The Group ended the year with a solid performance registering a record profit before tax of RM831 million for the full year, marking a 14% improvement on the back of a 38% increase in record turnover amounting to RM8.6 billion. These results are a clear testament to our teamwork and hard work. While almost all Divisions have performed exceedingly well, our Plantation Division has once again led the year due to robust crude palm oil prices. Property as well as Trading and Manufacturing Division made a great achievement with a jump in profit and we are delighted that the Pharmaceutical Division, the latest addition to our Group, has performed equally well over a short period of time. Our Finance and Investment Division have also maintained its role in contributing to our Groups performance and growth while we expect Heavy Industries Division to perform even better in this coming financial year with the construction of the Second Generation Patrol Vessels. External conditions will continue to have an impact on our Group. However, given our past results and your commitment, I am certainly confident that we will rise to the challenge and aim to deliver another good year for our shareholders and stakeholders. Thank you. Terima kasih. Got Wi-Fi?” The Rolls owner nodded again. “Me too. What about a double bed?” “No. Do you?” asked the Rolls guy. “Yep.” The light turned green and the Kia took off. Jealous, the Rolls guy headed to the Pimp My Rolls customising shop and got a double bed put in, then drove around until he found the Kia parked on the side of the road. He knocked on the window. “Guess what. I got a double bed put in my car too.” The Kia owner peered out. “You got me out of the shower to tell me that?!” Know how to pray As the storm raged, the Captain realised his ship was sinking fast. He called out, “Anyone here know how to pray?” One man stepped forward. “Aye, Captain, I know how to pray.” “Good,” said the Captain, “you pray while the rest of us put on our life jackets — we’re one short.” A meeting in an Iron Curtain Country At a meeting in an Iron Curtain country, a Party member, Comrade Dobrinsky, got up from his seat and said, “Comrade Leader, I have only three questions to ask. If we are the greatest industrial nation in the world, what has happened to our automobiles? If we have the best agriculture in the world, what has happened to our bread? If we are the finest cattle raisers in the world, what has happened to our meat?” The Party chairman stared at Comrade Dobrinsky for a moment, then declared, “It is too late to reply to your questions tonight. I will answer them at our next meeting.” When the meeting opened the following week, another Party member rose and said, “I have just one question. What happened to Comrade Dobrinsky?” warehouse manager, standing nearby, stared in amazement. “Tell me,” the boss said, “how long has that guy worked for us?” “He didn’t work here,” replied his employee. “He was just delivering a package.” Send them a bill A lawyer and a doctor were having dinner at their country club. “I have a real problem,” the doctor said to the lawyer. “Members of this club ask me all kinds of medical questions. This hurts my practice. What can I do?” “That’s easy,” the attorney replied. “Send them a bill.” Two days later the doctor received a bill from the lawyer. Lousy rug Forsyth was a big-game hunter and a big bore. He had cornered a dinner guest in his trophy room to explain in great detail how each of his kills had been made. Pointing to a large tiger skin on the floor, he boasted, “I got that one in India. Just stumbled on him. I had no choice. It was either the tiger or me.” “The tiger was a wise choice,” sighed a weary guest. “You’d have made a lousy rug.” Five miles a day A doctor told Uncle Fudd that if he ran five miles a day for 300 days, he would lose 75 pounds. At the end of 300 days, Uncle Fudd called the doctor to report he had lost the weight, but he had a problem. “What’s the problem?” asked the doctor. “I’m 1500 miles from home.” Broken into the dress shop “You admit having broken into the dress shop four times?” asked the judge. “Yes,” answered the suspect. “And what did you steal?” “A dress, Your Honour,” replied the suspect. “One dress?” echoed the judge, “But you admit breaking in four times!” “Yes, Your Honour,” sighed the suspect. “But three times my wife didn’t like the color.” Had her begging Two men were talking at the office water cooler. One was telling the other about a fight he’d had with his wife. “In the end,” he said, “I had her begging on her knees.” “What did she say?” asked the coworker. Surprise tour and a lazy young man “She told me to come out from under the bed.” The owner of a manufacturing plant decided to make a surprise tour of the shop. Walking through the warehouse, he noticed a young man lazily leaning against a packing crate. “Just how much are you being paid a week?” the boss angrily asked him. No future inheritances “A hundred bucks,” answered the lounging guy. The boss pulled out his wallet and peeled off five $20 bills. “Here’s a week’s pay,” he shouted. “Now get out and don’t come back!” Wordlessly, the young man stuffed the money into his pocket and took off. The “There’s good news and bad news,” the divorce lawyer told his client. “I could sure use some good news,” sighed the client. “What is it?” “Your wife isn’t demanding that your future inheritances be included in the settlement.” “And the bad news?” “After the divorce, she’s marrying your father.” Extracted from the Internet 16 Mesyuarat Agung Kelab Sukan Boustead 2011 Antara ahli-ahli yang hadir Mesyuarat sedang dijalankan K elab Sukan Boustead (KSB) telah mengadakan Mesyuarat Agung bagi tahun 2011 pada 23 Februari 2012 bertempat di Tingkat 9, Kompleks Sukan Menara Boustead di mana nama-nama Ahli Jawatankuasa baru untuk sesi 2012 telah diumumkan seperti berikut: Pengerusi mengucapkan terima kasih kepada ahli-ahli kelab yang hadir pada petang itu bagi menyempurnakan agenda mesyuarat dan juga bekerjasama untuk perlantikan Ahli Jawatankuasa baru.
