PRO-LIFE CORNER - Regarding abortion: No matter what the motive, unless she repents, the woman who commits the deed will be burdened by her conscience in life and it will burden her soul in death; But oh, thrice guilty is he who drove her to the desperation which impelled her to the crime!" PLEASE SUPPORT OUR BULLETIN ADVERTISERS! FAVOR APOYAR A NUESTROS PATROCINADORES! FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK Dear Parishioners, We celebrate today the Solemnity of Corpus Cristi or the Body and Blood of Christ. We celebrate Jesus’ priceless gift of himself to us in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Each Mass, Jesus invites us to his table and feeds us with his Body and Blood which nourishes us spiritually, physically and in ways that is redemptive beyond our comprehension. Jesus gives us his Body and Blood in order to strengthen us as members of his Holy People, the Church. We read in the Catechism #1323 a description of the Body and Blood of Christ, called the Eucharist which means thanksgiving and good gift. The gift of the Body and Blood of Christ is described as, “…, a memorial of his death and resurrection: a sacrament of love, a sign of unity, a bond of charity, a Paschal banquet 'in which Christ is consu med, the mind is filled with grace, and a pledge of future glory is given to us.” Again what a wonderful evidence of God’s continuous love for us. Last Sunday we contemplated the awesome revelation of the Trinity and this Sunday the church invites us to be conscious that God places his awesome, limitless self before us to be consumed in Holy Communion. Thanks be to God. Rev. Demos gracias a Dios.
