Eucharistic Adoration

Dear Friends of Holy Spirit,
Thank you to all who par/cipated
in the “24 Hours for the Lord” this past
Friday and Saturday. While I am
wri/ng this on Tuesday, I know we
have over 300 signed up for visita/on during the 24
hours! God bless you! I pray it is a spiritually renewing for you and may our many prayers bless our
troubled world.
Don’t forget our parish Penance Service this
Wednesday, March 9th, at 7:30 P.M. We will have
nine priests par/cipa/ng in the service so please
come and join us.
This weekend we are showing a video on our
parish of Holy Spirit. I hope it will help us realize the
many good things that are happening through our
parish. So many ministries are included in the video,
but many are not. For example, every week over 50
people who cannot come to church receive Holy
Communion…all by volunteers; or, the new Cookies
for the Homeless program offered once a month.
We are asking everyone to please support the parish
through the pledge opportunity that we will have
next weekend, March 12-13th. This week, you will
receive a mailing that you are invited to bring to
church next weekend, or mail back to the parish.
In June, we will be having a Ministry Fair, during
which we will all be asked to consider how we want
to use our Time and Talent for the ministries here at
Holy Spirit. I have heard many good things about
the last ministry fair and I am excited about the possibili/es for this summer. Stay tuned!

Fourth Sunday of Lent
We create hand made shawls that include a prayer with each one for our sick parishioners. This
ministry meets twice a month in the basement of
the Parish Center from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Everyone
is welcome and no experience is necessary. We

Next weekend we will be collecting cookies to give to St John’s
Church Garden ministry to be given
to the homeless people along with the
sandwich and water that they provide to over 200
homeless people who live in the alleys and streets
of downtown Indy.
If you would like to donate cookies (either store
bought or home-made), please place them on the
tables, (in a plastic bag), in either the east or west
vestibules following all Masses next weekend.

Each week will be a new and exciting theme. During

Framasa in Nashville, Indiana. Please keep all of us in your
prayers this weekend. Through the
power of the Holy Spirit, many great, wonderful, and
blessed things will take place in the hearts and minds
of our young people.
Next Saturday, March 12, we will
be hosting a traditional Seder Dinner following the 5:30 p.m. Mass in
the Cafeteria. A Seder Meal celebrates the Jewish Passover meal
commemorating the Israelites’ Exodus from Egypt. This is a special
opportunity to learn more about where so much of our
Eucharistic imagery comes from, most especially because Jesus and the disciples celebrated a Seder for
the Last Supper. All are welcome to join us, but
please reserve your spots by contacting the Parish
Office. Following the Seder, participants are asked to
bring a dish to share.
Friday, March 18, all middle and high school youth are
invited to go to and participate in the Winter Jam Concert at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. There will be 10
bands and musicians who will be performing, most
notable For King and Country and Matthew West. We
will meet at Holy Spirit at 6:00 p.m. and carpool to the
concert downtown and the
cost is $10 at the door.

Ven a la adoración del Santísimo todos los viernes de cuaresma. La exposición comienza a las 8:30 am
con una misa y el Santísimo esta

Oraremos con las estaciones de la
cruz todos los viernes a las 7:00 pm,

En el Ministerio de Chales de Oración creamos
chales de tejido en los cuales incluimos una oración
con cada chal que le regalamos a feligreses enfermos. Este ministerio se reúne dos veces al mes en
el sótano del centro parroquial de 7 p.m. a 9
p.m. Todos son bienvenidos y no se requiere experiencia en tejer. Tenemos instructoras que le pueden ayudar a aprender a tejer con una aguja o con

probé un sándwich y agua a mas de 200 indigentes, personas que viven en los callejones del
centro de nuestra ciudad. Nos gustaría darle
galletas al ministerio para que las repartan entre lo indigentes.
Te pedimos que por favor dones galletas
(preparadas en casa o compradas). Por favor
tráelas a uno de los vestíbulos de la iglesia el

El Campamento de Verano del Espíritu Santo es una
alternativa divertida al cuidado de niños tradicional.
Abriremos de 7 a.m. y cerraremos a las 6 p.m. de
lunes a viernes, comenzando desde el 6 de junio
hasta el 29 de julio.
Los niños disfrutaran de actividades como natación,
juegos de mesa y deportivos, trabajar en equipo, artes, manualidades y mucho más. Cada semana disfrutaran de un tema nuevo y excitante. Durante el
festival parroquial llevamos a nos niños a disfrutar
de excursiones todos los días! Tal vez visitemos el
zoológico, algún parque acuático o el cine. Para

Camp Rancho Framasa en
Nashville, Indiana. Por favor
oren por nosotros, para que a través del
poder del Espíritu Santo muchas cosas
grandes y maravillosas se lleven a cabo en los
corazones y las mentes de nuestros jóvenes
que participaran en el retiro.
El próximo sábado, después de la misa,
tendremos una Cena Seder en la cafetería
escolar después de la misa de 5:30 p.m. Una
Cena Seder tradicionalmente
Judía celebra la Pascua Judía y conmemora el
éxodo de los Israelitas de Egipto. Esta es una
oportunidad especial para aprender de donde
vienen muchas de nuestras imágenes
eucarísticas, y aun más importante, porque
Jesús y sus discípulos celebraron una Seder
(la Ultima Sena).Todos están bienvenidos
pero les pedimos que por favor reserven su
espacio llamando a la oficina parroquial.
Después del Seder, compartiremos platillos,
así que trae un platillo para compartir.
El viernes, 18 de marzo, todos los
estudiantes de secundaria y preparatoria (6°
a 12° grado) están invitados a ir y participar
del Concierto Winter Jam en Bankers life
Fieldhouse. Habrán 10 grupos y cantantes de
música cristiana, entre ellos estará: For King
and Country y Matthew West. Nos

iremos juntos al centro a las 6 p.m., por favor
sean puntuales. La entrada al concierto será
de $10 en taquilla. Antes de ir deberá llenar
