
konnte, die angenehme Überraschung der Nacht war.
MPS Pilot machte weiter wie am Tag davor: Viel gute
Musik zwischen den Auftritten.
Chambao mit La Mari bot auf Fuerteventura eine
leidenschaftliche Aufführung, an der einige Mitglieder
von Fuel Fandango teilnahmen. Die Gruppe, die ihrem
einfachen und gleichzeitig Energie geladenen Stil treu
blieb, war auf der Bühne entspannt und ihr besonderer
Flamenco Chill belebte den Strand.
Das musikalische Talent von Jazz Homos brachte den
Zuschauern bei dem ersten Auftritt des Abends den
authentischen Sound von New Orleans näher. Vier Musiker
unterschiedlicher Herkunft (einer aus Fuerteventura, ein
Zechpreller, ein Aragonier und eine Andalusierin) und drei
verschiedene Stile (Folklore, Funk und Klassik), bringen
den besonderen kanarischen Jazz dieser Gruppe hervor.
Die Aufführung von Fuel Fandango brachte die
Anwesenden zum Tanzen. Auf der Bühne bot das Duo,
das aus Ale Acosta und Nita besteht, organische Musik,
mit Einflüssen von Rock, Funk und Flamenco. Viele
Leute tanzten zu der Musik des ehemaligen Mitglieds
von Mojo Projects und genossen dazu die Stimme
seines alter ego: Der Flamenco fließt aus der Seele
und aus der schwarzen Musik der Stimme von Nita.
Zum Schluss kam der Hurrikan aus Wind und Metall
von Fanfare Ciocarlia. Der Auftritt des Orchesters war
das außergewöhnlichste musikalische Angebot. E ist
schwer zu glauben, dass man ein vollständiges
typisches rumänisches Orchester in einem Dorf mit 400
Einwohnern antrifft. Der Auftritt der Fanfarria war ein

La isla vuelve a estar conectada
con Irlanda

Fuerteventura volverá a estar conectada con Irlanda mediante un nuevo vuelo semanal directo que comenzará a volar a partir del próximo 24 de octubre
entre la Isla y Dublín, fletado por la compañía irlandesa Aer Lingus.
Aer Lingus, el Cabildo y representantes empresariales de la Isla asistieron a la rueda de prensa celebrada en la Corporación Insular para dar a conocer
los pormenores de una ruta «destinada a ser un éxito», afirmó la aerolínea, que dio a conocer los datos
de plazas aéreas contratadas hasta el momento para
el primer mes de funcionamiento de la ruta, «que se
sitúan en el 40% a estas alturas, cifras que auguran
un nivel de ocupación final por encima del 90%».
Esta ruta directa semanal, que funcionará todos los
sábados a partir del próximo 24 de octubre, contará
para este vuelo con un Airbus 320 con capacidad para
174 pasajeros equipado con asientos de cuero y mucho espacio para todas las plazas. Las tarifas del vuelo
Fuerteventura-Dublín salen a la venta a un precio de
74,99 euros por trayecto, más tasas.
Aer Lingus se refirió a la expansión de la compañía,
que «aportará turismo y nuevos y esperados negocios
a Fuerteventura y las Islas Canarias, destinos que continúan siendo enormemente populares para los turistas irlandeses y británicos. Cada vez más clientes se
benefician de las tarifas baratas de Aer Lingus, de sus
cómodos vuelos regulares y de su calidad superior».
La expansión de Aer Lingus en Canarias permitirá
pasar, según informaron, de 250.000 turistas anuales a 345.000 el año próximo.

Fuerteventura will be connected again with Ireland with
a weekly direct flight that will start on 24th October between
Dublin and the Island with the Irish airline Aer Lingus.
Aer Lingus, the Cabildo and business representatives
from the Island took part in the news conference when
all the details were revealed of this route that is
destined to be a success. The airline informed the
audience of the current amount of seats already
booked for the first month «which is situated around
40% at present, figure that is expected to reach 90%».
This weekly direct flight will occur every Saturday from
24th October onwards on an Airbus 320, accommodating
174 passengers, with roomy leather seats. The flights
Fuerteventura-Dublin are for sale at 74,99 euros each
way plus taxes.

Einzelheiten über eine Strecke bekannt zu machen, die
nach Angaben der Fluggesellschaft „ein Erfolg werden
muss». Es wurden Angaben über den Verkauf der Tickets
für diese Strecke für den ersten Monat gegeben, „von
denen inzwischen 40% verkauft sind. Man kann hoffen,
dass am Ende mehr als 90% verkauft werden».
Dieser wöchentliche Direktflug, den es ab dem 24.
Oktober jeden geben wird, verfügt über einen Airbus
320 mit einer Kapazität für 174 Passagiere. In diesem
Flugzeug gibt es Ledersitze und genügend Platz für
alle. Die Tickets des Fluges Fuerteventura-Dublin
werden für 74,99 Euro pro Strecke verkauft. Dazu
kommen noch die Flughafengebühren.
Aer Lingus bezog sich auf die Erweiterung der
Fluggesellschaft, wodurch „Tourismus und neue erwartete
Geschäfte nach Fuerteventura und auf die kanarischen
Inseln gebracht werden. Diese Reiseziele sind weiterhin bei
Iren und Briten sehr beliebt. Immer mehr Kunden nutzen
die billigen Preise von Aer Lingus sowie die bequemen Flüge
und die höhere Qualität dieser Gesellschaft».
Es wurde erklärt, dass durch die Erweiterung von Aer
Lingus auf den Kanaren im nächsten Jahr statt den
250.000 jährlichen Touristen 345.000 kommen werden.

«Buscamos proyectos innovadores que favorezcan el desarrollo rural de Fuerteventura»
¿Qué es G. D. R. Maxorata?
Somos una asociación sin ánimo de lucro, creada
como grupo de Desarrollo Rural insular. Estamos designados tanto por Europa, como por el Gobierno
de Canarias y nuestra función principal está relacionada con la iniciativa LEADER, que cuenta con fondos
europeos y que actualmente forman parte del Eje 4
del P. D. R., (Programa de Desarrollo Rural), del Gobierno de Canarias.
Allí se establecen una serie de medidas
subvencionables a las que nosotros nos estamos acogiendo y estamos intentando buscar proyectos que se
amolden a estos requisitos.
¿Qué tipo de proyectos?
Buscamos proyectos innovadores que favorezcan el
desarrollo rural de Fuerteventura, que diversifiquen los
productos locales o aumenten la calidad de los ya existentes. La idea es potenciar las iniciativas, privadas o
de entidades públicas, subvencionando en cada caso
el tanto por ciento asignable a cada proyecto, siempre
que reúnan la puntuación adecuada.
¿Estos fondos son solamente para nuevos emprendedores e iniciativas privadas?
El 70 % de los proyectos LEADER debe realizarse en
iniciativas privadas y solo el 30 % puede invertirse en
entidades públicas. En estos casos son siempre para
rehabilitación de patrimonio histórico o patrimonio
natural, y también servicios sociales que aumenten
la calidad de vida en pequeños lugares rurales, como
comedores infantiles en colegios etc.
¿Cuándo comenzaron con las solicitudes?
La primera convocatoria se abrió el 10 marzo durante sesenta días, para hacer publica la cantidad de
221.000 euros y se calculan un máximo de seis meses para contestar los proyectos aceptados, aunque
nosotros no queremos esperar tanto.
¿Quién decide los merecedores de esta subvención?
La propia junta directiva, en Fuerteventura, es la que
elige aquellos proyectos que cumplen los parámetros
exigidos y que por puntuación e innovación merecen
ser subvencionados.
Se hace un examen técnico de viabilidad y una vez
valorado se publicará los proyectos admitidos. Posteriormente habrá un contrato por el cual nos comprometemos a ingresar lo acordado siempre comproban-

do que se ha realizado lo previsto en cada proyecto.
¿Quiénes forman la junta directiva que deberá
tomar estas decisiones?
Esta Asociación se ha creado con la participación
en la junta directiva de todos los ámbitos económicos
de la isla, de forma que conocen bien las necesidades de Fuerteventura en su medio rural.
Nuestra intención es dar una total transparencia a
las gestiones de adjudicación de las diferentes subvenciones a los distintos proyectos.
Nosotros hemos colgado una página en Internet
(www.gdrmaxorata.org), donde se explican con detalle
nuestros estatutos y las formalidades necesarias para
quienes quieren optar y en que medida va a ser
puntuable cada proyecto.
Además ayudamos a confeccionar las solicitudes y
a presentar todos los papeles y requisitos que sean
necesarios a las personas que lo requieran. La idea
es que no se sientan imposibilitados por falta de medios técnicos a presentar sus proyectos.
¿Es la única finalidad de esta asociación la
financiación LEADER?
No, tenemos otros tipos de iniciativas, por ejemplo
estamos colaborando con el Instituto Canario de la
Mujer. Ya tenemos fecha cerrada para el 3 de octubre
en la que organizaremos unas jornadas para fomentar el asociacionismo de la mujer, sobre todo la mujer
del medio rural, que a veces por lejanía no puede acceder a ciertos beneficios.
Si se asocian varias mujeres de lugares apartados
podrán conseguir servicios adicionales tales, como
guarderías, transporte escolar, comedores para sus
hijos, etc., creando un objetivo común y consiguiendo
más tiempo para sus propias actividades.
Muchas de estas mujeres llevan sobre su espalda
todo el peso de la actividad agrícola o ganadera de la
familia, ya que el marido suele ser el marchante y su
actividad le lleva más tiempo fuera del lugar de trabajo.
Queremos que ellas puedan optar a ser cotitular o
titulares de esa explotación y no estar solamente en
la sombra, llevando casi todo el trabajo.
¿Cómo se puede ser socio de G. D. R?
Como en cualquier asociación con una simple solicitud,
e igualmente se puede llegar, a través de los canales establecidos, a ser miembro de la junta directiva. Deseamos
que cualquier asociación o vinculación para el desarrollo
rural de la isla pueda estar representada tanto en la asamblea de socios, como en la junta directiva.
Antes de terminar, esta entrevista nos gustaría invitar a los muchos emprendedores que hay en Fuerteventura, a que nos visiten y nos expongan sus inquietudes e ideas para, con toda seguridad, encontrar un
medio adecuado para ayudarles a darles forma.

«We are looking for innovating projects that

If women in isolated areas created an association,
they could benefit from additional services such as
nurseries, school transport, dining halls for children,
etc., by creating a common project they would also
manage to have more time for their own activities.
Many women already have their responsibilities with
agricultural and livestock activities, given that
husbands tend to take care of selling and spend more
time away from the farm.
We want women to be able to have a choice and
legally exploit and share the farm business instead of
working in the shadows.
How can one become a member of G.D.R.?
Like in any association, it only takes a simple request
and people can also join through channels established
to become member of the board of directors. We wish
for any association or connection for the Island’s
development to be represented both at the member’s
assembly and at the board of directors.
¿What is G. D. R. Maxorata?
We are a non-profit-making association created as a
group for the island’s rural development. We are
appointed by Europe as well as by the Canarian
Government and our objective is linked to the LEADER
initiative, which benefits from European funds and that
is currently included in Part 4 of the P.D.R. (Rural
Development Programme) of the Canarian Government.
This is where some measures that are grantable are
established to which we don’t comply at present and
we are searching for projects that would fit the
requirements.
Which types of projects?
We are looking for innovative projects that can help
Fuerteventura’s rural development, diversify local
products and increase the quality of existing ones. The
idea is to boost initiatives, both private and from public
entities, by getting subventions every time for the
maximum possible amount assigned to each project
as long as it fits the requirements.
Are those funds purely for new businesses and
private initiatives?
70 % of the LEADER funds investment must be spent
on private initiatives and 30% can be invested on public
entities. In those cases it is always spent to restore
historic or natural heritage, and also on social services
projects that improve quality of life in small rural
villages, such as children dining halls in schools, etc.
When do applications start?
The first call started on 10th March and lasted sixty
days when 221.000 euros were made available. There
is a maximum of six months to reply to projects that
have been selected, although we don’t want to wait
that long.
Who decides on who deserves the subvention or not?
It is the board of Directors in Fuerteventura that
chooses projects that comply with the requirements
and that according to the grade given and the
innovation, deserve to receive a grant.
A technical viability survey is carried out and once it
has been assessed, projects that pass are publically
announced. Later, a contract is signed confirming that
we undertake to pay what has been agreed after
checking that the project has been completed and
complies with what was scheduled.
Who belongs to the board of Directors that make
those decisions?
This association was created with the participation
in the board of directors of each economic field on the

island, which means that they are completely aware
of Fuerteventura’s necessities in rural areas.
We aim to be completely transparent as far as
management of allocations of subventions to various
projects is concerned. We want to be dissociated from
both politics and from the previous association’s bad
image and bad management, when everything was
highly secret, which was badly interpreted.
We have created a webpage where our status is
clearly explained, as well as the formalities required
for who would like to apply and how projects are
assessed. Furthermore we help in the application
process and to prepare all necessary documents and
requirements for those who need assistance. The idea
is for no one to feel that they cannot apply for lack of
technical means to present their project.
Are the LEADER funds the only objective of this
association?
No, we have other types of initiatives, for example
we collaborate with the Canarian Institute for Women.
We have already set a date for the 3rd October when
we will organise Open Days to promote women’s
associations, especially for women in rural areas who
sometimes, because of their isolation, cannot benefit
from some advantages.
Before ending this interview, we would like to invite
the numerous businesspeople of Fuerteventura to
come and meet with us and tell us about their concerns
and ideas so that, in complete confidentiality, we can
find adequate ways to help and make their projects
happen.

Was ist der G. D. R. Maxorata?
Wir sind ein gemeinnütziger Verein, der als Gruppe
für die ländliche Entwicklung der Insel gegründet
wurde. Wir sind sowohl von der EU als auch von der
Regierung der Kanaren beauftragt und unsere
Hauptaufgabe ist mit der Initiative LEADER verbunden,
die über europäische Fonds verfügt und zurzeit zur 4
des P. D. R., (Programm für ländliche Entwicklung) der
Regierung der Kanaren gehört.
Dort wird festgesetzt, wofür Subventionen vergeben
werden können. Wir halten uns an diese Maßstäbe
und bemühen uns Projekte zu finden, die diese
Anforderungen erfüllen.
Was für Projekte?
Wir suchen nach neuartigen Projekten, die die
ländliche Entwicklung von Fuerteventura begünstigen,
die örtlichen Produkte breiter fächern oder die Qualität
der schon existierenden verbessern. Es wird
beabsichtigt, private und öffentliche Initiativen zu
fördern, indem wir in jedem Fall den möglichen
Prozentsatz von jedem Projekt fördern, vorausgesetzt
dass dieses über die angemessene Punktzahl verfügt.
Sind diese Fonds nur für neue Unternehmer und
private Initiativen bestimmt?
70 % der Investition der Fonds von LEADER sind für
private Initiativen bestimmt und nur 30 % können in
öffentlichen Einrichtungen investiert werden. Die
letzteren sind immer für die Restaurierung von
historischem Erbe, die Sanierung von Naturerbe und
auch für soziale Leistungen, durch die die
Lebensqualität in den ländlichen Orten verbessert
wird, wie Mensen für Kinder in Schulen usw.
Wann konnten die Anträge eingereicht werden?
Die erste Ausschreibung begann am 10. März und
dauerte sechzig Tage. Dabei ging es um einen Betrag
von 221.000 €. Die Antragsteller der ausgewählten
Projekte sollen in spätestens sechs Monaten
benachrichtigt werde, aber wir beabsichtigen schneller
zu antworten.
Wer bestimmt, wer diese Subventionen erhält?
Der Vorstand auf Fuerteventura wählt diejenigen
Projekte aus, die die erforderlichen Kriterien erfüllen.
Es wird eine technische Prüfung über die
Durchführbarkeit des Projektes gemacht und nach der
Auswertung werden die akzeptierten Projekte
veröffentlicht. Danach wird ein Vertrag abgeschlossen,

in dem wir uns verpflichten, den vereinbarten Betrag
einzuzahlen, vorausgesetzt dass im Rahmen von
jedem Projekt das verwirklicht wird, was geplant war.
Wer gehört dem Vorstand an, der die
Entscheidungen fällt?
Dieser Verein wurde so gegründet, dass Vertreter
aller wirtschaftlichen Bereiche der Insel im Vorstand
sind, die gut die Bedürfnisse des ländlichen Fuerteventura kennen.
Wir möchten, dass unsere ganzen Zuweisungen der
verschiedenen Subventionen für die einzelnen Projekte
transparent sind. Wir möchten uns sowohl auf
politischer als auch auf persönlicher Ebene von dem
negativen Image und der schlechten Verwaltung des
vorherigen Verbandes unterscheiden, wo alles geheim
gehalten wurde und negativ interpretiert werden
konnte.
Wir haben eine Website im Internet eröffnet, wo
unsere Statuten genau erklärt werden. Außerdem
findet man die Einzelheiten darüber, wer Subventionen
beantragen kann und nach welchen Maßstäben die
Projekte bewertet werden.
Außerdem helfen wir denjenigen, die uns darum
bitten, die Anträge zu stellen und alle notwendigen
Dokumente und Anforderungen einzureichen.
Niemand soll verwehr t bleiben, sein Projekt
einzureichen, nur weil er nicht über die technischen
Mittel verfügt.
Ist die Finanzierung für LEADER das einzige Ziel
des Vereins?
Nein, wir haben andere Initiativen. Wir arbeiten zum
Beispiel mit dem kanarischen Institut für Frauen
zusammen. Wir haben schon einen Termin für den 3.
Oktober abgemacht, um eine Tagung zu organisieren,
durch die das Vereinswesen der Frauen gefördert
werden soll. Das betrifft vor allem die Frauen vom Land,
die manchmal aufgrund der Entfernungen keinen
Zugang zu gewissen Vorteilen haben.
Wenn mehrere Frauen an entlegenen Orten einen
Verein mit einem gemeinsamen Ziel gründen, können
sie zusätzliche Leistungen wie Kindergärten,
Schulbusse, Mensen für ihre Kinder usw. erhalten und
haben dadurch mehr Zeit für ihre eigenen Aktivitäten.
Viele dieser Frauen tragen das Gewicht der
Landwirtschaft oder der Viehzucht, die ihre Familie
betreibt, auf ihren Schultern, da ihre Männer
normalerweise den Handel betreiben und sich
aufgrund dieser Aktivität oft entfernt vom Arbeitsort
aufhalten.
Wir möchten, dass diese Frauen Besitzerinnen oder
Mitbesitzerinnen dieser Farmen sein können und nicht
nur im Schatten stehen, obwohl sie fast die ganze
Arbeit machen.
Wie kann man Mitglied des G. D. R werden?
Wie in jedem Verein muss man einfach einen Antrag
stellen und dann kann man auch über den
festgesetzten Weg Mitglied des Vorstandes werden.
Wir möchten, dass jeder Verein oder jedes Netzwerk
für die Entwicklung der Insel sowohl in der
Mitgliederversammlung als auch im Vorstand vertreten
sein kann.
Bevor wir dieses Interview beenden, möchten wir die
vielen Unternehmer aus Fuerteventura einladen, uns
zu besuchen und uns etwas über ihre Sorgen und
Vorstellungen zu erzählen, damit wir ihnen helfen
können, diese zu verwirklichen.

Un mes de agosto en familia

Agosto es el mes de las vacaciones por excelencia.
Un mes donde la mayoría de las familias puede disfrutar de algunos días de ocio para compartir con los
niños, pequeños privilegiados que ya han consumido
buena parte de sus largas vacaciones escolares que
comenzaron el pasado mes de junio.
El verano atraviesa su apogeo y es hora de emplear
nuestro tiempo para disfrutarlo con toda la familia.
Muchas serán las que se marcharán de viaje, pero, en
tiempos de crisis, no serán menos las que quieran
reinventar sus vacaciones e incluir en sus planes las
mejores propuestas de ocio de la isla.
Fuerteventura se presenta como una fuente inagotable de recursos y aventuras. Declarada recientemente Reserva de la Biosfera por la UNESCO, la Isla tranquila es ideal para descubrir junto a los más pequeños innumerables y sorprendentes rutas. Inmensas
playas, hermosos pueblos costeros y espacios naturales protegidos son solo algunas de las opciones para
planificar una buena excursión. Como la UNESCO des-
tacó, Fuerteventura posee «una amplia gama de
ecosistemas, que van desde zonas desérticas y
semidesérticas hasta hábitats costeros y marinos poblados por una gran variedad de especies pelágicas».
Este es un motivo más que suficiente para aprovechar
unos días de vacaciones e invertirlos en redescubrir
la isla e inculcar a los niños importantes valores como
el respeto al medio ambiente.
AYUNTAMIENTOS
Pero no estamos solos a la hora de diseñar el planning
estival de los niños. Los ayuntamientos ofrecen una
amplia programación de actividades infantiles que van
desde las clásicas escuelas de verano a las actividades
deportivas. Los deportes náuticos son protagonistas:
piragüismo, surfing, kiteboarding, vela latina,… Muchas
son las disciplinas que se ofertan para que los niños disfruten del mar y aprendan a surfear de forma segura o a
volar la cometa. Para disfrutar de ellas, es necesario acudir a los ayuntamientos e informarnos de los requisitos
(edad, fecha, precio) de cada una de las escuelas.
Pese a que el mar es el rey del verano, siempre existe la opción de clásicos como el vóley playa o la natación en las piscinas municipales.
Además, es conveniente estar atentos a las páginas
web de los diferentes ayuntamientos para descubrir,
en sus agendas de ocio, la programación de teatro, cine
de verano o música. En función de nuestros gustos y
de la edad de los niños, siempre encontraremos una
buena opción para pasar un divertido día de verano.
No faltan ideas más culturales, como las bibliotecas, que hasta finales de agosto se trasladan hasta la
playa en diversas localidades.
PLAYA Y PARQUES
Viviendo en un lugar como Fuerteventura, la playa
siempre va a ser referencia obligada en los planes estivales. Buscar un bonito rincón o pasar el día en una
playa en la que se organizan distintas actividades de
ocio, puede ayudarnos a innovar un poco en la rutina
de los niños. Si aún así reclaman un día especial, es
momento de recurrir a los parques. Parques temáticos,
centros de ocio y parques acuáticos son otra de las propuestas que harán las delicias de grandes y pequeños.
Se trata de una apuesta segura; una oportunidad de
volver a ser niños y jugar de tú a tú con ellos.
Pero lo más importante, sin duda, es dedicar nuestro tiempo a los reyes de la casa y compartirlo con
ellos. Disfrutar de los pequeños momentos que no
tenemos a lo largo del año a causa del trabajo, aunque solo sea para leer un libro, ir al parque, bañarnos
en la piscina o merendar en un lugar especial, será
suficiente para que el día haya merecido la pena.
Después de un año esperando, el mes de agosto ya
está aquí. ¡Disfrútalo en familia!
Spending August with the family
August is the absolute holiday month. This is the
month when most families can enjoy a few days with
the children, those young privileged ones who, by then,
have consumed most of their school holidays that
started in June (in Spain).
Summer reaches its peak and it is time to enjoy
ourselves with the whole family. Many families will
travel, but in those times of crisis, quite a few will have
to re-think their holidays and include in their planning
the best leisure activities that the island has to offer.
Fuerteventura is an endless source of resources and
adventures. It was recently declared Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO and the tranquil island is ideal for
discovery trips with the children on its numerous and
surprising routes. Immense beaches, beautiful little
coastal villages and natural protected areas are some
of the options available for interesting excursions. As
UNESCO pointed out, Fuerteventura possesses «a wide
range of ecosystems that vary from desert and semi-

Ayuntamientos can provide all the information about
age requirements, dates and prices of each school.
Although the ocean is the main focus during the
summer season, there are always more classical
options such as beach volley or swimming at municipal swimming pools.
Furthermore it is recommended to keep an eye on
the Ayuntamientos’ websites and find out about their
activities’ planning, theatre, cinema or musical
programmes. According to our preferences and the
ages of our children there is always a good option
available to ensure a fun summer day.
There is no shortage of cultural options either with
libraries that have moved to beaches in some locations
until the end of August.

of children activities that range from classic summer
school to sports’ activities. Nautical sports take main
stage with canoeing, surfing, kite boarding, sailing …

In a place like Fuerteventura, the beach is always
one of the chosen summer activities. Look for a nice
little place and spend a day at the beach where you
can organise a few activities and innovate a little in
your children’s routine. Despite all this, if children still
ask for a special day, it is then time to take them to
parks. Theme parks, leisure centres and aqua-parks
and some of the options that will make the whole family
happy. This is a safe bet; an opportunity to be kids
again and play with them at their level.
But most important of all, it is about dedicating our
time to the kings of our homes and sharing it with them.
Enjoy those moments we don’t get during the year
because of work commitments, even if it is just to read
a book, go to the park, have a swim in the pool or have
lunch in a special place, it is really worth it.

August mit der familie
August ist der Hauptferienmonat. Ein Monat, in dem
die meisten Familien ein paar gemeinsame Tage mit
den Kindern genießen können, den kleinen
Privilegierten, die schon einen großen Teil ihrer langen
Schulferien hinter sich haben, die im Juli begannen.
Der Sommer erreicht seinen Höhepunkt und jetzt
sollten wir unsere Zeit mit der ganzen Familie
verbringen. Viele werden verreisen, aber in
Krisenzeiten werden diejenigen nicht in der Minderheit
sein, die ihre Ferien neu erfinden wollen und die besten
Freizeitangebote der Insel zu nutzen beabsichtigen.
Auf Fuerteventura gibt es zahlreiche Möglichkeiten
und Abenteuer. Die Insel wurde vor kurzem von der
UNESCO zum Biosphärenreservat erklärt. Die ruhige
Insel ist ideal, um zusammen mit den Kleinsten die
unzählbaren und überraschenden Routen zu
entdecken. Lange Strände, wunderschöne Küstendörfer
und geschützte Naturräume bieten uns die Gelegenheit,
einen tollen Ausflug zu planen. Wie die UNESCO betonte,
besitzt Fuerteventura «ein breites Spektrum an
Ökosystemen, von wüstenhaften und halbwüstenhaften
Gegenden bis zu Biotopen an den Küsten und im Meer,
in denen zahlreiche pelagische Tiere und Pflanzen leben
«. Dies ist ein mehr als ausreichender Grund, um einige
Ferientage zu nutzen, um die Insel neu zu entdecken
und den Kindern wichtige Werte wie Respekt für die
Umwelt beizubringen.
GEMEINDEN
Wir sind jedoch nicht die einzigen, die ein
Sommerprogramm für Kinder entwerfen. Die
Gemeinden bieten ein weitgefächertes Angebot von
Aktivitäten für Kinder, die von den klassischen
Sommerschulen bis zu sportlichen Aktivitäten reichen.
Vor allem der Wassersport spielt dabei eine große
Rolle: Kanusport, Surfen, Kiteboarding, lateinisches
Segeln,… Es werden viele Disziplinen angeboten, durch
die die Kinder das Meer genießen können und lernen,
gut zu surfen oder wie ein Komet zu fliegen. Um dieses Angebot nutzen zu können, muss man sich an die
Gemeinden wenden und sich über die Bedingungen
(Alter, Datum, Preis) der verschiedenen Schulen
informieren.
Obwohl das Meer der König des Sommers ist, kann
man auch am Strand Volleyball spielen oder in den
öffentlichen Schwimmbädern schwimmen.
Außerdem lohnt es sich, die Websites der
verschiedenen Gemeinden anzuschauen, um im
Freizeitangebot das Programm für Theater,
Sommerkino oder Musik zu entdecken. Wir können
etwas nach unserem Geschmack und dem Alter der
Kinder aussuchen und werden immer etwas finden,
um einen unterhaltsamen Sommertag zu verbringen.
Zu den kulturellen Einrichtungen gehören auch die
Bibliotheken, die bis Ende August an die Strände der
verschiedenen Ortschaften ausgelagert werden.
STRÄNDE UND PARKS
Wenn man an einem Ort wie Fuerteventura lebt, ist
der Strand immer ein obligatorischer Bezugspunkt für
die Sommerpläne. Einen schönen Platz zu suchen oder
den Tag an einem Strand zu verbringen, wo
verschiedene Freizeitaktivitäten organisiert werden,
kann uns helfen, die Routine der Kinder etwas
aufzubrechen. Wenn diese trotzdem einen besonderen
Tag fordern, ist der Zeitpunkt gekommen, um die Parks
zu besuchen. Themenbezogene Parks, Freizeitzentren
und Wasserparks gehören zu den Angeboten, die
Große und Kleine erfreuen. Sie stellen eine sichere
Wahl dar und bieten uns die Möglichkeit, wieder zu
Kindern zu werden und mit den Kleinen auf dem
gleichen Niveau zu spielen.
Aber das wichtigste ist zweifellos, dass wir unsere
Zeit den Königen des Hauses widmen und sie mit diesen verbringen. Mit den Kleinen viel Zeit zu verbringen,
was uns während des Jahres unsere Arbeit nicht
ermöglicht, ist ausreichend, damit sich der Tag gelohnt
hat, auch wenn wir nur ein Buch lesen, in den Park
gehen, im Schwimmbad schwimmen oder an einem
besonderen Ort vespern.
Wir haben ein Jahr auf den August gewartet, jetzt ist
er da. Genießen Sie ihn mit Ihrer Familie!

Frente al calor, ¡cambia tu alimentación!
Sumergidos en plena estación estival, la rutina diaria cambia, porque varían todos los factores que la
definen el resto del año. Es tiempo de calor, de vacaciones, de nuevas costumbres, de largos días de playa y largas noches para disfrutar rodeados de amigos. Es verano y todo es diferente.
Nuestros hábitos alimentarios poco tienen que ver
con los que seguimos en otoño, invierno o primavera.
Las altas temperaturas hacen que nuestro cuerpo pierda líquido y nos surja la continua necesidad de hidratarnos y refrescarnos. Es cuando entran en escena
las ensaladas, las sopas frías y las frutas frescas, siempre acompañadas de abundante líquido. Combinando estos elementos, de forma racional, conseguiremos vencer el calor y la fatiga a través de una correcta hidratación y un buen aporte de nutrientes.
FRUTAS Y VERDURAS
El verano es la estación ideal para disfrutar de una
amplia variedad de frutas y verduras de temporada.
Si bien es aconsejable beber dos litros de agua diarios para reponer líquidos y asegurar una buena hidratación, las frutas de verano también cumplen con
estas funciones. Además, sus múltiples propiedades
las convierten en una opción saludable en nuestra
dieta diaria, ya que tienen un bajo aporte calórico y un
alto contenido tanto de vitaminas como de fibra.
En pleno mes de agosto, es hora de disfrutar de
auténticos reyes del verano como el melón o la sandía. Cerezas, nectarinas, albaricoques, nísperos o
melocotones también ocupan un lugar privilegiado
entre las sabrosas frutas veraniegas.
Junto a ellas, verduras de todo tipo forman parte de
las ensaladas más variopintas y de cremas frías como
el gazpacho, que llega a nuestra en múltiples versiones, desde el clásico gazpacho andaluz hasta el que
combina el tomate y la sandía. Es época de pepinos,
tomates, pimientos, zanahorias, berenjenas,… Un sinfín de verduras de todos los colores y sabores que se
convierten en plato principal o acompañan una sabrosa carne a la brasa.
HÁBITOS DE TEMPORADA
La adaptación al verano supone no solo introducir
nuevos alimentos en nuestra dieta, si no también sustituir la forma de cocinarlos. El
verano invita a dejar de lado las
comidas grasas y los guisos pesados, dando paso a platos ligeros. Ensaladas clásicas conviven
con ensaladas de pasta o de frutas tropicales. Las carnes y pescados se sirven a la plancha o a
la brasa. Las sopas se alejan de
los fogones para llenarse de frescura en forma de vichyssoise o
de sopa de melón. Es el momento de la imaginación en la cocina
en busca de la sencillez y de los
sabores más afines a esta época del año.
En cuanto a las bebidas, la
abundante ingesta de agua puede combinarse con zumos de fruta que, además de refrescarnos,
nos aportan antioxidantes y vitaminas. En función del calor o de
nuestro nivel de deshidratación, podemos recurrir a
las bebidas con sales y evitar el alcohol.
Junto a ellos, otros protagonistas del verano son los
helados, los batidos y los sorbetes. Deliciosos y refrescantes, se incorporan a nuestra vida diaria de forma progresiva en cuanto hace su aparición el calor.
Fuente de calcio, fibra, vitaminas, minerales, carbohidratos y proteínas, los helados pueden consumirse con
moderación para combatir las altas temperaturas.
INTOXICACIONES ALIMENTARIAS
Otro aspecto a tener en cuenta son las intoxicaciones
alimentarias, que se multiplican cuando aprieta el
calor. Las cremas y las salsas son los productos más
propensos a causar una intoxicación, siendo las más
frecuentes la salmonelosis y la gastroenteritis. La ingestión de alimentos con sustancias tóxicas o
microorganismos patógenos es la causa de estas
intoxicaciones que se manifiestan, sobre todo, en forma de dolor estomacal, vómitos, fiebre o diarrea.
En casa, se recomienda comprar alimentos frescos
y prestar atención a la fecha de caducidad. Además,
hay que mantener la cadena del frío, lavar con cuidado tanto frutas como verduras y completar de forma
adecuada la cocción de los alimentos.
El huevo es uno de nuestros principales enemigos y
frente a él debemos tomar medidas. No es recomendable consumirlos crudos, ni tampoco mantener en
la nevera durante días mayonesas o tortillas.
Si comemos fuera de casa, lo fundamental es evitar los platos más peligrosos como ensaladillas, pescados o pasteles.

Fight the heat, change your eating habits!
During the summer season, our daily routine
changes because all the factors that define it during
the rest of the year are no longer the same. It is all
about heat, holidays, new habits, long days on the
beach and long nights enjoyed amongst friends. It is
summer and everything is different.
Our summer eating habits are hardly those we follow
in autumn, winter or spring. High temperatures make
our body waste liquids and we continuously need to
hydrate and refresh ourselves. This is when salads,
cold soups and fresh fruits are required as well as
plenty of liquids. By combining those elements
rationally we will manage to combat heat and tiredness
through hydration and good nutrients’ intake.
FRUITS AND VEGETABLES
Summer is the ideal season to enjoy a wide variety
of seasonal fruits and vegetables. It is also
recommended to drink two litres of water daily in order
to stay hydrated and summer fruits are also a way to
hydrate ourselves. Furthermore their multiple
properties make it a healthy option in our daily diet
that is low in calories and brings high amounts of
vitamins and fibres.
In August we can enjoy the best summer fruits such
as melons and water melons. Cherries, nectarines,
apricots, medlars, or peaches are also some of the
favourite delicious summer fruits.
Furthermore, all types of vegetables help create the
most varied salads or cold soups such as gazpacho. It
now comes in all kinds of versions, from the classic
Andalusian gazpacho to the gazpacho that combines
tomato with water melon. It is the season of cucumbers,
tomatoes, peppers, carrots, aubergines, … Great many
vegetables of all colours and flavours that create great
main courses or side dishes with grilled meat.
SUMMER HABITS
Adapting to the summer does not only mean
introducing new food in our diet, it is also about
changing our cooking habits. Summer invites us to stay
away from fatty or heavy dishes and go for lighter ones.
Classic salads get mixed with pasta or tropical fruit
salads. Meat and fish are grilled or brazed. Soups stay
away from the stove and transform themselves in fresh
dishes such as cold Vichy soup or melon soup. This is
the time of the year when we should be creative in the
kitchen and look for simplicity and the finest flavours.
As for drinks, the large amounts of water we drink
can be combined with fruit juices that hydrate and
bring antioxidants and vitamins. According to the heat
or our level of dehydration, we can also take salt and
mineral drinks and avoid alcohol.
The other summer protagonists are the ice creams,
shakes and sorbets. Delicious and refreshing they are
incorporated in our daily lives progressively as soon
as the temperature heats up. They are a source of
calcium, fibres, vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates and
proteins, ice creams should be consumed with
moderation to combat high temperatures.
FOOD INTOXICATIONS
Food intoxications are another aspect that we should
be aware of, as the heat increases the risk. Creams
and sauces are most likely to cause intoxication, the
most frequent ones being salmonella and
gastroenteritis. Ingesting food that contains toxic
substances or pathogenic microorganisms is the cause of intoxications that manifest themselves as
stomach ache, vomiting, fever, or diarrhea.
At home, it is recommended to buy fresh food and
look carefully at expiry dates. Furthermore, we should
maintain the cold chain, carefully wash both fruits and
vegetables and cook vegetables appropriately.
Eggs are amongst our worst enemies and we should
take special care when consuming them. It is not
recommended to eat them raw or keep mayonnaise
or omelette (tortillas) in the fridge for too long.
When eating out, it is fundamental to avoid the most
dangerous dishes such as Russian salad, fish or pies.

In der Sommersaison ändert sich die alltägliche
Routine, denn alles ist anders als im Rest des Jahres.
Es ist die Zeit der Hitze, der Ferien, der neuen
Angewohnheiten, der langen Tage am Strand und der
langen Nächte, in denen wir uns zusammen mit
unseren Freunden amüsieren. Es ist Sommer und alles
ist anders.
Unsere Ernährung ist ganz anders als im Herbst, im
Winter und im Frühling. Aufgrund der hohen
Temperaturen verliert unser Körper Wasser, deshalb
müssen wir ihn mit Flüssigkeit versorgen und uns
erfrischen. Nun kommen Salate, kalte Suppen und
frisches Obst auf den Tisch. Dazu trinken wir immer
viel. Wenn wir diese Elemente auf vernünftige Weise
kombinieren, werden wir es schaffen, durch eine
korrekte Flüssigkeitsaufnahme und die richtigen
Nährstoffe die Hitze und die Erschöpfung zu
bewältigen.
OBST UND GEMÜSE
Der Sommer ist die ideale Saison, um ein weit
gefächertes Angebot an Obst und Gemüse der Saison
zu genießen. Es wird zwar empfohlen, zwei Liter Wasser
pro Tag zu trinken, um eine angemessene
Flüssigkeitsaufnahme zu bewältigen, aber auch die
Sommerfrüchte erfüllen diese Funktion. Außerdem
sind sie eine gesunde Lösung für unsere tägliche Diät,
denn sie enthalten wenig Kalorien und viele Vitamine
und Fasern. August ist der richtige Monat, um die
wirklichen Könige des Sommers zu genießen, die
Melone und die Wassermelone. Auch Kirschen,
Nektarinen, Aprikosen, Mispeln und Pfirsiche gehören
zu den beliebtesten Früchten des Sommers.
Dazu kommt Gemüse jeder Art, das wir in Form von
Salaten und kalten Suppen wie dem Gazpacho
verzehren, von dem uns zahlreiche Sorten zur
Verfügung stehen, vom klassischen andalusischen
Gazpacho bis zu dem, bei dem Tomaten mit
Wassermelone gemischt werden. Es ist die Zeit der
Gurken, Tomaten, Paprika, Karotten, Auberginen…
unendliche viele Gemüsesorten in allen Farben und
Geschmacksrichtungen, die zum Hauptgericht werden
oder zur schmackhaften Beilage für gegrilltes Fleisch.
SAISONBEDINGTE ANGEWOHNHEITEN
Wenn wir unseren Speiseplan an den Sommer
anpassen, kommen nicht nur neue Nahrungsmittel auf
den Tisch, sondern wir kochen auch anders. Im
Sommer sollte man statt fettem Essen und
Fischeintopf lieber leichtere Gerichte essen. Zu dem
klassischen Salat kommt auch Nudelsalat oder Salat
aus tropischen Früchten. Fleisch und Fisch werden
gebraten oder gegrillt serviert. Statt Suppen isst man
frischere Gerichte wie Vichyssoise oder Melonensuppe.
Dies ist der richtige Zeitpunkt, um in der Küche die
Vorstellungskraft walten zu lassen und sich einfache
Gerichte auszudenken, die zu dieser Saison passen.
Was die Getränke betrifft, man kann außer viel
Wasser auch Fruchtsäfte trinken, die uns nicht nur
erfrischen sondern uns auch Antioxidantien und
Vitamine liefern. Je nach Temperatur oder unserem
Bedarf an Flüssigkeit, können wir salzhaltige Getränke
trinken und sollten Alkohol vermeiden.
Neben den Getränken haben im Sommer auch Eis,
Mixgetränke und Sorbet eine große Bedeutung. Sie
schmecken gut und sind erfrischend. Wenn es anfängt
heiß zu werden, nehmen wir sie nach und nach in
unseren Speiseplan auf. Sie sind eine Quelle für
Kalzium, Vitamine, Mineralstoffe, Kohlenhydrate und
Proteine und können im Kampf gegen die hohen
Temperaturen in Maßen gegessen werden.
LEBENSMITTELVERGIFTUNGEN
Man muss auch daran denken, dass
Lebensmittelvergiftungen bei starker Hitze häufiger
sind. Cremes und Saucen sind die Produkte, die am
anfälligsten dafür sind Vergiftungen zu erzeugen. Unter
diesen sind die Salmonellenerkrankung und die
Magen-Darm-Entzündung am häufigsten. Der Verzehr
von Lebensmitteln, die toxische Substanzen oder
Krankheit erregende Mikroorganismen enthalten, ist
die häufigste Ursache dieser Vergiftungen, die vor
allem in Form von Bauchschmerzen, Erbrechen, Fieber
und Durchfall auftreten.
Es wird empfohlen, vor allem frische Lebensmittel
zu kaufen und zu Hause auf die Verfallsdaten zu
achten. Außerdem muss man die Lebensmittel kühl
halten, Obst und Gemüse sorgfältig waschen und
Lebensmittel auf angemessene Weise kochen.
Eier gehören zu unseren besonderen Feinden, gegen
die wir uns schützen müssen. Es ist nicht
empfehlenswert, sie roh zu verzehren oder Tage lang
im Kühlschrank Mayonnaise und Tor tilla
aufzubewahren.
Wenn wir auswärts essen ist es sehr wichtig, die
gefährlichsten Gerichte wie Salat mit Majonäse, Fisch
und Törtchen zu vermeiden.

Fernando Delgado - Periodista y escritor
«Estoy convencido de que estamos hechos
a golpe de memoria»
Fernando Delgado nació en Santa Cruz de Tenerife
allá por 1947. Desde los 13 años, empezó a colaborar
en periódicos tinerfeños como El Día y La Tarde. Licenciado en Filosofía y Letras y en Ciencias de la Información por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid,
fue el primer director de Radio 3. También fue responsable de los programas generales de Radio Exterior
de España y consejero de RTVE, e incluso llegó a ocupar la dirección de RNE en dos ocasiones. Tras diversos trabajos, la publicación de Tachero (1973) y Exterminio en Lastenia (1980) marcaron el inicio de una
exitosa trayectoria como novelista. De hecho, su trabajo como periodista y escritor ha recibido multitud
de reconocimientos, llegando a obtener el Premio Planeta en 1995 con La mirada del otro. Director durante una larga temporada del programa A vivir que son
dos días de la Cadena Ser, continua trabajando como
comentarista en la emisora, tarea que compagina con
su faceta de colaborador del periódico El País y de los
periódicos de Editorial Prensa Ibérica.
Ahora, Fernando disfruta de su última novela, De
una vida a otra, que surgió de un recuerdo permanente del autor: «Durante años me pregunté qué habría
sido de aquel muchacho que, mediados los sesenta,
vi salir un día del reformatorio canario en el que yo
daba clases, y al que por la gravedad de sus supuestos delitos trasladaban a un reformatorio modelo de
la península, esposado. Casi cuarenta años más tarde intenté encontrarme en la red con aquel adolescente o con alguien que pudiera dar noticia de él. Ahí
empieza esta novela.» Una novela que narra cómo ese
niño, que no había cometido ninguna maldad, pasa
sin casi darse cuenta de una vida a otra. Una historia
muy dura que está endulzada por una dosis de humor
ácido que provoca la sonrisa en el lector.
ELEMENTOS AUTOBIOGRÁFICOS
De una vida a otra no es una autobiografía, si no una
novela que habla sobre la identidad y el destino. Sin
embargo, el libro recoge elementos que revelan aspectos menos conocidos de la vida del autor canario. «Mis
compañeros de magisterio se enfadan mucho conmigo, porque nunca pongo en mis notas biográficas que
estudié Magisterio. Lo hice por necesidad familiar, pues
era un modo de ganarse la vida», comenta.
«Con 17 años era maestro y me fue más fácil dar
clase en un reformatorio de menores que irme a un
pueblo de maestro nacional. Esta experiencia, que
compatibilicé con la universidad y con la radio, me
permitió vivir la vida de aquel lugar». Y fue así como el
propio Fernando Delgado vio salir a un chico camino
de un reformatorio modelo y a su madre que había
entregado al estado «a un niño ejemplar y le habían
devuelto a un delincuente».

PAISAJES CANARIOS
En la novela aparece el espacio geográfico de las
islas, muy presente en su literatura. Sin embargo,
Delgado asegura que, a pesar de sus continuas referencias a paisajes canarios, carece del arraigo que
poseen otros «en eso debo de ser defectuoso, porque
yo no soy nada arraigado. Lo que pasa es que estoy
convencido de que estamos hechos a golpe de memoria». Pese a todo, hay quien dice que la patria de
una persona es su infancia y, en este sentido, el escritor señala que «mi infancia se desarrolló aquí, por lo
tanto, el uso de esos elementos son fruto de la memoria, sin la cual no seríamos nada, pero no la utilizo
como un elemento de fidelidad patriótica, sino de fidelidad a mí mismo y a mi paisaje».
Pese a estar afincado en la localidad valenciana de
Faura, el periodista y escritor no olvida sus años de
niñez en Canarias, una época marcada por el
franquismo que recupera en el libro. Fernando Delgado trata de la infancia del protagonista antes de llegar
al reformatorio y aprovecha este hecho para retratar
la infancia de los niños canarios «en el mundo gris
del franquismo que estaba iluminado por las voces
de las mujeres». Porque según comenta, «me crié en-
tre mujeres y mi infancia está llena de sus voces. Los
padres en casa hablaban poco, no eran expresivos;
las mujeres, sin embargo, comentaban todo lo que
hacían, hablaban y cantaban». Los niños canarios de
la época quedan retratados en esta historia a través
de sus vidas, sus juegos, etc. Hablando de juegos,
Fernando reconoce que «era un niño raro que jugaba
a ser cura. Los niños no salíamos de las guerras y las
batallas, pero confesar era muy divertido».
En el contexto de la época, también hace referencia
al mundo de abusos y acoso que él mismo presenció.
«El reformatorio en el que trabajaba era un espacio
inhóspito y los chicos no encontraban consuelo en sus
compañeros, ni en los celadores, ni en la dirección.
Los niños se confesaban con el maestro joven y la
asistenta social. Nos convertimos en sospechosos y
me abrieron un expediente, porque no suspendía a
ningún niño».
Son solo pinceladas del paisaje desolador de una
España sometida a la dictadura franquista. Ahora,
muchos años después, Fernando se lamenta de ver
que, en los últimos informes del Defensor del Pueblo
sobre los centros de menores se refleja que «siguen
ocurriendo cosas similares en plena democracia».

Fernando Delgado was born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife in 1947. From the age of 13 years old he started

with La mirada del otro. For a long while he was the
Director of the programme «A vivir que son dos días»
of Cadena Ser, and is still commentator in the
programme, and he combines this position with that
of collaborator in the newspaper El País and
newspapers of Editorial Prensa Ibérica.
At the moment, Fernando enjoys his latest novel, De
una vida a otra, that was created from a recurring
dream of the author: «For years I wondered what had
become of this boy who, halfway through the seventies,
one day I saw being taken out of the Canarian young
offender’s institution where I used to teach, and who,
because of his supposed crimes, was transferred to a
young offender’s institution on Mainland Spain. Almost
forty years later I tried to find on the web one of those
adolescents or anyone who could have told me what
had happened to him. And this is where the novel
starts». It is a novel that is told like this child, who had
not committed any crime, and went, almost without
being aware of it, from one life to another. A very hard
story that is sweetened by a dose of acid humour that
entertains the reader.
AUTOBIOGRAPHIC ELEMENTS
De una vida a otra is not an autobiography, but a
novel that speaks about identity and destiny. However,
the book does include some elements that reveal
unknown aspects of the Canarian Author’s life. «My
colleague teachers are very angry with me, because I
never include the fact that I was a teacher in my
autobiographic notes. The fact is that I did it by
necessity as it was a way to earn a living» he comments.
«At 17 years of age I was a teacher and it was easier
for me to teach in a young offender’s institution than
teaching in a national school. This experience, that was
compatible with university and the radio, allowed me
to live this way». And this is how the real Fernando
Delgado saw a boy coming out of a young offender’s
institution and whose mother had given the state «a
perfect boy and had been given back a delinquent».
CANARIAN LANDSCAPES
The novel describes also the islands’ landscapes,
which are always very present in his work. However,
Fernando Delgado insists that despite continuous
references to Canarian landscapes he lacks roots that
others have «that must be something that is wrong
with me, because I am have roots. In fact I am
convinced that we are made of bits of memories».
However, some say that people are made from their
childhood and regarding this statement, the author
says «my childhood took place here and this is why
when I use those elements they come from my
memories, we would be nothing without them, I don’t
use this as an element of patriotic fidelity but more as
fidelity to myself and my landscape».
Despite living in Faura in the province of Valencia,
the journalist and writer has never forgotten his
childhood years spent in the Canaries, an era marked
by Franco’s regime which is described in the book.
Fernando Delgado relates the protagonist’s childhood
before arriving at the institution and takes advantage
of this part to describe Canarian children’s childhood
«in the grey world of Franco’s regime that was
illuminated by the voices of women». Because, as he
recalls, «I was brought up by women and my childhood
is full of their voices. Fathers used to talk very little at
home, they did not express themselves; women,
however, used to comment on everything they did, they
talked and sung». Canarian children of those days are
described in this story through their lives, their games,
etc. Speaking of games, Fernando admits that «he was
a strange child who used to play to be a priest. With
other children we used to play games of war and
battles, but confessing was good fun».
In the context of this era, he also makes references
to the world of abuse and harassment that he
witnessed himself. «The institution where I worked was
an inhospitable place and boys were not able to get
comfort neither from their companions or guards nor
from management. Children used to confide in the
young teacher and the social worker. We became
suspects and an enquiry was done because I did not
used to fail any children».
Those are a few brushstrokes of the landscape of a
country submitted to Franco’s regime. Now, many years
later, Fernando is sorry to see that in the latest surveys
from the Ombudsman about children’s facilities it appears
that «similar events still occur while we are in a democracy».

Programms A vivir que son dos días des Radios Cadena Ser und ist weiterhin als Kommentator für diesen
Sender tätig. Darüber hinaus arbeitet er mit der Zeitung
El País und mit den Zeitungen von Editorial Prensa
Ibérica zusammen.
Jetzt freut sich Fernando über seinen letzten Roman,
De una vida a otra, der aus fortlaufenden Erinnerungen
Erinnerung des Autors entstand: «Über Jahre fragte ich
mich, was wohl aus dem Jungen geworden ist, den ich
Mitte der sechziger Jahre eines Tages aus einer
kanarischen Besserungsanstalt herauskommen sah,
wo ich unterrichtete, und der wegen angeblich
schwerer Delikte in Handschellen in eine ModellBesserungsanstalt auf dem Festland gebracht wurde.
Fast vierzig Jahre später versuchte ich, mich über das
Internet mit diesem Jugendlichen in Verbindung zu
setzen oder mit jemand, der etwas über ihn wissen
könnte. Dieser Roman beginnt dort.» Der Roman
handelt davon, wie dieses Kind, das nichts Schlimmes
getan hatte, von einem Leben in ein anderes
wechselte, ohne sich dessen bewusst zu sein. Es ist
eine sehr harte Geschichte, die etwas von der Dosis
Humor versüßt wird, die den Leser zum Lächeln bringt.
AUTOBIOGRAPHISCHE ELEMENTE
De una vida a otra ist keine Autobiographie sondern
ein Roman, der von Identität und Schicksal handelt.
In dem Buch kommen jedoch Dinge vor, die etwas über
weniger bekannte Aspekte des Lebens des
kanarischen Autors enthüllen. Er sagt: «Meine
Kommilitonen des Lehramtstudiums schelten mich,
weil ich nie in meiner Biographie schreibe, dass ich
Lehramt studiert habe. Ich tat dies, weil ich es tun
musste, um mir meinen Lebensunterhalt zu verdienen.
«Im Alter von 17 Jahren war ich Lehrer und es war
leichter, in einer Besserungsanstalt für Minderjährige
zu unterrichten als als Lehrer in ein Dorf zu gehen.
Dank dieser Erfahrung, die ich mit der Universität und
dem Radio vereinen konnte, war es mir möglich, an
diesem Ort zu leben». Und so sah Fernando Delgado
einen Jungen in eine Modell-Besserungsanstalt gehen
und er sah dessen Mutter, die dem Staat «ein
hervorragendes Kind übergeben hatte, aus dem ein
Verbrecher gemacht wurde».
KANARISCHE LANDSCHAFTEN
In dem Roman kommt die Geographie der Inseln vor,
die in seiner Literatur eine große Rolle spielt. Delgado
versichert jedoch, dass er, obwohl er ständig die
kanarische Landschaft erwähnt, nicht so verwurzelt
ist wie andere. „Das st wohl ein Mangel von mir, denn
ich habe keine Wurzeln. Ich bin jedoch davon
überzeugt, dass wir aus Erinnerungen geformt
werden». Trotz allem gibt es Menschen die sagen, dass
das Vaterland einer Person aus dessen Kindheit
besteht, und in diesem Sinne betont der Autor: „Meine
Kindheit verbrachte ich hier und ich verwende diese
Elemente, weil ich mich an sie erinnere. Ohne
Erinnerungen wären wir nichts. Ich verwende diese
Elemente jedoch nicht aus patriotischer Treue, sondern
aus Treue zu mir selbst und zu meiner Landschaft».
Obwohl der Journalist und Schriftsteller in Faura,
Valencia, lebt, hat er seine Kindheit auf den Kanaren
nicht vergessen. In dem Buch erinnert er sich an diese Epoche, die von der Franco-Diktatur gekennzeichnet

Hauptperson, bevor diese in die Besserungsanstalt
kam und schreibt über die Kindheit der kanarischen
Kinder: «In der grauen Welt der Franco-Diktatur wurde
diese von den Stimmen der Frauen erhellt». Er erzählt:
„Ich bin unter Frauen aufgewachsen und meine
Kindheit war voll von ihren Stimmen. Zuhause
sprachen die Väter wenig, sie waren ausdruckslos; die
Frauen dagegen redeten über alles, was sie taten, sie
erzählten und sangen». Die kanarischen Kinder dieser
Epoche werden in dieser Geschichte durch ihr Leben,
ihre Spiele usw. beschrieben. Fernando gibt zu, dass
er „ein sehr seltsames Kind war, das Priester spielte.
Wir Kinder kamen nicht aus den Kriegen und Kämpfen
heraus, aber das Beichten war lustig».
Im Zusammenhang mit der Epoche erwähnt er auch
die Welt des Missbrauchs und der Belästigungen, die
er mit ansehen musste. „Die Besserungsanstalt, in der
ich arbeitete, war ein ungastlicher Ort, und die Kinder
fanden weder bei ihren Mitschülern noch bei den
Aufsehern oder der Leitung Trost. Die Kinder vertrauten
sich ihrem jungen Lehrer und der Sozialarbeiterin an.
Wir wurden verdächtig, und über mich gab es einen
Aktenvorgang, weil ich nie ein Kind durchfallen ließ.».
Es sind nur Skizzen der zerrütteten Lebensverhältnisse
in Spanien unter Franco. Jetzt, viele Jahre später,
beschwert sich Fernando, dass aus den letzten Berichten
über Zentren für Minderjährige des Bürgerbeauftragten
hervorgeht, dass „in der Demokratie Ähnliches passiert».

LA RED DE SANEAMIENTO DE CASILLAS
DE MORALES
La 2ª Fase de la Red de Saneamiento de Casillas de
Morales supone una inversión de 88.271 euros, que
serán cofinanciados entre el Ayuntamiento, Cabildo y
el Ministerio de Administraciones Públicas. El alcalde
de Antigua Gustavo Berriel, procedió recientemente a
la firma del Plan insular de Cooperación Municipal,
(PIC) por el que se establece la cofinanciación entre
administraciones que permitirán ejecutar próximamente la segunda fase de obra de la Red de Saneamiento de Casillas de Morales.
El PIC establece que este proyecto debe estar adjudicado a una empresa constructora durante este año en
curso, y estar finalizada antes de septiembre del 2010.
Entre las obras que el Ayuntamiento acomete en
estas fechas, se encuentran entre otras, la
Pavimentación y Asfaltado de las aceras de La Orilla,
el Asfaltado de aceras de la Costa de Antigua, la
Remodelación de la Plaza de Antigua, la Pavimentación
de aceras en El Castillo, y la recientemente finalizada
Pavimentación de aceras de La Corte.

COOPERATION PLAN FOR THE SEWAGE
NETWORK IN CASILLAS DE MORALES
The second phase of the sewage network in Casillas de Morales represents an 88.271 euros
investment that will be co-financed between the Ayuntamiento, the Cabildo and the Public Administrations’
Ministry. Antigua’s Mayor, Gustavo Berriel, recently
signed the Island’s Municipal Cooperation Plan, (PIC)
that establishes the co-financing between
administrations and will allow work on the second
phase of the Sewage Network of Casillas de Morales
to start imminently.
The PIC establishes that this project must be handed
over to a builder this year and be completed before
September 2010.
Other projects handled by the Ayuntamiento are
under way at present such as pavements and road
tarmac in La Orilla, road tarmac in Costa de Antigua,
remodelling work of Antigua’s square, road pavements
in El Castillo and recently road pavements were
completed in La Corte.

EL AYUNTAMIENTO ORGANIZA CINE DE

Recientemente comienzó el Ciclo de Cine de Verano que organiza la concejalía de Cultura y que proyectará a las 21:30 horas en distintas localidades del
municipio, sesiones de cine gratuitas para todos los
gustos.
La conocida película ‘El Curioso Caso de Benjamin
Button’ inauguró, en la explanada del antiguo emplazamiento del Camping de Pozo Negro, unas proyecciones de cine al aire libre que se prolongarán hasta
el 10 de septiembre.
La iniciativa surge con el objetivo de dar una opción
alternativa de disfrutar las noches de verano, compartiendo un patio, una plaza, una sala con los vecinos del municipio.

The Ciclo de Cine de Verano (Summer Cinema Cycle),
organised by the Culture Council, recently started and
free movie sessions of all kinds will be organised in
various villages of the Municipality at 9:30 p.m.
The popular film «The Curious Case of Benjamin
Button» inaugurated the event on the old Camp site of
Pozo Negro and outdoors projections will continue until
10th September.
The initiative aims to give alternative choices of
activities for summer nights, sharing a patio, a square,
a room with neighbours of the municipality.

Campingplatzes von Pozo Negro das Freilichtkino, das
bis zum 10. September dauern wird.
Diese Initiative bezweckt eine Alternative für die
Sommernächte zu bieten, indem man mit den
Anwohnern der Gemeinde einen Innenhof, einen Platz
oder einen Vorführungssaal teilt.

PARTICIPAN EN LA MESA SECTORIAL DEL
TURISMO EN FUERTEVENTURA
Turismo Dolores González García participaron en la
Mesa Sectorial del Turismo celebrada el pasado mes
de julio en Fuerteventura.
Durante el debate se resaltó en varias ocasiones el
proyecto piloto que se viene desarrollando en la localidad turística de Caleta de Fuste, con motivo del Proyecto ‘Welcome Family’, pionero en Fuerteventura y
Canarias para valorar en la práctica los resultados de
esta nueva línea promocional del turismo.
Precisamente es Caleta de Fuste el enclave turístico de la Isla que mayor número de convenciones, reuniones y congresos celebró durante el 2008, lo que
propició la iniciativa del Ayuntamiento de impulsar la
propuesta de formar parte del Spain Convention
Bureau, objetivo recientemente cumplido, y celebrado desde el consistorio municipal conjuntamente con

THE MAYOR AND TOURISM COUNCILLOR
PARTICIPATE IN THE ROUND TABLE
CONCERNING TOURISM IN FUERTEVENTURA
Representatives of the Ayuntamiento, of which the
Mayor, Gustavo Berriel Hernández, and Tourism
Councillor, Dolores González García participated in the
Tourism Round Table that took place in July in Fuerteventura.
During the debate, the main project that is being
developed in Caleta de Fuste was mentioned various
times. This pioneering project in Fuerteventura and the
Canaries is called the «Welcome Family» Project and
its actual results are being evaluated.
It is actually in Caleta de Fuste that there were more
conventions, meeting and congresses organised in
2008, which gave the opportunity to the Ayuntamiento to propose to join Spain’s Convention Bureau. This
objective was recently completed and was celebrated
with local businesses, shop owners and hotels of the
Municipality.

Vertreter der Gemeinde, unter diesen der
Bürgermeister, Gustavo Berriel Hernández, und die
Beauftragte für Tourismus, Dolores González García,
nahmen am runden Tisch der Tourismusbranche teil,
der im Juli auf Fuerteventura stattfand.
Während der Diskussion wurde mehrmals das
Pilotprojekt hervorgehoben, das in dem touristischen
Ort Caleta de Fuste durchgeführt wird. Das Projekt
‘Welcome Family’ ist ein bahnbrechend auf Fuerteventura und auf den Kanaren und soll der praktischen
Auswertung der Ergbnisse der neuen Linie der
Promotion des Tourismus dienen.
Caleta de Fuste ist die touristische Enklave der Insel,
wo 2008 die meisten Tagungen, Sitzungen und
Kongresse stattfanden, was die Initiative der
Gemeinde begünstigte, um dem Spain Convention
Bureau beizutreten. Dieses Ziel wurde kürzlich erreicht,
was im Regierungsgebäude der Gemeinde von
Unternehmern, Händlern, Hoteliers und der Gemeinde
gemeinsam gefeiert wurde.
EL AYUNTAMIENTO FINALIZA LA
CONSTRUCCIÓN DE LA ERMITA DE LAS
SALINAS
Representantes del Ayuntamiento, entre ellos su
alcalde, Gustavo Berriel Hernández, y la concejal de
Alcalde y concejales del Ayuntamiento, visitaron junto
a los vecinos de Las Salinas el fin de obras de la construcción de la Ermita, que se inauguró con los oficios
de la procesión en Honor a la Virgen de Carmen.
El paisaje natural del litoral marino del pueblo
pesquero de Las Salinas, tiene ya su propia Ermita
dedicada a Nuestra Señora la Virgen del Carmen.
La primera piedra se colocó el 13 de mayo del 2006,
sin embargo, explicó el alcalde, «el proyecto quedó en el
baúl de los recuerdos, hasta que el actual grupo de Gobierno lo ha retomado y concluido, aportando profesionales, mano de obra y 96.000 euros de financiación.
También la Asociación de Vecinos de Las Salinas logró recaudar cerca de 14.000 euros para apoyar la financiación de una Ermita que venían reclamando desde hace años. Aunque el proyecto de obra, y construcción ha recaído desde el inicio del Proyecto en los Servicios Técnicos municipales, el Ayuntamiento ha contando con la colaboración del artesano José Melián,
que talló y cinceló en madera, la puerta principal de
acceso a la Ermita con referencias al mar, la pesca, y
los viajes que años antes eran obligados y continuos
para los pescadores residentes en Las Salinas.
En una parcela de 162 metros cuadrados se ha construido sobre una superficie de 107 metros la Ermita de
Las Salinas, a la que se accede desde una pequeña
plaza de entrada a la nave principal, donde encontramos la zona pública de los feligreses, y ubicándose en
los laterales los accesos al campanario y a la sacristía.
En el exterior, y adosado a la Ermita de Las Salinas,
se puede acceder a un salón del pueblo de 25 metros
cuadrados destinado al uso y disfrute de los vecinos,
que ya han comenzado a emplearlo para impartir diferentes talleres artesanales en el pueblo.

CONSTRUCTION OF THE CHAPEL IN LAS
SALINAS
The Ayuntamiento’s Mayor, Councillors and habitants
of Las Salinas came to visit the completed Chapel that
was inaugurated with the procession in Honour of Virgen de Carmen.
The natural coastal landscape of the fishing village
of Las Salinas now has its own Chapel dedicated to
Nuestra Señora de Virgen de Carmen.
Work had stated on 13th May 2006, however, as the
Mayor explained, «the project was left aside until the
present Government took it over and completed it by
bringing professionals, labourers and 96.000 euros
of financing».
Furthermore the Neighbours Associations of Las
Salinas managed to collect 14.000 euros in order to
help with the Chapel’s financing that they had been
requesting for years. The project and building work
changed since the beginning of the Project at the
municipal Technical Services and the Ayuntamiento
asked for the collaboration of José Melián who cut and
carved the wooden access door to the Chapel that
makes references to the sea, fishing and trips that,
years ago, resident fishermen of Las Salinas
continuously had to make.
The 107 square metre Chapel was built on a 162
square metre plot, which opens onto a small entrance
main nave that leads onto the parishioners’ public area
and on the sides there are accesses to the bell tower
and the sacristy.
Outside, a 25 square metre public hall has been built
on the side of Las Salinas Chapel, which is destined to
be used by habitants who have started using it for
various handcraft workshops.

Der Bürgermeister und Gemeinderäte der Gemeinde
besuchten zusammen mit den Anwohnern von Las
Salinas den Abschluss der Bauarbeiten der
Wallfahrtkapelle, die mit dem Gottesdienst der
Prozession zu Ehren der Heiligen Jungfrau Virgen de
Carmen eingeweiht wurde.
An der Küste des Fischerdorfes Las Salinas gibt es
nun eine Wallfahrtskapelle, die der Heiligen Jungfrau
Virgen del Carmen geweiht ist.
Der Grundstein wurde am 13. Mai 2006 gelegt. Der
Bürgermeister erklärte jedoch: „das Projekt verzögerte
sich, bis es von der heutigen Regierungsfraktion wieder
aufgenommen und abgeschlossen wurde, die die
Experten, die Arbeitskräfte und eine Finanzierung von
96.000 Euro beisteuerte.
Auch der Bürgerverein von Las Salinas schaffte, es
ungefähr 14.000 Euro einzusammeln, um die
Finanzierung der Wallfahrtskapelle zu unterstützen, die
seit Jahren gefordert wurde. Obwohl der Entwurf und
der Bau von Anfang an von den technischen Diensten
der Gemeinde durchgeführt wurde, war auch der
Kunsthandwerker José Melián daran beteiligt, der das
Holz für die Hauptzugangstür der Kapelle schnitzte und
ausformte, deren Motive mit dem Meer, der Fischerei
und den Reisen zu tun haben, die früher für die Fischer
aus Las Salinas notwendig waren.
Die Wallfahrtskapelle von Las Salinas wurde auf
einem 162 Quadratmeter großen Grundstück auf einer
Fläche von 107 Metern gebaut. Man kommt über einen
kleinen Platz zum Hauptschiff, wo sich der öffentliche
Bereich für die Gemeindemitglieder befindet. Die
Zugänge zum Glockenturm und zur Sakristei befinden
sich an den Seiten.
An das Gebäude der Wallfahrtskapelle ist ein 25
Meter großer Gemeinschaftraum des Dorfes angebaut,
der den Anwohnern zur Verfügung steht und wo unter
anderem verschiedene Kunsthandwerkskurse
stattfinden.

La Romería de Morro Jable en honor a Nuestra Señora la Virgen del Carmen contó este año con mucha
más participación que en otras ediciones, lo que garantizó una bella velada cargada de colorido, carretas
tiradas por animales, numerosas parrandas y grupos
folclóricos, que supieron poner la nota musical a un
evento festivo cargado de tipismo.
Burros majoreros, carretas engalanadas y romeros
y romeras partieron de la zona del Barranco del Ciervo para, entre isas, folías, malagueñas, sorondongos
y otras coplas, amenizar un peregrinar que desembocó en la plaza de la Ermita de San Miguel, donde se
realizó una sentida ofrenda a Nuestra Señora la Virgen del Carmen.
Después, un divertido baile tradicional congregó a

The Procession in Morro Jable in honour of Nuestra
Señora la Virgen del Carmen saw this year many more
participants than in previous years, which guaranteed
a lovely evening full of colours with carts pulled by
animals, many street parties and folkloric groups that
gave a musical tone to a very typical festive event.
Majorero donkeys, decorated carts and pilgrims
shared the area of Barranco del Ciervo to start the
procession with songs and dances until it reached the
square of the San Miguel Chapel where pilgrims made
offerings to Nuestra Señora la Virgen del Carmen.
Then, an enjoyable traditional dance brought
pilgrims, neighbours and tourists together to dance
until the night came with sounds of street bands,
players and singers who congregated in Morro Jable
to participate in this Canarian Celebration.

An der Wallfahrt von Morro Jable zu Ehren der
Heiligen Jungfrau Virgen del Carmen haben dieses Jahr
wesentlich mehr Menschen teilgenommen als in den
vergangen Jahren. Es war ein schönes Fest voller
Farben, Kutschen und Musik- und Folkloregruppen,
die dieses typische Fest musikalisch untermalten.
Esel von Fuerteventura, Kutschen und Pilger zogen
ins Gebiet des Barranco del Ciervo um zwischen Isas,
Folías, Malagueñas, Sorondongos und anderen Liedern
die Wallfahrt musikalisch zu untermalen, die auf dem
Platz der Wallfahrtskapelle von San Miguel endete. Dort
fand eine Opfergabe für die Virgen del Carmen statt.
Danach nahmen Pilger, Anwohner und Touristen an
einer amüsanten Tanzveranstaltung teil. Zur Musik der
guten Musiker und Sänger, die nach Morro Jable
gekommen waren, um das kanarische Fest zu beleben,
wurde bis spät nachts getanzt.

En el marco del conjunto de actos de las Fiestas del
Carmen 2009, la Casa de la Cultura de Morro Jable
acogió la presentación del libro ‘Jandía, más que una
historia, de Claudio Reyero Pérez, texto editado por el
Ayuntamiento de Pájara.
El autor ordena sus memorias, legajos, textos clásicos, documentos, estudios y fotografías para acercar
al lector al colorista viaje que Jandía ha hecho en el
discurrir del tiempo.
Y es que Claudio Reyero echa mano de una factura,

dicho, una vivencia, una foto en blanco y negro, un
recuerdo claro, un recorte de prensa amarillento, y de
lo que sea para ofrecer un crisol de imágenes que

At the occasion of Fiestas del Carmen 2009, the
Culture House of Morro Jable hosted the presentation
of the book «Jandía, más que una historia» (Jandía,
more than a story) of Claudio Reyero Pérez whose text
was edited by Pájara’s Ayuntamiento.
The author shares his memories, legacy, classic
texts, documents, studies and photographs to bring
the reader closer to the colourful trip that Jandía has
made through time.
Claudio Reyero uses an invoice, a contract, a text, a
book, a map, a card, a saying, an experience, a black
and white photo, a memory, a old newspaper cutting,
and whatever he may find to put together an image
and draw Jandía for the reader.
PRÄSENTATION DES BUCHES ‘JANDÍA,
MÁS QUE UNA HISTORIA’
Im Rahmen der Akte der «Fiestas del Carmen 2009»
fand im Kulturzentrum von Morro Jable die
Präsentation des Buches ‘Jandía, más que una historia’ (Jandía, mehr als eine Geschichte) von Claudio
Reyero Pérez statt. Der Text ist von der Gemeinde von
Pájara herausgegeben worden.
Der Autor ordnete seine Erinnerungen, klassische
Texte, Dokumente, Untersuchungen und Fotos, um
dem Leser die Geschichte von Jandía näher zu bringen.
Claudio Reyero verwendet eine Rechnung, eine Akte,
einen Edikt, ein Buch, eine Landkarte, ein Sprichwort,
eine Erfahrung, ein Schwarzweißfoto, eine Erinnerung,
einen vergilbten Zeitungsauschnitt und vieles mehr,
um zu übermitteln, wie es früher in Jandía war.
PÁJARA APUESTA POR UN PROGRAMA DE
MUJER, INTEGRACIÓN Y TOLERANCIA
El Ayuntamiento apuesta por el desarrollo de un programa municipal de Mujer, integración y tolerancia,
cuyos objetivos principales son promocionar la calidad de vida de las vecinas de la localidad, incrementar su participación en la toma de decisiones, fomentar la igualdad e integración en la vida civil y transmitirles valores y actitudes de integración e igualdad.
El programa se desarrollará en todo el municipio e
incidirá específicamente en favorecer la inclusión social de las mujeres que se encuentran en situación de
especial vulnerabilidad, apoyar la participación de
mujeres de cualquier nacionalidad como agentes sociales para el desarrollo del principio de igualdad de
oportunidades e integración, así como prevenir situaciones de violencia de género y atender a quienes sean
víctima de ella.
Otros fines son promover y difundir valores así como
prácticas de actuación basadas en la integración e
igualdad, desarrollar programas educativos para mu-

WOMEN, INTEGRATION AND TOLERANCE
The Ayuntamiento is backing up the development of
a municipal programme for Women, integration and
tolerance, whose objectives are to promote the quality
of life of women from the area, increase their
participation in decision making procedures, promote
equality and integration in civil life and encourage
values and behaviours of integration and equality.
The programme is developed in the whole
municipality and will specifically aim to increase the
involvement in social life of women who are in a
situation of particular vulnerability, back up the
participation of women of any nationality as social
agents for the development of equality of opportunities
and integration, as well as prevent gender violence and
attend its victims.
Other objectives include the promotion of values and
behaviours based on integration and equality,
development of educational programmes for adult
women, that are adapted to their needs and interests
in order to reduce illiteracy and help their incorporation
into cultural life and their insertion or reinsertion in
working and social life.

Die Gemeinde setzt auf die Entwicklung des
Frauenprogramms für Integration und Toleranz, durch
das die Lebensqualität der Anwohnerinnen dieses
Ortes verbessert werden soll. Die Frauen sollen lernen
Entscheidungen zu fällen und sich ins gesellschaftliche
Leben zu integrieren. Außerdem sollen Werte und
Verhaltensweisen gefördert werden, die mit Integration
und Gleichberechtigung zu tun haben.
Das Programm wird in der ganzen Gemeinde
stattfinden und kümmert sich vor alle um die soziale
Integration von besonders benachteiligten Frauen.
Dabei wird gefördert, dass sich Frauen aller
Nationalitäten an der gesellschaftlichen Arbeit für die
Entwicklung von Chancengleichheit und Integration
beteiligen. Außerdem sollen Vorbeugungsmaßnahmen
gegen Gewalt gegen Frauen getroffen und Betreuung
für die Opfer geboten werden.
Durch dieses Programm sollen auch Werte wie
Integration und Gleichberechtigung gefördert und
Bildungsprogramme für erwachsene Frauen angeboten
werden, die an deren Bedürfnissen und Interessen
angepasst werden. Dadurch soll der Analphabetismus
zurückgehen und die Frauen sollen in die Arbeitswelt
und in die Gesellschaft integriert werden.
ABIERTO EL PLAZO DE INSCRIPCIÓN
PARA PARTICIPAR EN EL V FESTIVAL DE
LA CANCIÓN PLAYA DE LA CEBADA
Desde el Ayuntamiento se informa de que ya está
abierto al público el plazo de inscripción para participar
en el V Festival de la Canción Playa de la Cebada, que
se celebrará en Morro Jable el próximo 27 de agosto.
El plazo de inscripción expira el 21 de agosto, y los
interesados pueden formalizar su actuación en el Festival en la sede de la Casa de la Cultura de Morro Jable, o a través de los números telefónicos 928 541
977, 628 014 023 y/o 696 941 126.
El objetivo principal del Festival es la promoción de
nuevos jóvenes valores, que quieran abrirse paso en
el mundo de la canción y la música, por lo que anima
a los interesados e interesadas a su participación en
este evento.
Entre los requisitos necesarios para participar están el ser mayor de 16 años de edad y residir en la
comunidad autónoma de Canarias. Quines cumplan
estos requisitos podrán concurrir a título personal o
como grupo polifónico, de cuatro voces como máximo. Cada participante (individual o colectivo) podrá
interpretar una o dos canciones.
El ganador de esta edición se comprometerá a interpretar el tema galardonado en el marco de la gala
final de la próxima edición del Festival.
La canciones interpretadas, de estilo libre, podrán

podría incluso acompañarse de un solo instrumento
músico llegado el momento de actuar, según las bases del Festival.
La inscripción debe ir acompañada de una grabación del tema (o temas) que el aspirante interpretará
en el Festival. En cuanto a los galardones, este año se
contemplan dos premios; un primero, de 500 euros; y
un segundo, que consiste en un fin de semana para
dos personas en un hotel de cuatro estrellas del Sur
de Fuerteventura.
Llegado el gran momento las interpretaciones serán con música en play-back y voz en directo (excepto
aquellos participantes que opten por presentarse con
algún instrumento), corriendo por cuenta de los aspirantes la obtención grabada de dicho material.
La ganadora de la pasada edición del Festival de la
Canción Playa de la Cebada fue la solista majorera
Lydia Moreno García, que en la IV edición de este concurso interpretó dos canciones: ‘Cabaret’ y ‘María se
bebe las calles’.

The Ayuntamiento announced that the inscription
period has now started for public participations in the
5th Song Festival of Playa de la Cabada that will take
place in Morro Jable on 27th August.
Inscriptions stop on 21st August and those interested
can register at Morro Jable’s Culture House or by calling
928 541 977, 628 014 023 y/o 696 941 126.
The Festival’s Main objective is to promote young
new talents who would like to enter the world of music
and songs.
In order to participate, it is required to be 16 years
old minimum and a resident of the Canary Islands.
Those who qualify can therefore compete on a personal basis or as a group of four voices as a maximum.
Each participant (individual or group) will interpret one
or two songs.
The winner will be required to then interpret their
winning song at the final gala of the Festival’s next
edition.
Songs interpreted can come from known artists or
be the participant’s own song that can also be
accompanied by one instrument according to the
Festival’s conditions.
Inscriptions must be accompanied by a recording of
the song(s) that will be interpreted during the Festival.
As for Prizes, the first one is 500 euros, and the second
one is a weekend for two people in a four star hotel in
the South of Fuerteventura.
Interpretations will be accompanied by play-back
music or a cappella (except for those who wish to be
accompanied by one instrument). Participants are
required to obtain their own music recordings.
Last year’s Song Festival of Playa de la Cebada
winner was the Majorera soloist Lydia Moreno García

Durch das Festival sollen neue Talente gefördert werden,
die sich in der Welt der Lieder und der Musik einen Namen
machen möchten. Deshalb werden Interessierte
aufgefordert, an diesem Event teilzunehmen.
Die Teilnehmer müssen über 16 sein und auf den
Kanaren leben. Wer diese Kriterien erfüllt, kann allein
oder als Mitglied einer maximal vierstimmigen Gruppe
kommen. Jeder Teilnehmer (Individuum oder Gruppe)
kann ein oder zwei Lieder singen.
Der Gewinner dieses Festivals verpflichtet sich, das
preisgekrönte Lied bei der Abschlussveranstaltung des
nächsten Festivals zu singen.
Die Wahl der Lieder steht den Sängern frei. Sie
können von bekannten Autoren oder von den
Teilnehmern selbst sein, die sich bei ihrem Auftritt
sogar selbst auf einem Musikinstrument begleiten
dürfen.
Mit der Anmeldung muss die Aufnahme eines Liedes
(oder Lieder) eingereicht werden, das der Interessierte
bei dem Festival singen möchte. Dieses Jahr werden
zwei Preise vergeben. Der erste Preis ist ein Geldpreis
über 500 Euros und der zweite ein Wochenende für
zwei Personen in einem vier-Sterne-Hotel im Süden von
Fuerteventura.
Die Sänger werden live zu Play-back-Musik singen
(es sei denn sie begleiten sich selbst) und müssen die
Aufnahmen dieses Materials beschaffen.
Im vergangenen Jahr gewann die Solistin aus Fuerteventura Lydia Moreno García den IV. Wettbewerb des
Lieder-Festivals von Playa de la Cebada. Sie sang zwei
Lieder: ‘Cabaret’ und ‘María se bebe las calles’.
FERVOR Y MUCHA PARTICIPACIÓN EN EL
DÍA GRANDE DE LAS FIESTAS DEL
CARMEN EN MORRO JABLE
Varios miles de personas tomaron parte en las ma-
nifestaciones en honor a la patrona de los pescadores y marineros, que cada año supone el colofón a la
fiesta grande de Morro Jable.
Diversas autoridades acompañaron a la imagen de
la Virgen por las calles de Morro Jable, entre las que
se encontraban el presidente del Cabildo de Fuerteventura, Mario Cabrera, el alcalde de Pájara, Rafael
Perdomo Betancor, y consejeros, consejeras y concejales, quienes valoraron positivamente la participación,
por primera vez, de la Banda Municipal de Música de
Pájara, bajo la dirección de Javier Santos.
Las Fiestas en honor a Nuestra Señora del Carmen
2009 de Morro Jable comenzaron el pasado 10 de
julio, y ofrecieron actividades deportivas, de ocio, espectáculos, verbenas, conciertos, romería, actuaciones musicales, velada de humor, con Manolo Vieira,
encuentro de solistas, automovilismo, exhibiciones
varias y otras iniciativas.
Hubo exhibición de cometas, escala en Hi-fi, la presentación del libro ‘Jandía, más que una historia’, de
Claudio Reyero Pérez, distintos torneos de juegos de
mesa, un asadero marinero, fuegos de artificio, festival de mariachis, y una gran velada de lucha canaria,
con ‘puntales’ de reconocido prestigio.

Die Festlichkeiten zu Ehren der Heilgen Jungfrau Nuestra
Señora del Carmen 2009 von Morro Jable begannen am
10. Juli. Es gab Sportveranstaltungen und Freizeitaktivitäten,
Aufführungen, Tanzveranstaltungen, Konzerte, die Wallfahrt,
Auftritte von Musikgruppen, Humorveranstaltungen mit Manolo Vieira, Solistentreffen, Autosport, verschiedene
Ausstellungen und andere Initiativen.
Es gab Ausstellung von Drachen, „Escala en Hi-fi», die
Präsentation des Buches ‘Jandía, más que una historia’ von Claudio Reyero Pérez, verschiedene Turniere für
Gesellschaftsspiele, einen Seemannsbraten, ein
Mariachis-Festival und eine große Veranstaltung für
kanarischen Kampf mit sehr angesehenen Teilnehmern.

DURING THE MAIN DAY OF FIESTAS DEL
CARMEN IN MORRO JABLE
Few thousand people participated in the festivities
organised in honour of fishermen and sailor’s patron
saint, which every year is the high point of Morro Jable’s
great festival.
Various authorities accompanied the Virgin’s image
in the streets of Morro Jable, of which Fuerteventura’s
Cabildo’s president, Mario Cabrera, Pájara’s mayor,
Rafael Perdomo Betancor, and various councillors who
greatly appreciated the participation for the very first
time of Pájara’s Municipal Music Band, directed by
Javier Santos.
The Festivities organised in honour of Nuestra Señora del Carmen 2009 in Morro Jable started on 10th
July and included sport and leisure activities, shows,
open air dances, concerts, processions, musical acts,
a humour evening event with Manolo Vieira,
encounters of soloists, motor racing, various
exhibitions and other initiatives.
Kite exhibitions were also organised, the
presentation of the book «Jandía, more than a story»
of Claudio Reyero Pérez, various tournaments of table
games, a fish barbecue, fireworks, mariachi musicians,
a great Canarian wrestling evening with well known
prestigious athletes.

Tausende nahmen an der Veranstaltung zu Ehren
der Schutzherrin der Fischer und Seemänner teil, die
Jahr für Jahr das große Fest von Morro Jable abschließt.
Mehrere Politiker begleiteten die Statue der heiligen

El Ayuntamiento, desde sus Concejalías de Salud
Pública, Patrimonio y Obras, presentaron el pasado
mes de julio, en el propio recinto mortuorio, la fase de
ampliación del Cementerio de Zurita 1ª Fase, una vez
que en esos días han comenzado las obras que se
estima durarán 8 meses.
Esta acción se enmarca dentro de los fondos de inversión local y alcanza un presupuesto de ejecución
de 726.211,04 €. La duración de los trabajos está
estimada en 8 meses.
La fase que se ejecuta establece el cuerpo central
de la ampliación del Cementerio, con los paseos y la
lámina de agua. Se crearán 560 nichos y 111
columbarios, para depositar las urnas con las cenizas
del fallecido si se optara por esta forma de enterramiento. El proyecto contempla también la creación de
una capilla, aseos, floristería, etc.
El Concejal de Salud Pública señalaba al respecto que
«La superficie existente rondaba los 4.500m² de extensión que, con la incorporación de la fase actual, estaríamos hablando de un recinto de más de 12.000 m².
EXTENSION OF THE FIRST PHASE OF
ZURITA’S CEMETERY IS NOW INITIATED
The Ayuntamiento and the Councils of Public Health,
Heritage and Projects presented in July the extension
project of the first phase of Zurita’s Cemetery, which
should be completed after 8 months of building work.
This project is included in the local investment funds
and represents 726.211,04 euros.

This phase includes work on the central main area of
the Cemetery, including paths and water network. 560
niches will be created and 111 columbariums, where urns
containing ashes are deposited. The project also includes
the creation of a funeral chapel, toilets and florist.
The Public Health Council announced that «the
existing surface represents 4.500 m² that will now be
extended to 12.000 m² with this extension».
1. PHASE DER ERWEITERUNG DES
FRIEDHOFS VON ZURITA - BEGINN DER
BAUARBEITEN
Die Ämter für öffentliche Gesundheit, Kulturerbe und
Bauarbeiten der Gemeinde präsentierten im Juli die
erste Phase der Erweiterung des Friedhofs Zurita. Die
Bauarbeiten haben in diesen Tagen begonnen und
werden 8 Monate dauern.
Dieser Eingriff gehört zu den örtlichen Investitionsfonds
und kostet 726.211,04 €. Man geht davon aus, dass die
Arbeiten 8 Monate dauern werden.
In der derzeitigen Phase wird der zentrale Körper des
Friedhofs mit den Wegen und der Bewässerung
festgesetzt. Es werden 560 Grabnischen und 111
Kolumbarien geschaffen, in die man die Urnen mit der
Asche der Verstorbenen legen kann, wenn man diese
Art von Begräbnis bevorzugt. Im Rahmen des Projektes
wird auch der Bau einer Kapelle, von Toiletten, eines
Blumengeschäftes usw. ins Auge gefasst. Der Beauftragte
für öffentliche Gesundheit erklärte: «Die heutige Fläche
ist ungefähr 4.500m² groß, nach Abschluss dieser Phase
wird sie mehr als 12.000 m² groß sein».
EL BARRIO DE LOS POZOS YA LUCE
NUEVO ALUMBRADO
A finales del pasado mes de julio el Ayuntamiento
puso en marcha desde la C/ Puerto Cabras, esquina
con la C/ Cosco, los 117 nuevos puntos de luz contemplados en la presente fase de alumbrado del barrio de Los Pozos, que incluye las vías comprendidas
entre las calles Puerto Cabras hasta la calle Duero y
desde la C/ Secundino Alonso hasta la Autovía del Sur.
Este paso supone un cambio importante para una zona
que ha experimentado no sólo un gran desarrollo poblacional sino comercial, deportivo y de ocio.
La presente acción comprende la instalación de 117
nuevas luminarias, 90 de ellas de 4 m de altura y 27
de 10 metros. Todas tienen una potencia de 150 w y
están dotadas de reductor de flujo para el ahorro energético y un dispositivo que facilita su telegestión, además de cumplir la normativa europea en lo relativo a
contaminación lumínica.

STREET LIGHTING
At the end of July the Ayuntamiento started work from
Calle Puerto Cabras at the corner of Calle Cosco with
the installation of 117 new street lights within the street
lighting Project for the area of Los Pozos that includes
various streets between Calle Puerto Cabras until Calle Duero and from Calle Secundino Alonso until Autovía del Sur. This phase represents a great change for
this area that has experienced an important
development of population as well as an increase in
the number of shops, sports and leisure facilities.
The project includes the installation of 117 street
lights of which 9 are 4 metres high and 27 are 10
metres high. They all have a 150 w capacity and are
equipped with energy saving devices, a system of telemanagement and comply with European light
contamination norms.

Ende Juli nahm die Gemeinde von der Kreuzung der
Straßen C/ Puerto Cabras und la C/ Cosco die 117
neuen Lichtquellen in Betrieb, die für diese Phase der
Beleuchtung des Stadtteils Los Pozos vorgesehen
waren. Dazu gehören mehrere Straßen zwischen der
Calle Puerto Cabras bis zur Calle Duero und von der
Calle Secundino Alonso bis zur Autostraße Süden. Dies
ist ein bemerkenswerter Fortschritt in einer Gegend,
die nicht nur ein großes Bevölkerungswachstum
erlebte, sondern auch eine große Entwicklung des
Geschäftsviertels, des Sportbereichs und der
Freizeitmöglichkeiten.
Zu diesem Eingriff gehört das Aufstellen der 117

SOLICITUDES
El Departamento de Servicios Sociales del Ayuntamiento ha atendido a 2.055 personas demandantes
de algún tipo de ayuda entre el 01 de enero y el 23 de
junio de 2009.
Las demandas aprobadas que contemplan la activación de una partida económica alcanzaron la cifra de
459, estando en trámite unas 346 y denegadas 121,
de un total de 948 solicitudes valoradas. Este capítulo
supone un desembolso económico para el Ayuntamiento en función de su capacidad presupuestaria y de aportaciones de otras administraciones, de unos
103.444,45 € en estos primeros 6 meses del año.
SOCIAL SERVICES ATTEND OVER TWO
THOUSAND REQUESTS
The Ayuntamiento’s Social Services’ Department
attended 2.055 demands for assistance between 1st
January and 23rd July 2009. 459 demands were
approved for financial help, 346 are still being assessed
and 121 were denied out of 948 assessed requests.
This chapter economically represents 103.444,45 euros
of the Ayuntamiento’s budget and incomes from other
Administrations for the first 6 months of this year.
To those requests, are also added responses to other
demands of services available at the Municipal
Department of Social Services such as services of help
at home, tele-assistance, requests of family regrouping,
dealing with various lines of assistance with other
entities, to name a few.

Von 948 ausgewerteten Anträgen wurde 459 Anträgen
irgendeine finanzielle Unterstützung bewilligt, 346 werden
zurzeit bearbeitet und 12 wurden abgelehnt. Dies
bedeutet für die Gemeinde in diesen ersten 6 Monaten
des Jahres Zahlungen von 103.444,45 € aus ihrem
Haushalts und den Zuschüsse anderer Verwaltungen.
Dazu kommt die Antwort auf andere Anträge, durch
die die vom Zentrum für Soziales der Gemeinde
angebotenen Leistungen beantragt werden. Dazu
gehören unter anderem Hilfen zuhause, Teleassistenz,
Anträge für Familienzusammenführung und die
Erledigung der Formalitäten, um bestimmte Hilfen von
anderen Einrichtungen zu erhalten.

La joven de 17 años Elisabeth Puertas Martín, resultó elegida reina de las Fiestas en honor a Nuestra
Señora del Carmen. Daniela Rincón Herrera, de 16
años, recogió dos títulos, Miss Elegancia y primera
dama de honor. Por su parte, Jennifer Alcalde Machín,
de 24 años, también se hizo con dos títulos, el de segunda dama de honor y el de Miss Fotogenia.
Ainoa Balaguer dirigió la puesta en escena de las
candidatas a todos los títulos y los maestros de ceremonia fueron Agustín Santana y Gema Ibáñez. La Gala
de Elección de la Reina Adulta contó con las actuaciones de los grupos coreográficos Kilmilleisi (El Cotillo),
Show Dance (Gran Tarajal) y las ganadoras del Festival de la Canción de la Candelaria: Florencia, Helen y
Cathaysa. Y sobre las doce de la noche comenzó la
verbena, con Guajavi y Grupo Mambo.

17 year old Elisabeth Puertas Martín was voted Queen
of the Fiestas organised in honour of Nuestra Señora
del Carmen. 16 year old Daniela Rincón Herrera got two
titles of Miss Elegance and Lady-in-waiting. Jennifer Alcalde Machín, who is 24 years old, also got two titles
with second Lady-in-waiting and Miss Photogenic.
Ainoa Balaguer managed the staging of candidates
and Agustín Santana and Gema Ibáñez were Ceremony
masters. The Gala organised for the Queen’s election
included shows from choreography groups: Kilmilleisi
from El Cotillo and Show Dance from Gran Tarajal; as
well as participations from Florencia, Helen y Cathaysa
who were the Candelaria Song Festival winners. The
open air dance then started at midnight accompanied
with Guajavi and Grupo Mambo.

de la Canción de la Candelaria» auf: Florencia, Helen und
Cathaysa. Gegen Mitternacht begann die
Tanzveranstaltung mit Guajavi und der Gruppe Mambo.

La romería de la Virgen celebrada el pasado mes de
julio en Corralejo congregó a una gran cantidad de
ciudadanos y visitantes a lo largo de su recorrido. La
romería estuvo amenizada por las agrupaciones
folclóricas 3ª Edad Fuerteventura Norte, Dunas de
Corralejo, La Oliva, Malpey de Villaverde, El Tostón y
Gaida (Lanzarote). A su término, tras las ofrendas, se
celebró el Gran Baile de Cuerdas, que contó con la
actuación de las parrandas El Golpito, El Norte, Gaida,
Son Majorero y Fayagua.

The procession of La Virgen that took place in July in
Corralejo brought many habitants and visitors together
in Corralejo. The procession was animated by folkloric
groups of 3ª Edad Fuerteventura Norte, Dunas de Corralejo, La Oliva, Malpey de Villaverde, El Tostón and
Gaida (Lanzarote). At the end, after the offerings, the
Great Cuerdas Dance started which was animated by
street bands of El Golpito, El Norte, Gaida, Son Majorero and Fayagua.

Bei der Wallfahrt der Virgen, die im Juli in Corralejo
stattfand, versammelten sich zahlreiche Bürger und
Touristen. Sie wurde von den Senioren-Folkloregruppen
aus Fuerteventura-Nord, Dunas de Corralejo, La Oliva,
Malpey de Villaverde, El Tostón und Gaida (Lanzarote)
begleitet. Zum Schluss fand nach den Opfergaben die
große Tanzveranstaltung „Baile de Cuerdas» statt, wo
die Gruppen El Golpito, El Norte, Gaida, Son Majorero
und Fayagua auftraten.

«Aquí puede recoger del gallinero los
huevos de su desayuno»
Seguramente al leer nuestro reportaje ya conoce
el sol y las preciosas playas de Fuerteventura, pero
¿conoce realmente Fuerteventura?, qué sabe de
sus costumbres, sus tradiciones, su agricultura, su
ganadería su arquitectura tradicional, etc. En una
sola frase ¿conoce su vida rural?
Para saber más sobre todos estos temas, y ampliar el conocimiento de la isla en nuestros visitantes, ha nacido ya hace algún tiempo el turismo rural. Es otra opción muy diferente, para disfrutar vacaciones en Fuerteventura y queremos que en esta
entrevista con José Santana y Magdalena López,
podamos aprender mucho más.
¿Pueden explicarnos qué es el agroturismo y en
que se diferencia de otros tipos?
Es la posibilidad de vivir en el campo en plena
naturaleza, con la paz y silencio que caracteriza el
interior, con absoluta libertad de moverse libremente, de sentirse como en su casa.
¿Qué le ofrece a un turista este tipo de turismo?
Diferentes actividades en función de lo que desee. Hay que diferenciar entre hotel rural y casa rural
y para hacer notar estas diferencias nosotros hemos llamado a nuestra instalación «Agroturismo La
Gayria», que es la forma en que es llamado en Italia
el turismo rural. El agroturismo o casa rural de campo, es turismo de naturaleza, donde el visitante está
lejos del turismo de masa y en contacto con la agricultura, la ganadería, el paisaje del entorno, etc. Y
al mismo tiempo tiene todas las comodidades ne-
cesarias tales, como piscina, horno de pan, barbacoa al aire libre donde podrá cocinar si lo desea
sus platos preferidos o recoger del gallinero directamente los huevos de su desayuno y prepararlos
dentro de su casa independiente y con todos los
servicios, en la que al abrir las ventanas vivirá la
naturaleza y la vida auténtica de los habitantes de
la isla.
También puede participar si lo desea en las labores agrícolas, ver como se siembra o se recolecta según la estación, ordeñar las cabras, etc., y degustar los frutos del lugar en cada temporada.
¿Y que otras alternativas tienen en Agroturismo
La Gayria para disfrutar las vacaciones?
Muchas, tales como hacer senderismo, visitar la
caldera de la Gayria, monumento natural, montar
en bicicleta, pasear a caballo o con nuestros burros autóctonos, (que están en peligro de extinción
y que nosotros estamos criando), rutas arquitectónicas, molino de Tiscamanita, rutas gastronómicas, visitas a fábricas de productos tradicionales y

artesanales, como las queserías, etc. Todas estas
opciones se las facilitamos según sus deseos.
¿Qué tipo de turista busca más este tipo de
turismo?
Preferentemente el italiano, luego el español, nosotros recibimos habitualmente parejas, o incluso
familias completas de grandes capitales
como Barcelona y Madrid y seguido el francés y el
alemán son los que más demandan estos lugares.
También tenemos familias completas que vienen
desde otras islas y curiosamente muchas personas
que pasan su fin de semana junto a sus hijos y a
veces nietos o celebran fechas concretas, vienen
desde la capital Puerto del Rosario. Son personas
que buscan de nuevo el contacto con la vida tranquila y natural o quieren mostrar a sus más pequeños otras formas de vida menos agitadas.
Curiosamente en otras islas como La Palma se
conoce más este tipo de turismo...
Sí, lo que pasa es que Fuerteventura se ha dado
a conocer como turismo de sol y playa y no se ha
diversificado la oferta turística, como lo han hecho
en otras islas del archipiélago. Nosotros tenemos
un eslogan que dice «Fuerteventura más que sol y
playa, también existe el turismo rural».
¿Tienen más casas rurales?
Sí, además de estas tres de Tiscamanita, tamPUBLIREPORTAJE
bién tenemos otras cuatro en Tuineje. En las casas
de Tuineje hemos acondicionado algunas para poder ser usadas por personas discapacitadas.
¿El servicio de limpieza, y ropas está incluido?
Damos el servicio que el cliente nos solicita, por
descontado el cambio de sábanas y toallas, pero la
limpieza, depende de los deseos de cada visitante.
Vemos que las casas están ambientadas con
todas las comodidades, pero al mismo tiempo
sin perder el sabor de casas antiguas donde sus
muros, sus muebles, su decoración interior y
exterior guardan el sabor de una época.
Sí, hemos procurado que los aperos tradicionales de labranza sean parte de la decoración, sobre
todo para que no se pierda el aspecto de casa rural. Por cierto queremos hacer hincapié en que
somos los primeros en montar unas instalaciones
de agroturismo en Fuerteventura y de Canarias, con
el fin de distinguirnos de otro tipo de oferta rural.

You surely already know Fuerteventura’s sunny
weather and its beautiful beaches, but do you really
know Fuerteventura? What do you know of its
customs, traditions, agriculture, livestock farming,
traditional architecture, etc? In a word, what do you
know about its rural lifestyle?
In order to find out more about those subjects
and increase visitors’ knowledge about the island,
rural tourism was created a little while back. It is a
very different way of enjoying holidays in Fuerteventura and we aim to learn a lot more about it through
this interview with José Santana and Magdalena
López.
Can you explain what agro-tourism is and what
makes it different from other types of tourism?
It is about having the opportunity to live in the
countryside, in the peace and quiet that it
represents and with absolute freedom to wonder
around and feel at home.
What does this type of tourism offer tourists?
It offers different activities according to what
people look for. There are differences between rural hotel and rural home and in order to highlight
those differences we have called our facilities «Agroturismo La Gayria», which is what rural tourism is
called in Italy. Agro-tourism or countryside rural
home mean nature tourism, where visitors are away
from mass tourism and in contact with agriculture,
livestock farming, the surrounding landscape, etc.
And at the same time it offers all the required facilities such as a swimming pool, bread oven,
barbecue area where visitors can cook their
favourite dishes or get their breakfast eggs direct
from the hen house and prepare them inside their
fully fitted independent accommodation, where they
can open their windows on the countryside and the
authentic lifestyle of the island’s habitants.
Furthermore, if they wish they can participate in
farming activities, see how to sow a field, or harvest

They tend to be Italian mainly then Spanish; we
tend to welcome couples or families from main cities
such as Barcelona and Madrid and then French and
German tourists. We also welcome families from

taste the local fruits of the season.
What other alternatives does Agro-tourism La
Gayria offer visitors to enjoy their holidays?
other islands and curiously many people from Puerto del Rosario who come and spend their weekends
together with their children or grandchildren or for
some special occasion. Those people are looking for
a different, quiet and natural lifestyle or wish to show
young ones another way of life which is less hectic.
Curiously this type of tourism is better known on
other islands such as La Palma...
That is true, what happens is that Fuerteventura
is mostly known for sun and beach tourism and
hasn’t diversified its tourism offer as they have done
on other islands. We have a motto that says «Fuerteventura is more than sun and beaches, it also
offers rural tourism».
Do you have other rural homes?
Yes, in addition to those three in Tiscamanita, we
have four in Tuineje. The houses of Tuineje are
equipped so that they can accommodate disabled
persons.
Is the cleaning and bedding change included?
We provide the service that the client requires, of
course including changes of bedding and towels,
but as for the cleaning it depends on visitors wishes.
We can see that the houses include all modern
facilities but without loosing the ambiance of
old homes where the walls, furniture, interior
and exterior decorating have kept the feel of
past times.
Yes, we made sure that coarse farming traditions
are part of the decoration, mainly to keep that rural
home aspect. Of course we want to emphasise on
the fact that we are pioneers in setting up agrotourism facilities in Fuerteventura and in the

There are many activities, such as hiking, visit the
natural monument of the Gayria valley, go cycling,
horse riding or ride our indigenous donkeys (that
are in danger of extinction), visit the architectural
routes, the mill of Tiscamanita, the gastronomic
routes, the traditional and handcraft workshops,
such as cheese farms, etc. Those are all available
according to their preferences.

Vor einiger Zeit wurde der ländliche Tourismus
entwickelt, damit unsere Besucher mehr über diese Themen erfahren und die Insel besser
kennenlernen. Es ist eine ganz andere Möglichkeit,
Ferien auf Fuerteventura zu machen und wir hoffen,
dass wir in diesem Interview mit José Santana und
Magdalena López noch mehr darüber erfahren.
Können Sie uns erklären, was der
Agrotourismus ist und wodurch er sich von
anderen Arten des Tourismus unterscheidet?
Er bietet die Möglichkeit, auf dem Land mitten in
der Natur zu leben, mit dem Frieden und der Stille,
die für das Binnenland der Insel typisch sind. Die
Besucher haben die Freiheit überall hinzugehen, wo
sie wollen und sich wie zuhause zu fühlen.
Was bietet diese Art des Tourismus den
Touristen?
Wir bieten je nach Wunsch des Besuchers
verschiedene Aktivitäten. Es gibt einen Unterschied
zwischen einem Landhotel und einer Unterkunft in
einem Landhaus, deshalb haben wir unsere
Einrichtung «Agroturismo La Gayria» genannt, so
wird der ländliche Tourismus auch in Italien
genannt. Der Agrotourismus oder Urlaub auf dem
Bauernhof ist ein Tourismus in der Natur, wo der
Besucher weit weg vom Massentourismus ist und
Kontakt zur Landwirtschaft, Viehzucht und zur
Landschaft hat. Gleichzeitig gibt es sämtlichen
Komfort wie Schwimmbad, Brotofen, einen Grill im
Freien, wo Sie Ihre Lieblingsgerichte kochen können,
wenn Sie dies wünschen oder Sie können Ihre
Frühstückseier direkt im Hühnerstall abholen und
in Ihrem unabhängigen Haus zubereiten. Dort
haben Sie allen Komfort, aber wenn Sie die Fenster
öffnen, erleben Sie die Natur und das authentische
Leben der Einheimischen.
Wenn Sie wollen können Sie sich auch an den
landwirtschaftlichen Arbeiten wie Saat und Ernte
beteiligen (je nach Saison), die Ziegen melken oder
das typische Obst der Saison kosten.
Welche Alternativen gibt es noch im „Agroturismo La Gayria», um die Ferien zu genießen?
Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten, man kann wandern,
den Krater von Gayria, ein Naturmonument,
besuchen, Fahrrad fahren, auf Pferden oder auf
unseren einheimischen Eseln reiten, (diese Tiere
sind vom Aussterben bedroht und wir züchten sie),
man kann architektonische Routen, die Mühle von
Tiscamanita und gastronomische Routen erkunden,
Fabriken besuchen, wo handgemachte traditionelle
Produkte hergestellt werden, wie Käsereien usw. Wir
können dies alles für Sie organisieren.
Welche Art von Urlaubern suchen nach dieser
Art des Tourismus?
Vor allem Italiener, die Spanier stehen an zweiter
Stelle. Normalerweise kommen Paare oder ganze
Familien aus Großstädten wie Barcelona und Madrid. Gleich danach kommen die Franzosen und die
Deutschen. Dies sind die Touristen, bei denen die
größte Nachfrage besteht. Aber es kommen auch
ganze Familien von anderen Inseln. Es ist
interessant, dass viele Leute, die hier ihr
Wochenende mit ihren Kindern und manchmal auch
mit ihren Enkelkindern verbringen oder bestimmte
Anlässe feiern, aus der Hauptstadt Puerto del Rosario kommen. Es sind Leute, die wieder Kontakt
zum ruhigen und natürlichen Leben suchen oder
ihren Kindern andere ruhigere Lebensformen zeigen
möchten.

Cirugía estética: ¿un cambio de imagen?

La cirugía estética ha dejado de ser una moda pasajera para asentarse en nuestro país. Y es que hay
que tener en cuenta que España ya se sitúa a la cabeza en la UE en este tipo de operaciones. La rinoplastia
o cirugía de la nariz y el aumento de mamas encabezan las operaciones de estética más demandadas.
Con 300.000 intervenciones al año, España es el
país de la Unión Europea donde más operaciones de
cirugía estética se practican. Esta cifra nos sitúa a la
cabeza de Europa en número de operaciones, con un
crecimiento anual del 15%. Recomendamos que antes de hacer un cambio de imagen, la persona esté
muy convencida de lo que quiere y elija un centro profesional y acreditado con especialistas en distintas
ramas de actividad.
CUESTIÓN DE NARICES
Entre las diferentes operaciones estéticas más de
moda, la rinoplastia u operación de la nariz, es, después del aumento de pecho, la más solicitada por
pacientes en las clínicas y hospitales aptos para realizar este tipo de intervenciones. Todos queremos una
nariz pequeña, envidiable, deseosa, pero que sea lo
más natural posible. Esto es lo que difunde la Asociación Española de Cirugía Plástica, Reparadora y Esté-
tica, Secpre, que define la cirugía de la nariz para corregir deformidades de nacimiento o traumáticas y

Por su parte, Aecep, la Asociación Española de Cirugía Estética y Plástica, afirma que una rinoplastia es
«un procedimiento altamente individualizado». Así,
existe una gran variabilidad entre las personas en
cuanto a la forma de la cara, la estructura de la nariz,
el tipo de piel, etc. Como consecuencia cada paciente
tiene unas necesidades y, por tanto, un tipo de cirugía
distinto.
UNAS MAMAS PERFECTAS
El aumento de pecho, también conocido como
mamoplastia de aumento, es un procedimiento quirúrgico que trata de mejorar el tamaño y la silueta del
busto femenino. En la actualidad, hay varios tipos legalizados de prótesis de mama.
Todas las prótesis están formadas por una bolsa
hecha de silicona y su contenido puede ser de gel de
silicona, de suero fisiológico o de gel de silicona cohesivo. En cuanto a la forma existen dos tipos. Las clásicas tienen forma redonda, las anatómicas tienen forma similar al pecho y proporcionan resultados estéticamente más perfectos.

genéticamente), e injertarlo en las partes afectadas
por la caída del cabello.
Una vez injertado y tras un período de 3 a 5 meses,
el cabello inicia un crecimiento de 1cm al mes, como
el resto del pelo. Este tratamiento es absolutamente
indoloro y se practica bajo anestesia local y sedación;
pueden necesitarse más de una sesión en función del
grado de extensión de la alopecia.

Breast augmentation, also known as augmentation
mammoplasty, is a surgery that aims to improve the
size and shape of women’s breasts. Nowadays there
are various legal types of breast implants.
All implants are made of a silicon pouch that can
contain silicon gel, saline implants or cohesive silicone
gel. There are two shapes available: the classic shape
is round, and the anatomical or teardrop shape is more
similar to a breast and brings more perfect aesthetic
results.
GOOD PHYSICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL HEALTH
In order to undergo plastic surgery, the person must
be both physically and psychologically healthy. The
surgeon will carry out extensive tests of the problem
area and will speak with the patient about the desired
surgery and results and about their self-confidence.

Mensch zu Mensch anders. Folglich muss jeder
Mensch unterschiedlich behandelt werden,
infolgedessen variiert der chirurgische Eingriff,
wodurch sich der chirurgische Eingriff ändert.
PERFEKTE BRÜSTE
Die Brüstvergrößerung, die auch Mamoplastik
genannt wird, ist ein chirurgisches Verfahren, um die
Größe und die Silhouette des weiblichen Oberkörpers

Diese Pflanze wird selten als Medizin verwendet,

Das Sammeln der wild wachsenden Pflanzen kann
vor allem zu Parasitose oder Hepatitis A führen. Man

Watercress is a remedy to alopecia and for minor
bruising. Fresh watercress juice can be applied locally
with a slight friction as a tonic for the scalp and to

recovery of hematomas when applied crushed on the

más como alimento en ensaladas y más frecuente aún
en las Islas Canarias como elemento indispensable
del clásico «potaje de berros», muy apreciado en la
mesa de pobres y de menos pobres, se prepara con
judías blancas, papas y alguna otra verdura; se acompaña en la mesa con gofio y queso.
DESCRIPCIÓN
Herbácea, rastrera; de tallos redondos, lisos, acanalados y tiernos; hojas de color verde oscuro, compuestas de varias hojuelas; florecillas blancas, unidas
varias de ellas al terminar el tallo. Su sabor es picante
y agrio pero agradable.

PRECAUCIONES
La recolección silvestre sobretodo puede ser causa
de parasitosis o de hepatitis A. Conviene limpiarlos muy
bien, incluso poner en remojo con unas gotas de lejía.
Consumido en mucha cantidad y durante mucho
tiempo puede causar irritación gástrica, intestinal y
renal. Contraindicado en caso de gastritis o úlceras
digestivas y también en caso de inflamación renal.
No dar a embarazadas en dosis que excedan la alimentación común. No dar en cantidad a niños menores de 4 años.

Los berros como remedio antialopecia y para contusiones menores
- El jugo de berros frescos es posible aplicarlo localmente con una suave fricción como tónico del cuero
cabelludo o para tratar las manchas oscuras de la piel.
- También en aplicación tópica, tradicionalmente, en los
pequeños accidentes como contusiones o golpes resultaba apropiado para mejorar la evolución del hematoma
colocar sobre la lesión un emplasto de berros machacados mediante una gasa sujetada con una venda.
