Registering for the First Time: Parents of students
MUST bring both the birth and baptismal certificates
of their children. If the child has already received First
Communion, the parent must also bring proof of this.
All of these requirements apply even if the
sacraments were received in this parish. They do
not apply to students who are re-registering.
NOTE: Parents of students advancing to Grade 7,
8 or Prep 6 will register in the summer, but must
return in September to meet with the Religious Ed
Director to receive Confirmation Requirement
forms and information. These interviews are
mandatory; students in these grades cannot begin
classes unless their parents have met with the
director.
Tuition must be paid at the time of registration. The
tuition fee for the school year 2015-2016 will be the
same as last year.

OUTREACH CENTER
Raffle tickets for our two special feast drawings
are now on sale. In the first drawing only 200
tickets are sold for $100 each - and the Grand
Prize is $10,000. In the second drawing only
200 tickest are sold for $50 each - and the Grand
Prize is $5000. Tickets go fast! If you would like
to purchase any tickets you may do so at the
Rectory.

“He instructed them to take nothing for the journey
but a walking stick—no food, no sack, no money in
their belts. They were, however, to wear sandals but
not a second tunic” (Mark 6:7-13).
No second tunic? And only one pair of sandals? Does
Jesus know what our closets look like? When I clean
mine out, bags and bags are donated to various
charities, hangers get crossed and hooked onto
everything. It is not a pretty sight. And once again I
am reminded what it takes to be a disciple of Jesus:
very little in the way of material things and a whole lot
of grace.
Our Outreach Center has a beautiful boutique that
several people take great pains to organize to make it
easier for the people we serve to take a few pieces. We
especially need toddler clothes for girls sizes 2T-5T, so
if you know of someone who has outgrown hers,
please keep us in mind.
Our pantry needs this week are: peanut butter, jelly,
dry cereal, canned tuna fish and as always, toilet
paper, and shampoo.

What is the Defensive Driving Course?
This 6-Hour course is presented by the National
Safety Council-certified instructors, who offer a new
approach to learning accident prevention skills.
You’ll receive a course guide to use in class and to
keep for future reference. This course is great for
new drivers and experienced drivers.

El verano es el tiempo donde la mayoría de la gente tiene
la oportunidad de tomar vacacionees. “Vacaciones” es un
término que tiene su raíz en la palabra latina “vacare”, que
significa no ocupado. como la escuela, o el trabajo. Le da
a la persona un tiempo específico para descansar de sus
labores.
¿Y qué hay de tus vacaciones? ¿Este año qué harás? Ir a
Misa nos es una mala idea. Ciertamente no tomemos vacaciones de la Misa dominical durante este verano. Jesús
nunca tomó vacaciones cuando estaba cargando la cruz por
nosotros. ¿Cómo dejar de ser fieles a la Eucaristía? ¿Cómo
podemos detenernos para demostrar nuestra gratitud por lo
que El hizo por nosotros?

KURS BEZPIECZNEJ JAZDY SAMOCHODEM
Kurs odbędzie się w naszej Parafii Matki Bożej
Wniebowziętej w sobotę 25 lipca, w godz: 8:30-15:00,
w budynku Biura Pomocy Socjalnej.
Koszt kursu wynosi $45. Prosimy o wypisywanie
czeków na naszą parafię -OLA. Zapisy w kancelarii

Pielgrzymkę do Sanktuarium Matki Bożej Częstochowskiej w Doylestown w Pennsylvanii, w dniach
od 6 do 9 sierpnia tego roku. Osoby, które zapiszą się
drogą internetową przed 25 lipca, uzyskają zniżki od

Zapisy będą odbywać się w dniach:
od wtorku 18 sierpnia do czwartku 27 sierpnia.
Zapisy prowadzone będą w biurze Centrum Edukacji Religijnej we wtorki, środy i czwartki w następujących godzinach:
-wtorki: 10:00-13:00,
-środy: 15:00-19:30,
-czwartki: 13:00-17:00.
W przypadku zapisów uczniów nowych (zapisywanych po raz pierwszy): Rodzice uczniów MUSZĄ
przynieść ze sobą Metrykę Chrztu Dziecka oraz jego
Akt Urodzenia. Jeżeli dziecko przyjęło już sakrament
Eucharystii (Pierwsza Komunia Św.), to wówczas
prosimy o przyniesienie zaświadczenia potwierdzajacego przyjęcie tego sakramentu.
Wszystkie powyższe wymagania muszą być
spełnione nawet jeżeli dziecko otrzymało sakramenty w naszej parafii. Nie dotyczą one uczniów
zapisywanych ponownie (tj. kontynuujących naukę
w naszym programie).
UWAGA: Rodzice uczniów rozpoczynających
naukę w klasach VII, VIII oraz Prep 6 zapisujący
swoje dzieci latem, muszą we wrześniu spotkać się
z dyrektorem Programu Edukacji Religijnej, aby
otrzymać listę wymagań dotyczących sakramentu
Bierzmowania i potrzebne informacje. Spotkania te
są obowiązkowe. Uczniowie, których rodzice nie
spotkali się z dyrektorem, nie mogą rozpocząć
nauki .
Opłaty za naukę należy uiścić podczas dokonywania zapisów. Będą one takie same jak w roku ubiegłym.
Wysokość opłat:
- za 1 dziecko: $ 120
- za dwoje lub wiecej dzieci: $ 150
- Pierwsza Komunia Święta (klasa II) : $50
(tj. opłata za fotografa i materiały
przygotowawcze)
- Bierzmowanie (klasa VIII i Prep 6): $85
(opłata za materiały, rekolekcje,
strój na uroczystość)

“That we may exist for the praise of his glory”
If you have ever questioned the purpose
of your life, today’s second reading from St.
Paul’s letter to the Ephesians holds your answer!
God chose us in Christ “before the foundation of
the world . . . that we may exist for the praise
of his glory”.
Sometimes in translation Saint Paul
becomes a bit wordy, but I urge you to reread
this selection, concentrating on the meaning of
some of the phrases:
 . . . he chose us in Christ before the
foundation of the world
 In love he destined us for adoption to
himself through Jesus Christ.
 In all wisdom and insight he has made
known to us the mystery of his will . . .
 . . . a plan for the fullness of times, to sum
up all things in Christ, in heaven and on
earth.
 . . . in him you were sealed with the
promised Holy Spirit, which is the first
installment of our inheritance.
Now that we have received the “first
installment of our inheritance”, let us not default
on our payments. Rather let us look forward to
obtaining complete ownership, admittance to the
presence of God forever.
